• desiree (9/5): posizione eccellente! - ho apprezzato moltissimo la pulizia e la camera era piccola ma perfetta per un soggiorno breve per due persone. il suo punto di forza è sicuramente la posizione vicinissima al centro e alla fermata dei bus l'unica cosa che consiglierei è quella di aggiungere più utensili alla camera per migliorare ancora di piu il soggiorno
• Jane (4/5): The accommodation did not represent value for money and the host was not particularly gracious. - The accommodation was very clean and situated in a good central location near the castello and Piazza Duomo and close to many bars and restaurants. Some of the decor, including pictures on the walls was a nice feature. The accommodation was definitely NOT a one bedroom apartment, despite being advertised as such. It comprised one long narrow room with a bathroom tacked on the end. Kitchen equipment was minimal, so cooking fresh seafood from the lively fish market nearby was definitely not feasible with only a tiny frying pan and no utensils. There was no couch or lounge area, just a small table with two chairs opposite coat hangers placed underneath the shelf which held a very small television that appeared to only have one channel working. The double bed was placed against the wall, making it cramped for a couple. It was quite noisy into the early hours of the morning, with late night revellers passing by and loud music coming from bars close by. It would also be advisable to check that the amount of city tax requested from the host corresponds with the amount stated in your confirmation from booking.com.

• Hania (2/5): Zamiast odpoczynku zagwarantowano mi szkołę przetrwania. - Lokalizacja obiektu jest świetna (blisko centrum), ale to niestety jedyny plus. W pokoju było przeraźliwie zimno, a klimatyzacja wiała wyłącznie chłodnym powietrzem. Musiałam dogrzewać się suszarką pod kołdrą, żeby w ogóle móc zasnąć. Brak informacji o przejeździe kolejowym tuż pod oknem – budynek trzęsie się przy każdym przejeździe pociągu. Dodatkowo oferta wprowadza w błąd: miał być balkon, którego w rzeczywistości nie był- zamiast tego kraty w oknach na parterze i widok na brudną ulicę. Mimo prośby o zmianę pokoju (który widniał jako dostępny w aplikacji) i chęci dopłaty, właścicielka odmówiła pomocy. W tej cenie w okolicy można znaleźć znacznie lepszy standard i ładniejszy widok. Nie polecam.

• Antonio Baronetto (6/5): Piccolo ma giusto per una notte!!! - La posizione veramente comoda Il cavo della doccia costa 5€ basta così poco per cambiarlo, senza perdere tempo con nastro adesivo che fa acqua da tutte le parti tranne nella cornetta della doccia! Scarico della doccia che scarica male!!! Tante prese alla tedesca nei piccoli elettrodomestici, ma solo un adattatore 🤷🏻‍♂️
• Weronika (10/5): - Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielką, która jest bardzo miła i pomocna. W obiekcie było czysto i był dobrze wyposażony. Niczego nam nie brakowało. Dodatkowym atutem była bliskość do atrakcji takich jak targi (ryby, owoce,warzywa i wiele innych) oraz głównych zabytków. Wiedzieliśmy o tym, że tory i przejazdy pociągów są za ulicą, ale nie był to dla nas żaden problem z zaśnięciem po całym dniu podróży.

• Akram (10/5): Great stay in Catania - The apartment was great for a couple! The location is excellent, right in the city center, two steps away from the fish market! It's clean and it has a wonderful outdoor space! Maria was great and gave us some suggestions on what to do in our trip to Catania. The shower size was a bit confusing, but we liked everything, even the loud music outside which kept playing till midnight. 🤣

• Oleg (1/5): impossible to sleep - You sleep 5 m away from a very active railroad and and outside discotheque that goes until 4am (15m away). Sleeping there is like sleeping on the dancefloor. If it is not the music, it will be the train that wakes you up. WLAN barely works.
• Lalou (7/5): - Το δωμάτιο ήταν μικρό αλλά καθαρό. Μύριζε πολύ όμορφα. Η τοποθέσια ήταν εξαιρετική, μόλις 2 λεπτά με τα πόδια από την piazza Duomo. Όταν πήγαμε το καζανάκι ήταν χαλασμένο. Επικοινωνήσαμε με την ιδιοκτήτρια και κανονίσαμε να το φτιάξει την επόμενη ημέρα. Την επόμενη ημέρα, μας ανάγκασε να βρισκόμαστε εμείς στο σπίτι για να ανοίξουμε στον υδραυλικό και να περιμένουμε εκεί όση ώρα έφτιαχνε την βλάβη.

