• Michaela (7/5): - tolle Lage mitten von der Altstadt, nettes Personal, eine atemberaubende Terrasse über den Dächern Syrakus man konnte sogar das Meer sehen, sehr schönes und geräumiges Badezimmer - nette Einrichtung - Die Pflanzen auf der Terrasse und am Eingang haben leider nicht genug Wasser bekommen und sind vertrocknet. die Anzahl der Kleiderbügeln war nicht ausreichend - der private Balkon war leider nur mit einem Stuhl ausgestattet, was das Verweilen zu zweit etwas erschwert hat.

• James (8/5): Provide a daily room service and make guests more welcome - Great location the accommodation nicely designed and appointed, a good sized room and comfortable bed and en-suite. A great roof terrace, sun loungers would be a welcome addition. The room had limited light from a high window and a humidifier to reduce dampness maybe occurred due to our late in the season visit. The floors had not been thoroughly cleaned and there was no room service during our seven night stay. Towels were changed at our request. The host and management did not attend call in at any point.

The couch bed wasn't made up. When I asked, they told me the assumed because we were 2 people, we didn't want the 2nd bed, and that it would cost another 15 Euro to make the bed.

Loved the authentic courtyard entrance and the view from the roof terrace was amazing! The air conditioning was better than any hotel we stayed in during our trip! The location is great and walkable to everything as Ortigia is a small island. One thing I didn’t realise is that it was a a guest room and there were other guest rooms in the same property.

I would say it’s more of an Airbnb with limited facilities however you are in the centre of everything - beach, restaurants, landmarks etc etc. Host showed us around at the beginning and we had a complimentary breakfast on our terrace the next morning. • Nina (7/5): - Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. The house is located in the historic center of Ortigia and is very old which adds a lot of charm. This is not a hotel or bed& breakfast, these are just self- catered rooms and they should be presented like that. They do not provide daily housekeeping or possibility of breakfast. Towels were changed once during our 4 night stay. Shower gel and hand wash were not replenished during our stay and there was no one around to ask for it. The rooms itself are nice but not a good value for the money. The staff sends you Whatapp messages all the time. This is tiresome. People are on holiday and do not want to hang on the phone all the time.

The staff were very lovely and attentive. The rooftop was also such a selling point! It was slightly confusing to access, I think clearer signage is needed once you get inside the building.

• Natalie (5/5): Super Lage , aber Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht ! - Top Lage, schöne Dachterrasse, schöne Einrichtung, einen Ansprechpartner hatten wir nur per WhatsApp - die Dame war sehr nett und hat schnell geantwortet. Am ersten Tag waren süße Teile vor der Tür! Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer . Preis-Leistung stimmt hier leider gar nicht. Es war bei Buchung nicht ersichtlich , dass es sich nicht um ein Hotel handelt - es ist eher eine Wohnung. Zimmer hat null Aussicht , sehr dunkel durch ein kleines Dachfenster. Was uns sehr gestört hat: Reinigung der Zimmer , Wechsel der Handtücher und Leerung der Mülleimer erst nach drei Tagen . Dadurch , dass man kein Toilettenpapier in das WC werfen darf sehr unhygienisch! Badboden war dreckig - da lagen auch schwarze lange Haare. Wir baten am zweiten Tag um Wechsel der Handtücher und neues Toilettenpapier- das hätte zusätzlich 25 Euro + 10 Euro für Toilettenpapier gekostet! Bei dem Zimmerpreis eine Unverschämtheit. Man ist daher mit einem Hotel echt besser dran und da ist bei dem Preis ich noch Frühstück inklusive. Check-out um 10 Uhr ist zu früh.

Ho particolarmente apprezzato le risposte tempestive alle mie domande prima del viaggio, bravi davvero utili e veloci - importante per l'esperienza cliente Colazione in camera non è male, forse avrei aggiunto un succo di frutta (dato che non bevo caffée...) Non ho apprezzato i 20€ caricati per prenotare il parcheggio per le nostre 2 auto. Probabilmente l'avevate detto e scritto prima non disputo, ma avrei apprezzato che questo servizio fosse incluso (non il parcheggio, ma la prenotazione del parcheggio). Comunque il parcheggio indicato era molto comodo e vicino alla casa.

Casadelmar znajduje sie w kamienicy na urokliwej wąskiej uliczce Ortigii, w zasadzie przy samym placu Duomo. Blisko wszędzie. Chciałabym tam wrócić;) Było ekstra. Polecamy!

Manque de rideaux plus assombrissant lorsqu'on aime l'obscurité totale... et une petite table ou support supplémentaire à l'intérieur pour poser ses petites choses.

