Guest Reviews
- helen (3/5): Lovely except been woken up to the punding gym noise .. so disappointing - The hotel is beautiful. As are the rooms & the staff are very helpful My room 325- the music from the gym was pounding.... woke us up. Completely ridiculous .

- Maebh (10/5): -
- Viktorija (10/5): - Hotel was amazing, best part - views from the room. We really enjoyed stay in hotel, rooms were clean, bed very comfortable, breakfast really nice. Just what we needed! Chill and very relaxing time.
- Dana (8/5): - I love that it was on waterfront property and our balcony view
- Elisabeth (9/5): Exceptional hotel and Location - Location...Food..Facilities Nothing..it was very good.
- david (8/5): Good would stay again without breakfast - There was more to the hotel than we used as we were there for one night staff was excellent and polite the location was great but the weather was dismal that night the bar food was excellent in the evening The price of breakfast for a buffet fry up
- Goldstream (9/5): - Staff very friendly. Food excellent. Beautiful hotel. Would stay again. There was nothing to dislike.
- Thomas (10/5): Was a guest at a family wedding and from start to finish could not fault the hotel or staff. - Great staff and understanding , warm friendly welcome to the hotel. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. All round a great hotel to stay on!
- Alison (10/5): Great place to stay and eat with fantastic river views - Easy check in. Friendly professional staff. Rooms were clean and had fantastic river views. Great choice and quality of food at both the Restaurant and at the Bar. N/A
- Trudy (10/5): - Very peaceful. Had a room with a balcony and it was lovely to view the sea in the mornings. Dry dock bar food was excellent and staff were friendly
- Florence (9/5): Very pleasant stay. - Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and spacious bedroom, lovely bedroom. Plenty of tea and coffee. Great choice at breakfast, and the food in the buffet was hot (usually buffets aren’t very hot) Only negative was no body lotion, or hair conditioner. Car chargers provided by external sources, would prefer if owned and managed by hotel.
- Dympna (9/5): -
- Ward (9/5): A most beautiful balcony setting water and wild life but above comments were a problem. - View and large clean room. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was a let down. Too sprawled out for self service. Suggest more compact an arrangement.
If I had known the car had to be parked away up 3 flights of steps I quite frankly would not have booked. I have a blue badge and it was an effort to walk down roads to reception as the few disabled spaces were taken. Thankfully on checkout I asked the reception staff if I could leave my bag ( an overnight stay) with them as I then struggled up roads avoiding steps, to bring my car down to collect it. Most car owners seemed to be going to the gym and spa facilities.
- Tadhg (8/5): - Room & leisure facilities Breakfast good but could have more choice
- Lynch (10/5): -
- Banfield (8/5): We enjoyed our few days at Ferrycarraig - Lovely room & very comfy bed. Balcony was nice overlooking the river but it could do with an upgrade. The bar area was a bit old-fashioned & vegetarian options weren’t great. There was no vegetarian option available in the main restaurant.
- Thomas (10/5): - Stunning views all over the hotel, lovely staff and lovely food
- Ashton (9/5): I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel would recommend to a friend - Lovely location The dinner menu wasn’t great
- Robin (7/5): Very good. - Breakfast excellent except waitress did not understand 'cup of white coffee'!!
Dinner [in bar] excellent
Room, machine coffee undrinkable- too harsh . Kettle would not work, upper vent window jammed slightly open, too high to reach easily, Cold sink tap did NOT produce fully cold water. Shower not used as with a dodgy leg nothing near taps to hang on to! See above, also people parking long term in put down places.
- Bridie (10/5): Rest and relaxation from stress and noise - Warm, clean, comfortable , good food and lovely staff Couldn’t really find any fault with it
- Sinéad (10/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): Overall it was great and I’ll definitely be back! - The staff were so nice and accommodating. The scenery is gorgeous! The location was perfect and so peaceful.
- Joyce (9/5): Relaxing good facilities and hope to go back. - We had a lovely evening meal in the Dry Dock bar and breakfast was served in the main restaurant. Excellent choice of food - gluten free much appreciated- unfortunately found a grey hair in my scrambled egg but everything else perfect The hair in my scrambled egg.
- Jessica (7/5): -
- Paula (8/5): Good but could be better - We were facing the water which was lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Slept well. Little bit shabby in places. Paint work definitely needed to be done. Handles on window loose.
- Christine (10/5): -
- keith (10/5): A beautiful hotel - The hotel is extremely good and everything was excellent.
The staff are professional helpful and caring.
The standard of food, restaurants and client areas are outstanding.
Our suite was perfect with separate lounge bedroom walk in closet and a huge bathroom, patio and makeover room. all fantastic!!!! 0