• Angela (10/5): Perfect in every way😊 - The apartment is two minutes from the center, great location you can get to anything on foot. Even tho it’s near the railway, the isolation is good so the train wont bother you. In the apartment you have all the amenities that you need and the kitchen is fully functional with microwave, stovetop and toaster. It’s clean and comfortable and the host is so lovely and welcoming.

• Paolo (10/5): Un soggiorno tra mare, sorrisi e… Frecciarossa - La posizione è davvero strategica: praticamente a due passi dal centro e dietro la pescheria (così se non vuoi cucinare ti basta aprire la finestra e annusi il menù del giorno). La camera? Piccola sì, ma così accogliente che sembra abbracciarti appena entri, con tutto quello che serve senza fronzoli inutili. La Signora è di una gentilezza disarmante: risponde ai messaggi più velocemente di un call center con la fibra. Sul quartiere… leggevo recensioni che parlavano di pericolo. Forse confondevano la zona con Gotham City, perché io ho trovato solo persone cordiali e disponibili. Unico "dettaglio scenografico": la ferrovia è praticamente attaccata. L’effetto è che ogni treno sembra voler partecipare al soggiorno bussando alla porta. Consiglio quindi solo a chi ha il sonno pesante o ama le vibrazioni gratuite. P.S. La struttura non c’entra nulla, è proprio la geografia che ha deciso così! Sinceramente solo la ante della doccia, un pò strette.

• Patrycja (9/5): 3 nights in Catania - The room was refurbished and is centrally located next to restaurants, bars, in the heart of the city center. The aircon was working great. The value for price was amazing. You can pick up your keys without meeting the owner which is the advantage for late arrivals. Located about 20' walking from train and bus stations. The owner sent you the list of places to visit and where to eat which is great and sincere - thanks to her we were having dinner in Fisharia restaurant 3 days in a row (highly recommended). The room seems to be a bit bigger on pictures than in reality. It's located in front of 1 railway track so some trains come from time to time from early hours in the morning.

• Norbert (5/5): Central location with quite a few issues - The apartment in Catania had its highlights, but also several drawbacks worth noting. On the positive side, the location was quite good, with major landmarks within a reasonable distance. Our apartment, situated on the top floor, featured a long balcony where we enjoyed pleasant meals. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were nice as well. While there were a few restaurants in the neighborhood, larger supermarkets were a bit further away, which could be inconvenient for some guests. However, the experience was not without its challenges. Although the host was highly responsive and quick to reply, some of the information provided was only in Italian, which required additional time to translate. The narrow staircase presented a difficulty when carrying large luggage, making access somewhat cumbersome. A significant concern was the kitchen setup, which was not closable, meaning other guests could potentially enter and access our belongings. Although this did not happen during our stay, it was an unsettling prospect. The kitchen itself was minimally equipped, lacking basic items like a cheese grater (in an italian household, this was a first :D). It also took us some time to locate essentials such as the sponge or kitchen towel, which were hidden behind the trashcan. The apartment’s proximity to a railway line was less of an issue than expected, as the noise from trains was surprisingly tolerable. However, the real disturbance came from bars across the tracks, which played loud music until 5 AM EVERY NIGHT!!! While this is beyond the host’s control, it significantly impacted our nights, although using headphones made sleeping somewhat more manageable. Also the lights in the room have some light flickering even when it is turned off, so you won't have complete darkness. Some previous reviews mentioned a fish market smell in the area, but we didn’t encounter this issue, even while frequently dining on the balcony. The bathroom design was another drawback as the space between the toilet and shower cabin was uncomfortably tight. The water pressure was acceptable but not ideal, and the drainage system was particularly poor, with water accumulating in the shower tray faster than it could drain. Overall, while the apartment had some enjoyable aspects like the balcony and comfortable bed, the noise, kitchen setup, and bathroom design detracted from the experience. Future guests should carefully consider these factors before booking.
• Marzena (5/5): Fair for a 1-2 night stay, for those who are not bothered by noise at night. - The host Maria, was very kind and helpful. We did not meet in person, but the communication exchange was pleasant. The location's positive aspect is that it is just 5 minutes from the city center, cafes, restaurants, shopping possibilities, etc. The size of the apartment was fair, and most needed equipment was present (water cattle, fridge, micro, basic dishes, and pots). The available hairdryer was surely an advantage. The internet had a good connection and was working well. At first, the location was quite tricky to find, as it is a very narrow street, accessible only by walking. Sadly people use it as a toilet and garbage disposal. The downside of the central location was the noisy nights, because of the nightlife, and the nearby train track.

