- Nigel (9/5): A very good place to stay for a night. - Had wondered whether the neighbouring railway/underground line would be intrusive but it wasn't. It would have been helpful to have had a couple of deeper cereal bowls.
- Mary (9/5): Convenient and comfortable, friendly host - Good location within walking distance of Amersham High Street. Very quiet. Friendly host and easy check in/key collection - host met me with the key.
- Amir Humza (8/5): Nice backgarden annexe friendly hosts good size clean and comfortable thanks guys - Great place to stay clean and comfortable and good size Not much was a great stay
- Farnoosh (9/5): -
- Duncan (7/5): -
- Anne (4/5): Could be so much better easily. - Great location.
Good fitted kitchen
Comfy bed.
This could be the perfect location if some improvements were made. Filthy bathroom.
Toilet dirty
Bath mats need to be thrown away. Filthy!!!
The sofa bed should have a throw on it plus some cushions.
- robert (5/5): Adequate for my requirements but in need of a refurbishment - Location Not great facilities, a bit rundown
- Marcus (7/5): It was ok - Comfort bed,
Plenty of space.
Perfect location for my meeting this morning.’
Clean The lock on the door, walked to local Shop and could not reopen door!!!
Cold bathroom, could not work out how to turn the heaters down,
The jar of coffee was both decaf and dryers solid.
Some coffee and milk would seem appropriate given the price,
- Kevin (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and a very pleasant owner The pathway to the property could do with upgrading and perhaps a grab rail in the shower
- Andy (9/5): - Location, calm, hassle-free, good value for money The place with a little maintenance and investment could be really magical
- Sam (3/5): Overpriced, In need of a refurb - You walk through the owners garden to get to the property which is tired and pretty scruffy, there was an old towel hanging on the fence outside the entrance door, on entering the property it was cold as heating hadn’t been put on, the property smells damp and could do with a good clean and a lick of paint. The bed in lounge acting as a sofa is very uncomfortable with no back. The garden on return was Very dark.
- suzanne (10/5): lovely appartment with all of the facilities you need for a comfy stay. station only 15mins walk. -
- Anthony (10/5): Quiet, cozy and well equipped - Garden location off of the main road
Quiet
- Nick (9/5): My stay was comfortable, private and peaceful. I’d go back anytime. - The location was great, between Old Amersham and Amersham on the Hill.
Go I was really friendly and thoughtful - concerned for my welfare with the heatwave, but the house was actually really cool.
Very tidy and clean, with an excellent shower, and wifi. No, I was happy.
- Wright (8/5): - Over all ok if more than a couple stayed there is only 1 toilet. Would be more comfortable with settee or two comfortable chairs That there was no comfortable sitting area to watch tv
- Helen (8/5): -
- Antonio Manuel (7/5): -
- Neil (10/5): Fantastic - Excellent
- Sue (9/5): A good property in a good location for the purpose of our visit. - The property was comfortable for three adults. It was well equipped and clean and an easy walk into Amersham centre. The owners were very helpful, checking we could operate the heating and responding promptly to a couple of queries.
- Rae (5/5): Our stay in Chesham - The accommodation was spacious, and with its hard floor, it was perfect for dog owners. It was clean and the kitchen and bathroom were modern and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, with additional duvet and pillows that could be used.
There is a train line running alongside the garden and accommodation. This was surprisingly quiet and didn't actually disturb us at all. Just some veedback for future consideration, we didnt like having to walk down through the garden in the evening to the chalet, as it was quite difficult because there was no lighting until you got to the patio, where a motion sensor turned an outside light on. There were no bedside tables, so for someone who wears glasses, i found there wasn't anywhere to safely put them apart from on the floor which was a bit dodgy...i really didn't want to stand on them! The sofa bed had no back bolster or cushions, so it was really difficult for us to sit back and relax or watch the television.
- Sara Phillips (8/5): All the basics done well - Fantastic shower, comfortable beds and convenient location. Exactly what we needed.
- June (5/5): We just slept there, there was nothing to entice us to stay longer. - Convenient location and inexpensive Nothing to sit on other than the sofa bed, no lighting outside. Gardens of adjoining property were scruffy. No sign to indicate where the accommodation was.
