Guest Reviews
- Timothy (4/5): The property has great potential - it is just not ready yet! Owner is very responsive - Good. - The Location was in the proximity we needed and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable.
Parking is good with on-site and street parking. We were expecting a clean, well-maintained home, especially with a toddler in tow, but the place was quite shabby. There were tools left on the floor, a broken light bulb in the lamp, open seafood paste in the cupboards, and mouldy coffee jars. It definitely didn’t feel comfortable for us.
The house is advertised as a 4- or 5-bedroom property, but we found there were only 3 rooms, which was a bit misleading. We also expected the kitchen to be fully equipped for at least 6 people, but it wasn’t. We had to go out on Christmas Eve to buy extra knives, forks, cups, side plates, and glasses. We also couldn’t find any serving or casserole dishes, so making our Christmas Eve dinner was quite difficult.
On top of that, the carpets hadn’t been vacuumed, and the toilets weren’t clean. The downstairs toilet had urine stains under the seat. There were also only a bread knife and steak knife in the kitchen, and no carving knives. When you're paying over £200 a night, you expect a much higher standard.
Having to buy extra dishes and cutlery the evening before Christmas wasn’t what we had in mind, and honestly, it left us feeling frustrated and upset. I’ve attached some photos to show you what we found.

- Janice (5/5): In need of an overhaul - The property was large with enough room for everyone. The living room is small and would not accommodate 10 people. The property was a bit shabby. The garden was overgrown and there were broken fence panels and rubbish. There was no garden furniture part from a broken washing machine.
- Daljit (7/5): - The host was very accommodating and came to the property to deal with some issues. Some areas need a little TLC and looked a little shabby in parts.
- Guest (9/5): -
- Helen (8/5): A nice stay - Lots of space. 2 bathrooms and extra toilet.
Quiet area with supermarket etc nearby.
Parking for 2 cars in drive. Excellent value for money. All pillows and duvets are feather- this was an issue for 1 of our group who is allergic.
Some bits a little shabby & and the living room a bit basic but overall it's nice for a group of friends or larger family.