- Alison (10/5): -
- Violeta (10/5): -
- Sorcha (8/5): A lovely hotel with a great sea view - We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade which came with a nice little outdoor decking area. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of fruit, yoghurt& cereal options for non-fry eaters like myself. The leisure facilities were fantastic with a great gym(amazing view while you're exercising!)& very well maintained swimming pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub( not always the case that they are well maintained!). Gorgeous views from our room of the sea. We had dinner on the night we arrived in the Docks restaurant onsite which was very disappointing, so much so that we decided not to eat onsite again ( apart from brekkie which was very good). We both had fish dishes which were really bland and insipid. Shame as our stay otherwise was excellent.

- Claire (10/5): -

- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful views and friendly staff. - We had a spacious room with lovely patio and river view. Pool, sauna and steam room beautiful, very clean and much needed after a long day of travelling. Staff excellent and so friendly. Seafood chowder and warm seafood salad in pub delicious. Pillows flat and beds a bit too firm.
- Brian (9/5): Very enjoyable - Room size, breakfast, Location, swimming pool Nothing
- Shona (8/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Relaxing, quiet and scenic. Nothing.
- Anne (9/5): Very relaxing stay. - Spacious room, lovely view. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Plenty of parking available. Re breakfast: I would prefer if hot food was cooked to order.
- Maria (10/5): Relaxing. Nice food. - Great location. All good.
- Rhiann (10/5): Amazing and relaxing. - The food, the view, the room was immaculate. Pillows were a tad too hard.

- John (10/5): Beautiful quiet hotel, lovely river backdrop - Beautiful setting, great view of the river from the balcony in our room, excellent staff, very nice food No complaints!
- Alex (10/5): Was very good - The hotel room was lovely and a good location a short drive to Wexford town the leisure centre was lovely and had lots of facilities to use Not that I didn’t like anything but we tried to go the restaurant and they said it was booked so book early
- antoinette (3/5): - Very noisy during the night, lots of screaming and shouting from 3am to about 4.30. Noisy between 1 and 2 am but not so bad. Disappointing that a night duty porter did not address the noise issue
- Suzanne (10/5): -
- Dr.Nibras (10/5): - The view, the cleanilness Nothing
- Caroline (6/5): - The location was fabulous, convenient from the ferry and beatiful next to the river. Reeds restaurant was excellent - the food was great and tbe staff were very professional and friendly. We found the bedding too hot for the prevailing temperature. We were woken at about 4 am because of a flashing light from the lobby light in our room, presumably from a short circuit. We thought about calling reception but we decided our sleep would be even more disturbed if we did so. When we reported it in the morning we felt tbe receptionist was a bit dismissive. Anyway, we felt pretty crap after the disturbed night.
- Ian (8/5): -
- Kathryn (10/5): Great short stay. Would return - Brilliant room. V calm atmosphere. Great room and breakfast in restaurant overlooking river lovely. Welcoming, friendly staff, would definitely recommend and stay again. Close to the ferry port too which was great. Nothing

- Brian (9/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Relaxing and welcoming - Location and Staff Nothing
- James (7/5): Nice place. Not cheap but great food. - Bar and grill staff very friendly and helpful. Dave Walsh. Exceptional dinner. Pork was gorgeous. Breakfast also really good. Staff so helpful. Managed to find me some grapefruit juice and did my bacon specially for me. What a lovely bunch. Toilet seat was a bit wobbly and bathroom could have been cleaner. Tried to buy some of the in house toiletries but reception lady forgot. She also completely confused us about spa opening times. First 07.30 then 08.30 then 09.30 as it was Sunday. Also quite difficult to understand her odd accent.
- Martin (9/5): - Very clean and tidy hotel. Excellent facilities and managed to get a post work swim and sauna in and a gym session the morning before I left. Perfect quiet spot for work travel. Carparking a bit tight. But all good otherwise.