- Malcolm (8/5): Suited me perfectly for a short stay - Great to have a full kitchen Inconvenient for my friend that the loo was in my en suite. A chair in the main room would have been useful.
- martin (9/5): -
- Paul (6/5): -
- Ken (10/5): Private space away from the house, loads of room, bring your own pillow - Great location, loads of space and facilities away from the house so you get privacy. I would bring my own pillows, quite cheap and spongy
- Simon (8/5): -
- Robert (7/5): -
- Veronica (10/5): -
- Lucie (10/5): Great location, perfect stay - Everything.. nice tagged away garden, fantastic family, very friendly people, great communication Everything was great, could do with a little bit more seating but other than that, all perfect..
- Michael (9/5): Perfect for short stay - Cheap and cheerful Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): - Just used for a 1 night stay. Had all the necessary facilities and was comfortable. Great communication from the owner and met onsite by the owner to give us the keys
- Ruth (10/5): Highly recommend this - The host. We read other reviews and thought surely no one can be that agreeable... But he was...
The location was perfect for us lots near by to do . And so peaceful at the end of the garden, tucked away.
The cleanness. That we hadn't booked for longer.
- Zoe (9/5): Great place to stay - Privacy, space, super hot shower, comfortable beds A comfortable chair in the lounge would have been nice, there was just a bed settee
- Raymond (6/5): The place itself was fine, the proprietors were friendly. There was no table or chairs to sit - There was no Chiltern Nurseries. Spent three quarter of an hour looking for the place, no street number. Chiltern Nurseries does not exist. Just a name dreamt up. No such place as Chiltern Nurseries and no street number given
The accommodation was next to the railway line and would have kept you awake
We were lucky there were no train due to work on the rail line
- Anne (8/5): Very enjoyable. Nice family. - Location It was good.
- Ricky (10/5): - Cracking little place
- Michelle (7/5): We stayed for two nights and was a twenty minute walk to the station, the area was lovely and host was friendly. - The privacy it was far enough from the house that it was private The kitchen could have been better equipped, the bed needed fixing as every time you moved it made an awful sound.
It could have been cleaner especially the bathroom and the shower needed mending.
- Miller (8/5): Very good -
- Johanna (10/5): Well located, well equipped, self catering accommodation. Welcoming hosts. - The location is excellent. About 10 mins walk to Amersham High Street. Hosts welcoming and have been very accommodating re: arrival times.
The accommodation is quiet, peaceful and private.
It is the third time we have stayed here and is our preferred place to stay.
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable, the cottage had everything you need in the kitchen. Bed comfortable, grandaughter slept well in the day bed. The garden was private, no road noise and very little train noise. Very clean. Would highly recommend. We have rebooked to stay again in a few months. Host always responded promptly to messages and friendly nil
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieran (8/5): Very good - Location Na
- Joe (4/5): At the lower end of the spectrum. - I have to say that I didn't enjoy my stay here at all. You negotiate a garden, which is something of a pig sty to access the outbuilding at the rear of the garden. The lock was sticky and I almost gave up trying to gain access when I managed to get the door open. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and no subdued lighting in the evening so lights are either on and superbright or off. It just wasn't a comfortable or relaxing place to stay.
- Christopher (8/5): Great stay thank you - Really nice host Cleaner floor
- Izabela (10/5): I would certainly recommend and stay there again. - Excellent flat, very clean, with all mod cons.
- Blokefromuk (9/5): Superb - The lodge was warm and has all the facilities you'd need for a short break, the hosts were friendly and helpful.
Ideal location to explore Amersham by foot or car Would have preferred a sofa instead of sofabed in living area
- Anomas (9/5): Superb - Lovely garden cabin. All very clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely shower room. Good wi fi. Great TV with all the channels. Everything was good.
- Umbar (8/5): Very good -
- Roy (7/5): Good -
- Johanna (9/5): Another excellent stay at this property. - Weather was cold and additional heater was provided which was very thoughtful.
- Emma (3/5): Disappointing. Cold. - Clean but scruffy and COLD. Heating left off no extra blankets. Garden untidy, not a good look.
