Guest Reviews
- Marie (10/5): - House was very clean comfortable and homely.
The welcome snacks, milk, bread and butter were greatly appreciated.
Would highly recommend. We arrived after 11 pm so maybe the name of house could be visible & an outside light.
- José Adonay (10/5): Lugar tranquilo - La tranquilidad y el trato Todo súper bien
- Samantha (10/5): Perfect cozy home to stay in not too far from Galway - Super cozy and spacious! The living room was so nice to have after our long driving days and the kitchen and nice bathtub made being out of the way feel easy. There's a Gurrane House on Google Maps that's also near Galway which was confusing and unfortunate but entirely my fault for not using the map link provided. I'm only putting it here incase others make the same mistake. We were easily able to drive into Galway and pay for parking for the day after about a 35min drive.
- Miriam (10/5): - Es war ein sehr großes komfortables Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ist zwar etwas außerhalb, aber sehr ruhig gelegen.. 😊
- Cathy (10/5): - Tout était parfait
- Aine (9/5): - Peaceful location with all the facilities we could need for an enjoyable stay
- Bridget (8/5): - The owners were friendly and helpful. The house was comfortable and well equipped. It was very conveniently placed. The facilities for preparing food were very good. Equipment and utensils were of good quality and plentiful. We had some difficulty in controlling the heating which meant that the bedrooms were too hot during the night unless we opened the windows. The bedroom doors seemed to stick and made loud squeaking sounds when we opened the doors at night. The latch on the upstairs bathroom door was very tight and required a lot of effort to open it. In fact part of the latch fell off and we left it on the box nearby.
- Tana (7/5): Nice place for car travelers but not suitable for digital nomads - The bath and having two bathrooms was lovely. Also, the size of the kitchen and how well equipped it was. We also enjoyed the space in the living room which has enough space for the yoga mat to stretch on.
The host was quick to respond and good at communicating with us. We struggled with the cold downstairs quite a bit and then heat in the bedroom (upstairs) at night. Having a central heating managed by the host is always a struggle as I hate to bother for heat changes on a regular basis.
The warm water wasn't reliant after the first person showered.
The location is definitely quite far out from anything we found interesting and worth exploring. Not near any restaurants or stores either.
Finally, if we wouldn't not have brought our satellite dish for internet, we wouldn't have been able to work from here, so just heads up to those who travel while working like us.
- Mandie (10/5): I would highly recommend staying here!! - The property owner was very friendly and accommodating. The house was spacious and had all the amenities promised. It provided me, my husband and two teenage children an insight of Irish country living. Nothing
- Lorraine (9/5): - Lovely stay very nice house with everything you need for your stay Nothing
- Derbhla (10/5): Great all round - All facilities excellent. The extras were nice touch like large TV. Milk in fridge, bread to eat.
Area is quiet for sleeping at night.
- William (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): A beautiful area. The weather was not kind to us but you don’t go in October for the weather. - The host was particularly helpful. Whilst we never met we communicated by text and provided helpful recommendations on where to eat in the area. Nothing.
- Pauric (9/5): Would certainly recommend this property - Very comfortable and a pleasure to stay there
Lots of extras that were not expected but very welcome.
The host is a lovely lady Thank you!
- Evelyn (10/5): - Lovely spacious apt Nothing
- Ganas (9/5): - Place was lovely and the host was nice. It was in a remote area and we had to drive a distance to attractions. Poor water pressure initially and hot water was minimal. See above
- Natalie (10/5): Wonderful stay traveling through Ireland - Lean and cozy
- Neil (9/5): -
- Sabrina (10/5): Pleasant stay. Very comfortable. Highly recommended. -
- Alexandra (10/5): Very comfortable and great value for money. - Very spacious and a home away from home vibe. Host Maureen went the extra mile. Quite far out of Galway but was easy to access via the bus.
- Audrey (9/5): - Tout était parfait. Merci