- Ian (9/5): Lovely hotel in a great location with excellent facilities - Great location, good facilities. No fridge in the suite

- Jane (10/5): -
- Derek (9/5): -
- Terence (9/5): Luxury hotel in stunning setting - Great views of the estuary Expensive
- Anthony (8/5): Overnight stay in Ferrycarrig Hotel, Wexford. - We had a thoroughly good overnight stay that included an excellent buffet breakfast- we also had an excellent dinner in the hotel's Reeds Restaurant. Corridors from bar and dining areas to lifts and rooms were somewhat narrow and dated, which was the only con aspect of the Hotel.
- Saoirse (8/5): Comfortable stay with nice staff and good food. Spa closed on Sundays and Mondays for treatments. - The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous, lots of options and first time we have ever got a hot breakfast delivered to our room which was great as usually by the time it is delivered to the room it is cold. We had dinner in the bar and it was lovely and tasty, great portion sizes. I got the pasta and my partner got the chefs special sweet and sour chicken. We booked this hotel with the intention of getting a treatment in the spa. Unfortunately, we were told that the lady who does treatments doesn't work on Sundays and Mondays and we arrived on a Sunday of course. This was quite disappointing as there was no mention of this on the website. Also, the seating in the bar where there are couches is quite uncomfortable as they are too small for the tables. However, overall it was a pleasant stay.
- Tony (8/5): Very enjoyable - Nice pool area
- Briege (10/5): -
- Stephen_Clarke (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): Great stay! - Gorgeous breakfast. Really friendly staff. The place was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The gym and the pool is definitely the best part. Nothing in particular
- Sean (10/5): -
- Syriac (8/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): Relaxed and well worth the price - The room was spacious and newly refurbished. The leisure centre was excellent. The restaurant in the hotel was exceptional.
- Paul (9/5): Very good hotel, wonderful staff - Great hotel, good food, great location Stairs to get to restaurant and bar
- Elizabeth (10/5): Easter break - The hotel was exceptional. It was in a wonderful location. Outside area's were beautiful. The staff were so pleasant and nothing was to much for them. We had dinner on two nights in the Dry dock and can highly recommend it. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Can highly recommend and will definitely be back.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Padraic (8/5): A very good experience - Excellent room but towards the end a little problem with the hot water but overall a excellent experience The long corridor and the carpet
- Catherine (5/5): Good but not Good Enough to plan a return - Reception was competent and the food was OK both on the bar and restaurant but not enough to make it memorable enough to come back when there are other options so close by who do food and ambience and cocktails better.... We booked a superior room with balcony and view and to say the least is was tired and dated. A cheap print was bowed in the frame and lopsided on the wall. The head rest was faux black leather and entirely not in keeping with the rest of the rooms decor if you could argue it was decorated. Cheap white painted furntiure well past its best by date and would not even be saleable on donedeal. Recently stayed at the Whitford down the road and while there were more issues around a not open restaurant and a way too busy bar the decor in both the communal areas and the rooms were top notch. Ferrycarrig there is a reason that hotel is 9.1 and you are less in reviews????? The view on the balcony was superior but the railings were wrought iron dated with paint chipping off and moss and green material all over it. there is no privacy screen between balconies and while we were up early and it was a nice morning so we could have enjoyed coffee on the balcony our neighbours got there first and sat out for 3 hours (as they were entitled to do) but the close proximity and no screen with short iron bars between us we did not feel that we could utilise it as we would comparatively speaking be sitting back to back with no privacy for conversation etc.