- Renya (8/5): Cosy and private stay in Amersham, a little chilly in the winter. - Really great location, very cozy and comfy un a nice and private garden. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Could do to have a couple chairs to go with the table but we sat at thw sofa bed for dinner
- Jane (7/5): We loved the area, and would like to return - Location walking distance from train and the beautiful old town Amersham We are sure it will be more appealing once their house and garden renovations are completed
- Amy (5/5): Ok for what we needed. - Location good for where we needed. Close to train access if needed. Easy to get to. Could benefit from a sign though as easily drive past. Dusty and unclean. Inside front door filthy, sink filthy, dusty (set my allergies off) under bed in bedroom was someone’s dirty sock! Cold on arrival would be nice to have heating on for arrivals in cold temperature. Pull out bed in living area shabby and slats missing. Bed sheets for living room dirty and marked and Need replacing as look old. No lighting walking down to accommodation. Attention to detail not there. Was ok as was just a night but if I had paid for more I’d be very disappointed.
- Ben (10/5): Great - Great location. Lovely host. Close to train station but no disturbance from trains
- Marc (7/5): Good Find. - It is nice to see local people offering accommodation as i prefer to give money to community people rather than conglomerates. And for this reason alone, it was a pleasure to stay at this place.
Host was friendly and parking ample, would be happy to stay again. Property could have been preheated prior to arrival, as was pretty cold on entry.
Bedside tables and a bedside lamp would be a plus.
On a safety note, there really should be smoke alarms fitted and fire blanket or extinguisher.
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Privacy No lights at night leading to accommodation
- Ben (10/5): Excellent - very happy about it! - Superb and nicely out the way with very communicative host and great parking! The space!!
- Johanna (8/5): Well equipped chalet in peaceful, central location. - Great location. Only 15 mins walk from town centre. The chalet is at the back of the garden, so very private and peaceful. Friendly and welcoming host. Excellent facilities.
- Mandy (8/5): Very good - Perfectly equipped,
Clean,
Convenient location Nothing
- Jamie-leigh (7/5): Lovely little annex - Easy, very easy check in, we arrived late so super accommodating. I love the fact it’s away from the house right at the back of garden. Two separate room that’s comprised of a bedroom, kitchen and lounge area with a separate toilet and shower. The place could do with a good clean, although the bedding smelt really nice and so did the towels. The place in general felt unclean, bits on the floor, and could do with an extra touch of maybe some tea/coffee or water to drink. Extra touches mean everything.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Dean (9/5): Superb -

- Christoph (7/5): Good - The flat is a very pleasant garden house. The photos correspond to reality. Close to the train station, which is also a tube station to London. There was no high table in the flat where I could have eaten or worked on my laptop! There was also not a single chair! I was promised in the first few days that a table would be provided, but unfortunately it never materialised (according to the landlord however it had been ordered…). When discussing this issue, the landlord said - and he was right - that he had not indicated in the description and photos that there was a table and chairs. But who would think that there could be a holiday flat without a table and chairs - which is a minimum!
The furnishings are okay in many respects, but there is a lot missing from the kitchen equipment: , salad bowl, teapot, scissors, corkscrew, bottle opener, can opener....In order to be able to cook correctly, the range would have to be significantly improved. A mirror above the sink and in the bedroom (the landlord says this is in progress) would also be appropriate.
A garden table and a deckchair could enhance the terrace.
It didn't bother me much, but if you are very sensitive to noise, you should know that the trains / underground trains pass by the house at a relatively short distance. (Check a map to be on the safe side).
- Laurence (7/5): Good -
- Barker (9/5): excellent in every way - all good Chatted with Govi about a few tweaks Like TV and a mirror in the bedroom but he s only been doping this fpr 2 weeks so all new to him too tv in lounge mirror in bedroom
- Solomon (10/5): Exceptional get-away in town, close to amenities and with the ability to escape modernity. - The hosts were amazing! Not to mention that the property is a garden flat in the middle of Amersham, you felt like you were in the back of beyond. Secluded from any of the trappings and clap-trap of modern town life, it was sublime. The weather. Not the property hosts' fault, though.
