• Leanne (10/5): Alberto is a gentleman and the apartment was lovely and comfortable - It was really good and very clean
• Markéta (5/5): - Komplex je na skvělém místě, dost parkovacích míst, krásný výhled, pěkná zahrada. Bohužel byla zavřena resturace i obchod. Jinak v celém komplexu je opravdu hodně rostlin i různých vodních fontánek a to nejen venku, ale i vevnitř. Vybavení pokoje by sneslo více péče, ale na přespání to stačí. Bylo třeba rozbité světlo v ložnici, vypadávala klika v ložnici, fén při zapnutí se rychle přehřál a smrděl. Po ukončení jsme po sobě museli vynést odpadky, s tímto jsem se setkala poprvé.

• Lyn (4/5): Disappointed I didn't get the apartment I had booked as I book it for a reason - Very poor communication. Had booked this as it was on a low floor and large balcony as 1 person has mobility issues but put in a different apartment. Unable to get the one I had booked. No sink plug or basin to wash dishes. Dirty sponge left. Doors broken on cupboard at the washing machine and alot of damage that had just been patched up.
• Evangelina (10/5): Estuvimos muy agusto junto a mi perrito - Todo, ubicación, comodidad, la piscina, el anfitrión muy amable. Y, sobretodo el poder disfrutar con nuestro perro un lugar ideal para alojarse con mascotas. La limpieza era justa, necesita unos retoques como la ducha,no va bien, la cortina de ducha súper oscura e incómoda, y el aire acondicionado de la habitación no funcionaba.

• Loren (8/5): Location excellent, fabulous views, replace sofa bed ! - The apartment was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. The location is fabulous and the views amazing . The resort was perfect and pools and gardens lovely. We had a few teething problems and the apartment manager was very prompt in trying to sort and appeared in person almost immediately despite not being “ onsite “ We were 3 family members including my mother 90 yrs old. The sofa bed was broken beyond repair ( verified by manager) and unsuitable for my mother and also could only be used as a single bed . My mother had the double bed and one of us had to move out to another location. Hopefully the sofa bed has been replaced.

• Peter (6/5): Tired and dated - This accommodation is best suited to a family, not couple of Solo traveller, It has many facilities, like Pool, Gym & tropical garden, but the property is too large, hundreds of rooms and floors. Banal Beach was once a very good but now a little dated , sheer size is off putting

• Heather (7/5): Benal Beach Block 1 - Loved the view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. Ample wardrobe space. Comfortable sofa. Still a broken safe, which was disappointing. Only 1 wine glass, and 2 larger glasses. Quality of one towel very bad, and 2 single sheets for a double bed. However the room was very quiet and private.

• Celine (1/5): 0 stars, not clean or liveable - Location but not worth the conditions When we arrived the host was lovely, brought us to our accommodation from hotel reception to the apartment complex. After the host left we opened all the curtains, which were all closed and it was dark inside. The place was so run down and dirty. Light fixtures not working, kitchen filthy with stains all down the doors of the presses, on the floor and the fridge. There was leftover dirty bed laundry left beside the sofa bed. the floors were dirty the walls had stains everywhere, there was a smell of dampness and mould, the sliding door from the bedroom onto the balcony was held together by brown packaging tape. the a/c was filled with dirt and dust would be harmful to use with the dust build up inside and on the outside. the bathroom toilet seat was dirty and so was the inside bowl, the bath was scuffed and dirt built up in the scuffed. The bedding was dirty with red blood like stains and and also another part had brown lumpy residue. We contacted the host straight away. The host returned and tried to gain entry with their own key with no knock. We had previously locked the door for security when we first entered. The host banged down the door so aggressively. We opened the door and the host immediately became so abrupt and aggressive. The host kept saying the apartment is here years and it has been years here. My partner and I were very calm and polite and tried to talk to the host but couldn't as the host was very agitated and grabbed the dish wash soap and dish wash sponge and went to the bathroom and tried to wash down the dirt with something for the dishes and kitchen. Whilst this was going on I was on the phone to a customer service agent from booking.com. I was very uneasy as I was being shouted at by host whilst on the phone because the host was not taking any responsibility of the uncleanliness and the whole apartment not being liveable. The host was on the phone the whole time talking in Spanish.

• Alana (7/5): Good - The location was ideal. It was comfortable and just what we needed. Loved the balcony and the view. The apartment complex was very safe and had lots of facilities. Alberto was nice but there was definitely a language barrier. The air conditioning didn’t work. The shower wasn’t clean. Only 2 towels supplied for the week stay. There was no where to hold on luggage, we used Bounce to sort out this issue and our luggage was held securely in a local shop for our last day.

