• Keith (4/5): Enjoyable with regards to position but very lacking as an apartment. - The location was fine and the proximity to the beach very good. The communal pool was nice and was not ever overcrowded. The whole complex was peaceful and there was never any late night noise at all. Overall the apartment was well placed for nice walks to Cambrils or Salou and had easy bus access to places like Tarragona. This was a privately owned apartment in a large residential block and therefore the only communication was with the owner as there was no reception or on site personnel. The owner was very nice although did not speak much English which proved a little difficult at times however when we did have a problem with the roller shutters he got the issue sorted the same day. The facilities in the apartment were lacking as there was no kettle no cups only a few small tumblers for glasses no large knives for cutting bread etc and the utensils really need replacing. There was also a continual pungent smell from the bathroom and so we had to buy toilet cleaner and air freshener. The bathroom had been refurbished nicely but the rest of the apartment really needs a full overhaul especially the kitchen area. There were only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel which we had to use for the full 11 days and obviously no cleaning was provided even though we were charged 96 euros. There were no complimentary toiletries as described and the coffee machine was just the small metal pot that needed putting on the hotplate. The hotplate itself had no numbers on the dials to show what level it was at so we just had to guess. The sofa bed in the lounge area was difficult to sit on and only had a mattress protector on show to sit on. The remaining furniture was also in need of replacement although the balcony table and chairs were fine. I believe the owner may be in the process of doing more work as this apartment really needs updating to improve it's appeal. It would be quite hard to accommodate 4 people even though it is advertised as suitable. Overall it didn't spoil our stay but it was generally a little disappointing as accommodation goes.
