• Gianvito (10/5): The most beautiful travel experience. - The most beautiful travel experience we’ve had so far in Indonesia! Ari and Uyung welcomed us as if we were members of their family, and we felt at home from the very first moment. The food was amazing, the company even better, and we spent our days doing activities together, laughing and having fun non-stop. The rooms are comfortable, but of course don’t expect luxury or extreme comfort, you are surrounded by nature with an incredible jungle view, so a little adaptability and adventurous spirit are part of the experience. And honestly, that is exactly what makes this place so special. Our trip could not have been better. If you are looking for breathtaking views and want to experience the real Indonesia while feeling part of a family, this is the perfect place. This is a place that will truly warm your heart ❤️ (Thank you cacca Ari and cacca Uyung)

• Emelie (10/5): - Had an amazing stay here 🌸 A small, family-run farmstay with the most beautiful, welcoming energy. Everything felt peaceful, friendly and genuinely warm. they always made sure I had everything I needed! We shared delicious meals together for breakfast and dinner, and they kindly showed me around the area during the days, which made the experience feel very special and personal. The bamboo walls were a blessing, falling asleep to the sounds of the living jungle made me feel deeply connected to nature. So sad to leave, but I will definitely be back! 🤗
• Winnie (10/5): Fijn verblijf in prachtige natuur omringd met lieve, warme mensen die de farmstay runnen. - This place is beautiful- in nature and the people who run it. Ari, Uyung and everyone else welcomed me like old friends or family, always invited me on their trips and to join for a delicious meal (and even a wedding!). The farm stay is very peaceful, with many cute animals running around and a garden filled with fresh fruits & veggies. The room was very nice, comfy bed and a view on the garden. I liked helping cooking and learning some recipes, and after dinner we would often sing songs or share music. I hope to be back and recommend to anyone who loves being in nature and who isn’t shy from friendly faces and farm life on a mountain ❤️

The area itself is stunning, but what really made it special were the hosts, they went above and beyond, making us feel not like guests but like part of their family. Der Besitzer und seine Mannschaft sind extrem Hilfsbereit und Freundlich und Retter in Not. Schlicht weg wer eine ruhige Unterkunft um Cianjur sucht kommt um diese nicht rum. Wir kommen gerne wieder
• Charlotte (10/5): . - Tout. Deuxième étape depuis notre arrivée à Java, nous voulions quitter l’ambiance de la ville pour découvrir les villages et nous avons été comblés. L’accueil de Ari et toute sa bande est très convivial et chaleureux. Nous avons fait connaissance autour d’un repas délicieux. Ils ont à coeur de nous faire découvrir les spécialités et l’authenticité indonésienne et sundanese. Nous nous sommes laissés guider par Bani et Ari pour un trek à travers les rizières jusqu’à la cascade. Nous avons découvert la fabrication du sucre de palmier et dégusté du café latté glacé sur le site de production. Bref s’était tellement bien que nous avons prolongé notre séjour en vu de passer une nuit sur le Cirata dans le village flottant de pêcheurs. J’en oublie la visite du matin au village voisin de Farmstay Manangel, en passant par l’école et la piscine d’eau de source. Un souvenir inoubliable que ces 3 jours intenses ! Inoubliable humainement particulièrement. Tout ce qu’on y a vécu.

• Denise (10/5): Unique experience - A little gem hidden in the hills. Uyung and Ari make you feel right at home. The facilities are basic but very clean. The wifi is excellent.The food (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious and the conversations with the hosts were the best. We had a great time.
• Andrea (10/5): - An immersive experience in a very cute Homestay in the jungle. Ari and friends are a super cool team of people. I happened to be there while sick and they took good care of me for the whole stay until I was back on my feet and able to enjoy with them the surroundings: coffee shop and plantations, rice fields, waterfalls...and three meals a day super tasty and made with love. I'll definitely come pack if i pass by Cianjur Nothing, everything was great! Just don't expect fancy 5 stars place, we're in the forest with hand crafted huts! Super cool 😎

• Armin (10/5): - Einfach alles. Vielen Dank an Ari (bester Guide) Ujung (lustigster und bester Gitarrenspieler) und Salman (bester Koch überhaupt). Wir haben uns wahnsinnig wohlgefühlt, unsere Kinder waren sehr glücklich mit euch. An Herzlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Unterkunft ist sehr einfach. • Charlotte (9/5): Genoten van ons verblijf - Vriendelijk en behulpzame host. Het eten wat geserveerd werd was geweldig. De omgeving is mooi. De accommodatie zelf is basic maar zeker een ervaring.
• Karlijn (9/5): Unieke leuke ervaring - Verblijven in de farmstay bij Ari & Uyung & Salman en de crew is een geweldige en bijzondere ervaring. Ze spreken goed Engels en zorgen ervoor dat het aan niks ontbreekt: 3 keer per dag heerlijk eten, traditioneel sundanees, met veel variatie in groenten, vlees, en vis. Ook onze kinderen vonden het allemaal heel lekker. Ari is een geweldige gids om de omgeving te laten zien. Van de rijstvelden in het dorp. Tot de bezienswaardigheden in de wijdere omgeving van Cianjur. (Check zijn video’s op YouTube). Echt een unieke trip tijdens onze reis door Java Indonesië. De faciliteiten zijn basic. Daar moet je je op instellen/ of op voorbereiden.