Had to give the kettle a good clean, and a few other areas. Fridge needs defrosting. Very old small TV But I appreciate cleaning staff only get limited time.
• Mia (2/5): Very poor - We love the location and has stayed many times at BenalBeach. The apartment had a balcony with morning sun and beautiful sea view. The problem was the smell in the apartment probably arising from moisture/mold in the bathroom or from the drains. This is the first time ever that we had this problem att BenalBeach. The kitchen worked well but there was only one wine glass, the kitchen equipment need to be complemente. :-)

• Tarja (6/5): Just for a short stay - Parking at resort area. Although a big resort, nicely situated. View from balcony. Quite spacy apartment. Beds ok. Bath. WiFi. The address in B-com lead us backside of the resort (choose to go straight to resort maingate& drive in). The keyholder was nice but we had language problems (english&spanish). General maitenance and cleaning not well done (hairs, dust etc on the floors). Recommendation to take better care of apartment (wash dishes properly, check the lamps, toaster broken, kettle,..)! Strange to get strict rules by message and pay 50€ cash as guarantee (got it of course back) for this kind of apartment. (BenalBeach complex seems to have very different apartments.)

• Anthony (3/5): Not up to standard for a holiday let. - The apartment location was very good (front line to the sea) and the resort was excellent. The wifi was superfast and the air con and tv were good, as was the hot water and the fridge freezer and hob. The two hosts barely spoke a word of English between them but still managed to demand €50 cash deposit (which was never mentioned by the booking agents). The fixed unit lights in both the main entrance and bedroom didn't work, and 1 of the 3 spotlights in the kitchen was broken. One plug didn't work in the lounge, and another was unsafe. On the bed (which in fairness was comfortable enough) there was a fitted sheet, a pillow with no pillowcase and just a solitary sheet on top. The only other bedding in the apartment was another pillow also with no pillowcase and another sheet - no duvet or blankets to be found anywhere. There were no pots and pans or tea towels. The shower fixture was loose, and the bathroom was worn and in need of an update. And I got bitten by something which is a first and hopefully the last time.
• Tisbury (7/5): Great location. - The apartment was a good size - the decor a little tired. The swimming pool area was great, including the size of the pools. The location was central. The lack of information on the local area and facilities of benal beach appts and the role of reception. We did not use reception once. Everything felt disconnected. I tried to book a taxi directly (linked to Benal Beach appts),for my departure to the train station via what's app and they didn't even respond to confirm the booking, even when prompted! It's a shame that reception wasn't more involved in our stay. It could've made things a lot easier.
• Craig (7/5): Lovely place for a family holiday. - Beautiful location that overlooks the sea. Apartments are a good size and everything you need. The pools are great with some fast slides and life guards that ensure everyones safety. Lots of space around the pools so you don’t feel on top of each other. Grounds are very clean and tidy. Quite a steep hill up to the property and quite a walk to and from the pool for some apartments.

• Anonymous (3/5): The apartment is clearly not in good condition and really needs a refurbishment - it’s an apartment in a complex beside the beach. lots. The apartment was not clean, cobwebs all over the place. kitchen unit doors covered in old cooking oil grease stains, lack of basic kitchen equipment. Mattresses like concrete with old pillows and old bed sheets and covers. sink in bathroom very loose.
• James (7/5): Great stay and excellent value for money. - Location is perfect; the complex is opposite the beach and surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops. Noise also wasn't too bad given this. It is also easy to get to from Malaga airport: short train and then 20 min walk or you can get a bus with probably a closer stop. Room was a bit dated and worn in places as well as in need of dusting. As the photos on booking.com don't match the apartment I was in (Block 1, Room 605) then I assume that each apartment will be individual so bear this in mind when reading the reviews. Checking-in was a bit confusing as I'm used to hotels rather than apartments. A few notes below to help my fellow travellers... - After you have booked, you will receive the phone number of the apartment manager who you'll need to phone 20 mins prior to your arrival to meet you in the reception. - Depending on your phone, dialling the international number may result in a message that the number is not yet in service. Instead, dial the number without the international prefix and your phone may prompt if you want a UK or Spanish number - Alternatively, messages sent by the booking.com site were answered promptly (within 10 minutes) and they can get in touch with the manager. - The complex is gated so you cannot just walk through to the reception. Instead, you need to approach the main entrance to the complex (which is at the back of the property, opposite the park) and use the intercom to say that 'you are here for a tourist flat' - The reception is easy to find from the main entrance but if you get in through the beach entrance, follow the path to the right to the main building at the top. This entrance is opposite the supermarket in the building. Turn right and walk along to the lifts and take them to Floor 2 which will bring you out at the main reception. I'll upload some photos to show the two entrances. - You'll meet the apartment manager at the reception (mine was Jose or maybe Mr Jose). He's a nice man although limited English (better than my Spanish though) who will show you to the apartment. You'll need 50 euros in cash as a deposit against breakages, etc.
