Guest Reviews
- Ulf (10/5): Wonderful little cottage - Very cute cottage, easy contact with host. The chimney is priceless :-) .

- Clint (10/5): A piece of Highlands Heaven - Staying near Loch Ness felt magical from the second we arrived — but the log burner is what made it unforgettable. After days exploring the Highlands, coming back to that warm glow, the sound of the fire crackling, and the smell of burning wood was pure luxury. It wasn’t just cosy — it was cinematic.
The setting was breathtaking. Mist rolling over Loch Ness in the morning, dramatic skies at sunset, total stillness at night — it felt like we had stepped into another world. You don’t just visit somewhere like this, you feel it.
The cottage managed to be both wild and indulgent at the same time — rugged Scottish scenery outside, roaring fire and total comfort inside. It was romantic, peaceful, and genuinely restorative.
It didn’t feel like a break.
It felt like an experience you talk about for years. Not one thing superb!!
- Richard (10/5): A perfect cottage for a couple -

- Theresa (10/5): Gemütliches Cottage, super Lage für Ausflüge rund um Loch Ness - Ausstattung, Stil, Gemütlichkeit
- MAUREEN (10/5): - Everything No complaints
- Marta (9/5): Lovely details - Beautifully decorated. All you could need is there. The fireplace is amazing. Everything you need to know is written down, thank you! We are sure we will be back. A bit cold and humid. However there are enough warm blankets around. Loud in the morning because of the main street. So make sure you bring earplugs, then you will be fine.

- Kelly (10/5): Cosy, modern and perfect - It felt so cosy and homely but was also big enough to not feel as though you had no space to put anything.

- Anthony (10/5): Cute, well appointed comfortable cottage in great location - Location, cuteness, layout, facilities. Exceptional. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): Cosy, wholesome and great location - We loved everything. It has been done so well and you can tell the layout and design has been well thought through The only thing we weren’t that keen on was the parking as the space is on a road and we were a bit worried about people driving past as it was a rental car but there were no issues with that and even a lorry got through ok
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melany (10/5): Perfect get away! - The location, scenery, cleanliness, cozy. There really wasn't anything we didn't like! Perfect get away! Literally nothing!

- Suzie (10/5): A lovely, cosy cottage in the Highlands! - We spent 4 nights at Crossroads Cottage and loved our stay. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, speedy WiFi, plenty of games and lots of other wee touches.
We loved how close the cottage was to nearby walks, including ‘The Cover’ which our dog loved, and just a very short walk to local pubs etc. Our favourite was the beer garden at Fiddlers! A small garden would have been a great addition and handy in the evenings / overnight for doggies.
- Richard (10/5): Absolutely lovely little gem - An excellent property cannot fault the property or the owner. It was an excellent holiday cottage. We will definitely stay again Nothing to not like perfect

- John (10/5): Crossroads Cottage - Very clean and well stocked with essential items. Very peaceful atmosphere. Little expensive, but well worth it, this was our second visit there whilst attending music festival at Belladrum
- Ioana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - Clean and cosy. Well equipped, able to walk to the village. Noise from busy main road through the village.
Beware of low ceiling near front window in bedroom when walking across the room in the dark - had a really nasty bump to my head.
Toilet downstairs.
- Charles (10/5): We enjoyed a short, much needed break and Crossroads Cottage was perfect for our needs. - Crossroads cottage is a beautiful little cottage for two.
It is maintained to a very high standard and has everything you need for a short break.
It is immaculately clean and is a credit to thew owners. Nothing!
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely location and beautiful cottage, perfect stop for the end of my holiday. - Lock box located at the doorway, information provided in advanced. All easy and straightforward.
- Mandy (10/5): Beautiful bijou cottage - Wonderful cottage, beautifully furnished with everything you needed.
I loved the colour scheme.
I wished we could have stayed longer.
The bedroom was in the attic space of this cute cottage and was tastefully furnished in lovely colours. The bed was really comfy.
We returned home after a day away and had no power,
A quick phone call and we got a lovely man explaining that the whole area was affected due to a thunder storm.
It was reassuring to get a response so quickly. The bathroom was tiny, and you had to stand in front of the door to get dry and dressed. The door had a small frosted glass panel, so it felt a bit weird, (especially as the bathroom was directly in the living room). Maybe put a hook above the panel so you could hang your clothes or a towel.
I didnt think 2 bath towels was adequate for 2 people for 3 nights, and there wasnt a towel rail large enough to dry the towels so we could re use them.
Small points as I would definitely use this cottage again.
- Sam (4/5): Disappointing - Location was great. Very small. Not suitable for older couples with mobility problems.
Car parking was advertised but not suitable. It was sold to us that the pub across the road could be used to park the car but when we tried the Manager told us he had no such arrangement and that the cottage had no right to offer his hotel as a parking alternative for the cottage. This created a huge problem for us as we would not have hired the cottage had we known this as we have health issues that require on-site parking (which is what was advertised).
The main lounge area and in fact the whole downstairs area was cold and we either had to spend all the time upstairs or downstairs wrapped in blankets. The heating was set and non adjustable.
We had to remove shoes before stepping into the bedroom upstairs which meant that we had to go up and down shiny narrow stairs in our socks. Very dangerous especially for older people.
In the end we terminated the rental early and found alternative accommodation. This was just not a safe space for us.
The worse part was that nothing in the advertised literature indicated any of this and only the most conducive photographs were taken.
- Tracey (8/5): Very good - Had everything we needed The stairs were very slidy. Ok for younger couples but not our age. The parking was a bit small
- Jackie (10/5): Little bit of Highlands Heaven! - What a stunning bit of Highlands heaven! Fab location and stunning cottage.
- Tom (8/5): Perfect base for exploring the highlands - Very cosy, really comfy bed, great location The extractor fan above the hob didn’t work
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Katharine (10/5): we had a lovely stay here - pretty little cottage