- Louise (9/5): Very warm and comfortable. - The home was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, clean and the little extras in the house were a nice touch. Maureen was an amazing host. We just couldn't work the oven but we used the airfryer which worked great. The heating was on timer but the house was very warm in the morning. Couldn't fault anything else.
Maureen was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay in her beautiful warm and comfortable home.
There is nothing else we can fault.
Regards
Louise
- Ann_1111 (10/5): Warm, Cozy, and Thoughtful Stay - We had a wonderful stay at this house! It felt very homey, cozy, and perfectly clean. The photos fully match reality.
All the appliances were in great working order. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking — including spices, oils, and more. Maureen thoughtfully left us some bread, milk, butter, coffee machine capsules, and cookies — such a warm and welcoming touch!
Although we were delayed on the way, Maureen kindly waited for us, which we really appreciated. Even though the house was a bit off our main route, we’re so glad we chose this place. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended! We only wish we could have stayed longer
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wojtek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudia (9/5): Nice house, in a quiet place. - Nice location, very quiet. In the middle of countryside so absolutely need a car to reach. Clean and nice.
The owner is in the near house and she kindly helped us get the key, even though the keyholder was easily detectable, The second room was a bit too small. I would suggest, if possible, to rotate the bed and put the head on the other wall as walking around it was quite difficult.
Bathroom doors were a but hard to close.
- Carlo (9/5): Superb - Kitchen fully equipped Everything was ok
- Mccoy (10/5): Snug As A Bug - Fantastic spotless apartment ( I'm a cleaner myself), comfortable homely warm. If looking to find a fault.
Heating was very hot late at night, lock on bathroom door not so good. But that's only based on looking for faults.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (6/5): Not a place I would travel to given the distance from Galway. - Good access to entry. Good parking. We had true with the lock (not knowing it was a lock box) then had trouble locking from the inside. The place was cold and we didn’t know how to put heat on. The kitchen was fully equipped but we couldn’t figure out the coffee machine. The stairs were quite steep to bedrooms. Main floor bathroom toilet took a while to flush entirely. Communication was very lacking. I thought it was breakfast included but other than 1/2 loaf of bread and a few biscuits. Wouldn’t recommend.
- Vella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hazib (10/5): "Overall, my stay was pleasant and enjoyable, with the property offering a great location and excellent amenities. - Homely environment , clean fresh and easily accessible to My working destination. I really liked the property's ideal location, which was convenient for everything I needed, as well as the range of modern amenities that made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. If I had to point out one concern about the property, it would be that it might be difficult for those who require wheelchair access, as it doesn’t have a downstairs bedroom. While the property is in a great location with excellent amenities, this could be a challenge for individuals with mobility needs.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chibuikem (10/5): It was absolutely amazing and the hosts were really accommodating and helpful - It was really cozy and I loved how neat and comfortable it was… I loved the interior of the house it was a fresh breath from the city life
- Phillip (7/5): Well equipped whole house, comfy like a home from home. - Spacious with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, comfy lounge with a big tv. Owner is very friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable despite a colouration problem with the public water supply related to the recent heavy rain and wash off from the fields. She provided us with bottled drinking water for cooking and brushing teeth. A bit more remote than we’d liked, but that was my fault for not checking on the map first.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Pedro (7/5): Good -
- Clarke (10/5): Exceptional - Maureen was a gracious hostess who was exceptionally attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the comfy living room couch and wide screen TV on a rather rainy evening.
- Rex (10/5): Highly recommended in a lovely rural location - The rural quiet location was ideal to explore the area in our Hire Car with lovely places to eat just a short drive away. The apartment was fantastic with no complaints whatsoever and the Host was amazing and very helpful. If you want a lovely place in a quiet location to relax at the end of a day exploring this is the place for you. Nothing we didn't like and this apartment was the icing on the cake for our first visit to Ireland
- Michael.rodgers5 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (7/5): Massive cosy apartment with lots of facilities - Big apartment with lots of facilities. We loved seeing the cows in the field next door from our windows. Was a lovely sight to be greeted with in the morning Would have been helpful if pictures of the property were sent to help us recognise the accommodation. Sat nav didn't take us to the property so we didn't know which one it was and we were provided with map co ordinates but these took us to a completely different place. Luckily a resident there said that happens a lot and he directed us to the correct accommodation.
- Martijn (10/5): Great apartment with everything you could need... a good base to explore the area from - Excellent apartment with everything you could need. It's actually quite big, but this was perfect for us. We were travelling together but not sharing the bedroom. There are not many options for that, but this was spot on. The shower was nice, the kitchen had extras, and my bed was comfortable. My friend said she had difficulty with the shower, but I guess that's just everyone's own preference. ..
- Gambina (10/5): Exceptional - Was amaizing experience. Really nice place so confortable and clean. I 💯 recomend !!!
- Stephen (10/5): We got there late . But everything was organised before hand . The property is at a very high standard -
- Oliver (9/5): Superb -

The apartment...was more like a house!!! Beautifully furnished....cozy and absolutely immaculate!!! To say we were impressed was an understatement!!! The host was amazing and was kind enough to leave us bread...milk ...butter...biscuits!!! Our stay was a 5***** stay and we will be back for a longer stay during the Summer!!! This property by far was cleaner than any hotel weve ever stayed in!!! Hats off to the hostess...well done That we couldnt stay longer!!!

- Bryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ecowater (8/5): Very good -
- Kieran (7/5): Good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - it was quiet and peacefull Nothing
- Kevin (7/5): Lovely duplex apartment, but requires heating on longer. - Very clean, comfortable, host had provided provisions, biscuits, cereals, bread milk. Kitchen had all amenities
Which was very thoughtful and much appreciated Heating only on for 2 hrs in the evening. Very cold in lounge area. Warmest room was bedroom. Difficult to find, rural area, Sat Nat not accepting address. Would be beneficial to have eir code.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - It was a perfect stay! We were personally welcomed and guided through the house. The house is absolutely clean, has a lot of space and is very cozy.
There was nothing missing and we had everything we needed. We would come back anytime!
- Mary (10/5): Lovely apartment, convenient to Tuam & surrounded towns. - We booked this apartment as we were attending a family funeral. I did ring the owners to let them know we would be very late checking in. It was no problem. We found our accommodation easily using the eircode. The apartment was cosy, warm , modern & spotless. The 2 bedrooms were very comfortable. Lovely kitchen with all amenities. The owner had provided the milk, tea & coffee which we were so grateful for. There is a lovely cosy sitting room & a large shower room downstairs & a fine bathroom upstairs. lt is in a lovely quiet area, also very convenient to Tuam & Milltown.. It was very comfortable, the owner is a lovely person. I wish we had more time there & we definitely will book it again. A lovely place to stay.
- Carlton (9/5): A pleasant stay. - Spacious, comfortable, well furnished. Hot water is limited to the shower only.
- Iain (9/5): A good stay on our round Ireland trip - Location is excellent if you are looking for peace and quiet it just what we were looking for No sharp kitchen knives for cooking
- Carmel (9/5): We seriously enjoyed it -
- Morwenna (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy, spacious and lovely apartment in a nice and quiet area. Welcoming lovely people. ...still thinking... !
