• Nola (7/5): Good - Was a bit uncomfortable driving up to their front door each time and they always kept their front door open so you can see everyone inside , when we first arrived there were lots of cars and people on the property and we were just taken by surprise as we didn’t realise how little privacy the space had as you can’t see it on the listings photos. There’s nothing they can do about it and they’re lovely people but if you want to feel secluded and private this isn’t the right place

It is awesome. Superbly equipped with everything you need for a weekend or even a week. First class room fittings. Magnificent country views. However the best part is the hosts. Kelly and Brett are just the nicest, most accomodating and helpful hosts you’ll ever meet. If you’re thinking of booking this place, stop right now. Click the button and book Vineyard Vacation. • Rochelle (10/5): Exceptional - Great set up, comfortable and super clean. Very well appointed with everything we needed for a weekend get away. Spa was a nice addition although a little surprised that it was behind the main house, didn't pick that up from the photos. It was extremely private, we never saw or heard the hosts even though the unit is attached to the main house. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again if the occasion arose. It’s a shame that the oven was not able to be used (and to be totally clear it is not advertised as including an oven). Lovely equipment so just seems a real waste that it can’t be used. Other than that everything was perfect.

• Abby (10/5): Perfect for a weekend away - The property has fantastic views. It’s not too far away from Mangawhai village or the beach but far enough away to feel secluded and not be disturbed. The property is attached to the owner’s property, we met them on check in, who were absolutely lovely. Even though it’s right next to the main house it still felt very private and we didn’t have any issues. The kitchen facilities are great, can’t use the stove but there’s a hot plate that does the job as well as an air fryer which came in very handy. Fridge and freezer are perfect size for storing enough food for our little long weekend get away. Spa pool is great as well, it’s not too far from the property was just a shame it was cloudy when we were there so we couldn’t see the stars The bedside lamps are super bright, so not great for reading a book whilst someone is sleeping, but that’s barely an issue this property is fantastic

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind enough to allow us to use the outside space as otherwise it would have been an ideal place to sit and relax while looking at the fabulous views.

• Melissa (7/5): Good - Fantastic place to stay. Amazing, quiet, serene views and super warm inside as it's all double glazed and has central heating and electric blankets. Thoughtful chocolate on pillow, milk and snacks provided. I'd recommend staying there! I don't think the amenities and layout of the space is clearly described though. And for some, that might not matter, but it wasn't as I expected. The accommodation is attached to the main house, that is occupied by the owner and their mother. You park at the front door of the main house, and walk around to the accommodation access, which is outside the main house kitchen. Suggestion: some planting or trellis would help provide more privacy. The spa pool isn't near the accommodation, it's along the deck, past main house bedrooms, to the other side of the house. I had thought it was part of the accommodation and so didn't use it at first as I felt uncomfortable. Perhaps privacy screens would help there. In staying that, the spa was really clean, and a georgous view. The owner was welcoming, although my preference would have been to not have contact while there. Again, some people might like that, just my preference. Also the oven isn't available, even though it's shown in the picture. We brought a pizza to cook but couldn't. Changing wording from 'fully equip kitchen' to specificying no oven would be useful. Would still highly recommend the stay.

Good selection of kitchenware/cutlery/dinnerware; had pretty much everything that I needed. Helpful and friendly host. The dirt roads between the town center and the accommodation were a little bumpy.

Very pleased to enjoy a beautiful modern rural environment & great apartment not far from cafe Bennetts Chocolates. Sea & sea views not far away. Fabulous New World if doing some self catering, wine etc. apartment modern & pristine clean. Bed very comfortable. Safe & secure with a beautiful vista to wake up to. Highly recommend for some leisure time in Mangawhai. Kelly very nice & helpful with info. Wasn’t expecting dirt road …..soon got over that

The comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation were exceptional making us feel fortunate to stay a night in such a lovely place after a long day of hiking. Wi-Fi, Smart-TV and air conditioner worked flawlessly. The view from the window was nice and refreshing.

Kelly and Brett are kind hosts and very friendly. We had a fantastic time relaxing and watched shooting stars whilst soaking in the hot tub. Everything was lovely nothing we didn't dislike.