Apartment and roof terrace are beautiful. Pastries on the first and last day were a nice touch On 2 of 4 days, there was no hot water, meaning cold showers....one time may be a one-off, but would've thought they would fix it after we already informed them the first time Self-Check in instructions need updating, unclear instructions meant we returned the communal key for the front gate when turns out we needed it to gain access to the apartment. We thought we were locked behind the gate which caused a bit of a panic. They were not very apologetic when we informed them Ironing facilities are locked away on the top floor, there are no signs that this is where they were, we searched high and low for an iron and eventually found it locked away (with no key). When we messaged to ask for access, they said it was too late that evening so we assumed the cupboard would be open in the morning...in the morning (10 am), it was still locked away and took hours to get a response when we asked for access. We didn't hang around waiting! After 4 days, we were still using the same towels. Would've been good to have the offer of fresh towels

Parking was a bit of a difficulty, especially in August. Suggest to book it im advance - Matteo, the staff, is lovely and can help you through it all.

• Lisa (8/5): Self-catering in good location - Matteo was very helpful via WhatsApp on providing directions and information like a car service when needed. He always responded quickly and professionally. I would have liked to have met him in person. The room was very large and was in a great central location. This is more like an apartment than a B&B. It's fully self-catering from check in to check out which I did not understand when I booked it. I was disappointed that after a 3 day stay there were no fresh towels offered. Room Aretusa is getting a little worn. The couch has stains and in need of a refresh. Breakfast never arrived the first day. Matteo made sure it came the second day and apologized, but I had to text at 10AM the first day and ask where it was. Getting here is challenging.

• Petra (10/5): Tolle Wohnung, zentral und sehr schön - Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles sehr sauber. Der Eigentümer sehr bemüht. Tolle Lage Super zentral. Mit dem Auto nicht bis zur Wohnung fahren. Straßen sind zu eng. Man kann sehr gut auf dem Parkplatz Talete parken. Mit der App easy Park zahlen und gut zu Fuß zur Unterkunft laufen!
• Lisa Maria (6/5): - Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend - besser geht es nicht. Zum Ausladen kann man in die Nähe der Unterkunft fahren. Danach muss das Auto auf einen zentralen Parkplatz. An einem Morgen wurden wir mit Gebäck überrascht, das war sehr nett. Das Zimmer ist unfassbar dunkel, durch das Fenster scheint gar kein Licht rein und auch keine frische Luft. Dadurch hat es im Zimmer gestunken, was man mit einem Duftstecker übertünchen wollte. Außerdem war es etwas dreckig. Die Handtücher wurden während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht gewechselt und der Müll nicht einmal geleert.

Matteo was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There was a bit of a smell in the room and we found it unfortunate that there was no cleaning of the room throughout our three night stay.

• Marilyn (10/5): The stay was perfect and close to every where we needed to go and see. - We loved Every thing. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I and it was very spacious. We stayed in the Aretusa room. It was very clean and smelled nice. The room was tastefully decorated, it was so cute and comfortable! The host Matteo was fantastic, even though we communicated through Whats App it was perfectly fine. He always replied back and gave us some good advice on where to go. Anything you needed he was always available which kept me stress free being in a place I’ve never been to. They gave us a small Sicilian breakfast the next morning as a welcome gift that we appreciated so much and even let us check out an hour later (which was well needed!) We loved that the room had a Nespresso machine with pods and also a mini fridge! I would definitely stay here again The only small dislike was that it was a tad confusing to find when we got there. Would’ve been good if maybe someone can meet you for a few minutes when you first arrive. Also, you need to be careful walking up and down the stairs to the room. Beautiful to look at but just go slow. Thankfully there are lights if needed!

• ISABELLA (9/5): Una casa del mar per i colori ma ripida come una montagna per tutti i gradini - Per chi nn deve muoversi troppo è perfetta nel centro di Ortigia per noi in moto abbiamo dovuto trovate un parcheggio lì vicino oltreché non è compresa la colazione per cui location bellissima ma nn economica e pratica La stanza è perfetta silenziosa e con letti comodissimi ma viaggiando in moto avrei scelto altro

The rooftop terrace is a great outdoor space and Matteo was an excellent host, always responsive and very helpful. Felt safe and secure there and is in an excellent location. Not a negative but something to be aware of - once through the gate and courtyard, there's a beautiful but old and uneven stairway to the property. Also, room Atena is dark and only has a small window (difficult to access too) with a tiled roof in front of it. The room is kept cool because of this but I would personally have preferred light.

• Emily (10/5): - The accommodation is in a great location with a short walk to the beach and plenty of food options around. The room was spacious and very clean. We had the rooftop area to ourselves and it was a great space to watch the sunset. Mateo the host was very helpful throughout our stay.
• Francesco (8/5): - Posizione centrale e arredamento moderno. Tranquillità della strada e parcheggio privato a 50 mt. Prezzo alto rispetto ai servizi offerti, anche la tassa di soggiorno non è inclusa. Mattonelle del bagno e wc sporchi, assenza di bagnoschiuma in dotazione (c'erano i dispenser completamente vuoti). Non viene effettuata la pulizia quotidiana della camera e non viene fornito l'occorrente per pulirla da soli. La casa è perfetta per gli amanti degli animali. Di sera c'era un gatto nero che tentava di entrare in camera dal balcone e si sedeva sopra le sedie, forse qualche ospite precedente gli aveva dato da mangiare. Essendo allergica non ho potuto dormire con il balcone aperto ne stendere il costume o il telo da mare ad asciugare fuori.