• Maxim (8/5): Very good - Easy to check in. Location is great - 4 minutes walk to the Duomo. Lots of good places to eat and drink. Apartment is fresh and clean. It can be noisy at times - the railway is very close, and there is also a party area. For me it was ok, but it is something to consider if you prefer to stay in a quiet area.
• Barbora (8/5): Very good - The location was perfect, easy to walk to everywhere or catch buses if required. The apartment was tastefully decorated and nice and clean. If you're a light sleeper remember to bring earplugs because it is right next to a train line and near bars/restaurants that play music until all hours. The bed was not very comfortable.

• Maggie (8/5): Cosy apartment near all the best restaurants - Fantastic location, it's right next to the busy streets with plenty of restaurants on your doorstep and a castle just down the road too. Maria is a lovely host to communicate with, she was very helpful and caring. The apartment, though small it had great facilities and a comfortable bed, everything you could need. Overall the apartment was cosy with lovely decor. The building is right next to the train tracks so there is the occasional loud rumble as the trains go by, and the apartment is long and thin so it can feel cramped for space at times, especially if you have more than 1 big suitcase. The bathroom was also quite cramped but again fully functioning, so only an issue if you're more picky. The balcony is a nice idea but it looks over the train tracks so is not exactly a scenic morning balcony view as you might imagine.
• Karine (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is centrally located with many bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes of walk. Even though it is so close to the train and restaurants, it doesn't feel too noisy once the windows / balcony door is closed. There's everything you need at the apartment for a short stay, including air conditioning. Maria is also incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place!

It's a bit too noisy due to the closeness of a few bars that are party zones and as the train passes right next to the apartment. Fortunately, there are no night trains, they start early in the morning.

The only negative thing is that there are bars close by and during the weekend there is loud music until late in the night, so if you are looking for a quiet place, this could be an issue as you can hear the music loud from inside.

• Teodora (8/5): Beautiful Catania and kind host, but no sleep - Perfect location! Everything was walking distance. You are right next to the fish market.You must go there and try everything you can! Right next to the street is a station Borsellino. Very comfortable bed. The kitchen has everything basic that you need. If you are at the last floor, you have big balcony. I'm sorry to say it, but we barley sleep at night... maybe we stayed during holidays or a more special period in february but despite the windows being closed the music from the pubs outside was awfully loud and went on until 4am. 5 nights in a row. In addition, the train passes under the balcony. But against the background of the music, I think he is not noticeable. This has nothing to do with the host and our experience in Catania, but I think it should be communicated to the guests.

• Heejin (7/5): Good location - It was very good to use alone. The tableware was adequate and the bus stop was close, so it was convenient to come from the airport and to go to the sentral. It took only 5-10 minutes to go to major tourist attractions and downtown areas. I think it'll be a little cramped for two people. There are not many improvements in the accommodation itself, but the front door sound is weak. The fish market is nearby, so it stinks when you leave the room.
