• Suzanne (8/5): Great place for a short stay - Esplanade Gateway is comfortable with good quality linen on the bed and cushions for added comfort. The bathroom is generous in size with a good supply of hot water. The kitchen area, although tiny has the items necessary to make breakfast. Esplanade Gateway is within short driving distance of lots of cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended for a short stay.

• Stephen (7/5): Nice get away, close to beach - Over the road from the beach. Self contained. Very well fitted out.. Helpful owner. Shops a little way away. I had no vehicle so out of the way. I got a shock it was a shed out the back. Perhaps I didn't read the description properly.

• Michelle (9/5): Superb - Location great, comfy bed, quiet apart from trees banging onto building. Wine much appreciated thank you There was a terrible smell in the bathroom. We fixed this by washing the shower out a few times and cleaning it.

• Lindsay (4/5): Disappointing. Cramped not cosy - I guess the proximity to D’Arenburg was the main reason for this location. Room was well presented quality and comfortable. Cramped. Although only an overnighter was a crowded room. Could not have done multiple nights here

I did struggle with an infant as this is set out like a studio apartment but that is completely on me, not the property/hosts

Easy self check in process and great communication from the hosts. They gave us several changes of towels as we were there for 2 weeks. Great location opposite the beach and local supermarket is within a few minutes drive. Very reasonably priced.

I was very cosy in the comfortable bed, the kitchenette had all anyone could need to make a meal and the bathroom was huge...and the shower so wonderfully roomy. I loved everything about it

Quick and easy self check in. Very accommodating and quick to communicate when I left an item in the apartment. Highly recommend. There isn't anything I didn't like about this stay.

Thank you Matt. Just a suggestion. Could have had a small sign on the gate to the laneway saying Esplanade Gateway to Studio accommodation. As I was not sure if it was at the correct address.