• Helen (10/5): The best experience of a stay in over 35yrs. Ari and his friends shared their world with us. Truly lucky. - The people at Farmstay Manangel are truly wonderful. After 35yrs of travelling we have never met and stayed with more genuine, warm, welcoming and beautiful people. Ari runs this farmstay with a warmth unequalled and brings the village into its fold - where you meet locals and get to really feel part of the place. Living in nature and the surrounding jungle lives within its spaces. I can’t be more glowing about the ethics and nature of the farmstay and the wonderful people we were lucky to meet and share their world. We laughed a lot and always ate wonderful food together. Just the best.
• Eva (9/5): Leer het echte leven in het indonesische binnenland kennen - Authentiek verblijf in de bergen, lekker indonesisch eten samen met de gastheren, heel gastvrij, prachtige uitstappen mogelijk oa trekking in jungle met bezoek aan echt dorpje met prachtige rijstvelden en bezoek aan floating village. Je komt alles te weten wat je wil weten over het leven in een bergdorp in indonesie. Heel goede value for money. Een echte aanrader!

Cela n'a pas été un problème pour nous mais il faut savoir que l'emplacement est éloigné de la ville (5 km mais la route est difficile donc pas ou peu de voitures s'y rendent)
• Filip (10/5): Back-to-basics authentic Indonesian countryside experience with the best hosts! - The place is located in a rural village outside Cianjur. The farm-stay offers the opportunity to stay in a small community hosted by 4 young enthousiast guys proud of the village they live in. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities are minimal but this is part of the experience.

• Brahim (10/5): Unforgettable stay - My stay at Ari and friends' farmstay was simply unforgettable. These guys are just really kind and welcoming people, always doing their best to make you feel like home. We shared meals together — the food that chef Salman cooks is just so tasty — and we’d spend time talking about deep stuff sometimes, and other times just laughing until our stomachs hurt. One thing I really appreciated is that they care a lot about doing tourism in a sustainable way. You can see they respect the village, the people and the nature around them. That really made me feel good being there. The place they’ve built is full of care and creativity, right in the middle of nature — surrounded by trees, plants, mountains and forests. Just peace. Of course, this is a farmstay, so don’t expect luxuries or stylish furniture. Everything is simple, rustic. You might see a few small insects here and there in your room, but really, nothing to worry about — it’s part of being close to nature. Thanks again Ari and team for this beautiful experience. I’ll come back as soon as I can.

• Núria (10/5): Exceptional - There's no words to describe my stay in Farmstay Manangel. This little farmstay is run by three amazing human beings along the best Ibu. It was inspiring sharing time with this little big team, witnessing the good impact on their community and being able to learn from sundanese culture, farm and jungle knowledge. The meals are delicious and of course km0. The room has enormous bed with mosquito net and a cozy rest area. Thank you for these funny days and music lessons! I'm really thankful for meeting you and looking forward to meet you again! I wish all you the best !! Leaving this place..

• Tim (10/5): So many good memories! - What a place! The guys are amazing and helped me to feel at home from the first moment. I loved going on a walk to find food for our lunch, which we ate together in a traditional way on a banana leaf. It was a very peaceful place, and I slept very well both nights. The highlight was playing football in the empty swimming pool! Leaving my new friends!
• Robin (10/5): A beautiful experience - If you have the time, staying here is a must. It was such a revelation after we had the busy streets of jakarta. Ari and Uiung are fantastic hosts, and speak good English. Together with Ibu and their other friends, they can give you a true local jungle experience, with local food, great views, and fresh fruit and spices straight from the plants and trees. We loved every bit of it. In hindsight, we probably should've stayed a bit longer than only the 2 nights we did. As you would expect, it is simplistic, but that is also the appeal. They build these houses themselves, showers, and kitchen themselves! It is a great opportunity to really connect with locals in a non-touristy area. Cianjur is easily reachable through shuttle buses from Jakarta, Bandung and Bogor, bookable through Traveloka.

• Greengrass (10/5): Look no further - you definitely want to stay here! - WOW. This place is just amazing. The guys that run it are absolute gems and went out of their way to pick me up, take me sightseeing and cook for me (not just the way to a man's heart - but a woman's too!) I've been travelling for 10 weeks now and it still stands out as one of the best experiences of my trip. Village life, so peaceful, lots of laughs and incredible food!! That I didn't have more time there!

In a jungle village they are building their farmstay not just for themselves but also for you to experience the jungle and its village but also for the village to benefit from their farm. It’s the place to unwind from the city stress. I absolutely loved it! Nothing. Note it’s not a resort or 6 star hotel, it’s a farmstay in a jungle village.

• Ahmed (9/5): True Hidden Gem of Cianjur.. Sleepover with friends.. - The hosts are friendly.. The guests also friendly.. But the other guys are too excited (not the cats, they kind of ignore you.. at first).. They keeping a goat - Marco.. two dogs - Bobby and Dora the puppy, and two cats - did not remember their name but they always join you at supper.. Come with no expectation, but i think it is quite nice. You can enjoy many relaxing view, listening to the calming voice of nature, have a good conversation with the hosts or the other guest, reading a book, or just doing nothing.. About the room, i got the one with outdoor bathroom but with the big live screen showing me the valley - faraway city view.. This is what you called a hidden gem. Would love to be back here again someday.. The road to the house from the city is like a maze and you are not sure at first.. but after going the same route twice, actually i think it's fine..
