Maija (10/5): Rentoa paljuilua. - Rauhallinen sijainti, keittiössä oli hyvin astioita! Oleskelutila sisällä tuntui vähän huonolta porukalla olla, hyvä keli sattui niin oltiin ihanalla terassilla.

Olli (9/5): - Hyvä tukikohta lyhyeen lumilomaan. Freeskin rinteet ihan vieressä ja Imatralta löytyy ensilumenlatu, vaikka luonnon lunta vielä puuttuikin. Mökissä oli kaikki tarvittava ja tila oli siisti. Kannattaa tsekata läheisen Hirsirannan tunnelmallinen rantasauna & avanto.

Maria (10/5): Calm, amazing lakeside escape and kind, responsive hosts. - Mattikala Cottages won us over in five minutes. The house is calm, bright, and clean. Everything we needed was there: hooks by the door, sharp knives, comfy beds, quiet corners for a book. The private beach kept pulling us back. Morning coffee with toes in the water, lazy swims after lunch, and a barbecue that turned dinner into a little celebration. Smoke, stars, happy silence. One hell of an experience. We left rested and a little smug that we found this place. We are coming back every year. Thank you, Mattikala. Nothing to say!

INGRID-MIHAELA (10/5): Cozy - Cabana este foarte drăguță si confortabila! Pentru iubitorii de sauna, este un atu in plus faptul ca cei care stau in cabana au propria sauna 🫠! Oarecum stresante regulile legate de eliberarea camerei - trebuie strânse așternuturile, paturile facute, mobilierul trebuie pus exact unde erau la început, grătarul curățat daca a fost folosit etc. Dacă esti pe graba la plecare, cred ca poate fi stresant. În caz contrar, taxa perceputa pt curățenie este mare: 150 euro cel puțin. Noi am avut ceva timp in ziua respectiva si speram ca am reușit sa punem totul la punct si de regula suntem oricum organizati si vrem sa nu cream prea mult deranj.
Agnieszka (10/5): Czuliśmy się bardzo komfortowo w Matikkala 😀 - Wspaniałe okoliczności przyrody. Dużo wspólnej przestrzeni do odpoczynku w domu. Meble na tarasie. Bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. W domu było bardzo czysto i wygodnie.

Meritxell (8/5): Beautiful cabin at an idilic location - The property was very easy to find, super clean and in a great and peaceful location. It has a sauna and some outdoor games that we used, both very nice pluses! All in all, a lovely place. I was surprised at having to pay extra for bed linen and having to make my own bed - but it could be that I have very little experience with cabins and it’s the norm! One of the beds on the downstairs bedroom was a bit uncomfortable due to it being a bit tilted. The wifi wasn’t really working for us but it wasn’t necessary. Nothing major, I would recommend this place still!

Ivan (10/5): All-around great place for family holidays with fantastic service and cozy stay - The stay at the cottage was exceptional. The property is well maintained, clean, and greatly located with a ~10 minutes walk to the lake and around 10 minutes ride to the local grocery stores. We had our dog with us and there are a plethora of trails for everyone to enjoy (we visited in summer). The place was superbly equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay (and then some). The communication with the property manager and the owner was fantastic - they were extremely helpful (needed some assistance on running a few appliances and the internet) and super responsive. We thought everything was fantastic and purely as a personal preference and really not a down point - the bed mattresses could have been tad bit stiffer and the indoor lights in certain areas could have been brighter.
Ville (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful stay :) - Matikkala cottage was everything we hoped for. Cozy, fully equipped and owner, who was quick to solve any issues. A great stay on a quiet island near Ruokolahti! Good for families. Not really something the owner can change but the closest swimming location is better reached with a bike or car.
Mikhail (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed stay in the cottage. it is equipped with everything you need for comfortable stay. The host was very kind and attentive to our needs. I hope we will come again one day.
Ana (9/5): Adorable cottage surrounded by forest - The cottage is just adorable. Staying in the middle of a forest, but still having all the amenities. It is well equipped and there’s a big patio with a BBQ. There were some issues with wifi and the host fixed it immediately. That was very appreciated. There are nice berry picking spots walking distance from the cottage. We just regret not staying longer than 3 nights. It is located relatively close to the gigantic Stora Enso paper plant (10 min drive).
