Guest Reviews
- Peak (10/5): -
- Daniyal (10/5): Great place to stay! Highly recommend - Everything was spot on Nothing
- kelly (10/5): -
- Safina (10/5): Amazing accommodation and service. - Everything was perfect, clean and spacious.
Loved the hot tub, unfortunately due to the weather we couldn’t enjoy it longer. Everything was perfect.
- Ella (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back! - Cosy cottage feel, gorgeous decoration throughout. Very clean, including the hot tub. Nothing
- Carys (10/5): - Gorgeous house, very clean and comfortable and loved the hot tub! An allocated parking space would be nice but there is unallocated parking right outside
- Adam (9/5): Croft House stay - Lovely refurbished property with oak beams in both bedrooms. Huge hot tub ,
well maintained and clean. All contact with the owners was good and efficient. Maybe a later check out time but a small gripe for an excellant property.
- Lynn (9/5): - Hot tub, log burner and beautifully decorated
- Dani (10/5): -
- Niamh (8/5): Overall we really enjoyed and we thought it was a really nice cottage. - The property was overall very tidy and private. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed using the hot tub and all of the other facilities included. We used the bedroom to left at the drop of the stairs. The mattress wasn’t incredibly comfortable it was quite stiff and the curtains didn’t block out a lot of light so we didn’t have a great sleep. As it was only for one night it wasn’t a problem but if we were staying for longer it wouldn’t have been great.
- Jack (10/5): Our stay was great , cosy and rustic yet still has all the facility’s , equipment and utensils you need they provide pre - Cosy and rustic yet still has all the modern facility’s and equipment A-bit of noise from the road but understandable and unavoidable
- Dan (10/5): It was excellent, highly recommend to anyone who wants a weekend away staff was amazing pubs nearby couldn’t ask for a be - Was perfect everything was immaculate There wasn’t anything I disliked about the property
- Kim (9/5): Amazing stay - The cottage was cosy and welcoming the fire and hot tub a bonus and garden dog friendly Only thing was needed brush and shovel and a couple more pans.
- Stuart (10/5): Very memorable and for all the right reasons - Every little detail, beautifully presented and to a very high standard Nothing
- Luke (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Lovely and just what we needed - The towel rail is too hot and too close to the shower, both myself and my partner burnt ourselves on it
- Amy (9/5): Beautiful stay couldn’t recommend more - Absolutely stunning house beautifully and comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean really couldn’t recommend the place enough. The log burner and hot tub were wonderful, the kitchen is beautiful and reasonably well equipped the whole place was wonderful. Location wise not sure how it would be if you don’t want to drive but we were happy to go use it as a base and drive to attractions. There’s definitely a shop pub and pharmacy on the doorstep. 2 minor improvements which have been mentioned in other comments, more cleaning equipment would be handy eg some kitchen roll, antibacterial spray and a dustpan and brush. Especially as the radiator in living room doesn’t work very well so we had the fire on a lot and could have done with a clean out, but wasn’t able to really.
- Joanna (9/5): Gorgeous cottage with huge hot tub near local pubs. Loved it! - Great location, lots of pubs in walking distance. Lovely big hot tub, and super comfy beds. Great communication with host. Only 1 of each item of crockery which meant putting dishwasher on after every meal which seemed a bit of a waste. Gorgeous stone flooring and stairs- but steps worn smooth and super slippy.
- Hannah (10/5): Beautiful - We absolutely loved this cottage, it was absolutely beautiful, the decor was perfect, beautifully clean in all areas. The host was very also responsive. Warm and cosy with the log burner, I would recommend to anybody. Location was around a 7 minute uber trip from Halifax, quiet and peaceful. A tv in the bedroom perhaps but not a massive issue at all
- Lauryn (10/5): Amazing will be returning - Beautiful place to stay
- steven (9/5): Beautiful cottage - Hot tub was huge. Beautiful decor, Lovely cottage in a quaint village. Could have done with some cleaning things like a broom, dust pan, hoover, that sort of thing.
If we had dropped or spilt anything it would have been quite difficult to clean up
- Charlotte (10/5): Excellent, will be back! - Top quality furnishings, comfy beds, clean and amazing outside space. The Hot tub is fantastic!
- KELLY (10/5): - We loved everything about this cottage
Lucky to have come across it Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): A Gem of a property - Everything about this property exceeded expectations. The house was decorated and furnished to a high standard. The beds we're super comfy and both bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms plus a separate toilet. Cleanliness of the house was to a high standard.
We really enjoyed the hot tub, which was huge with so many different programmes on it.
There we're lots of logs to burn on the wood burner, which was super cosy.
All in all, we had a fabulous stay, just wished we were staying longer. Easy to travel into Birmingham, where our daughter had a cheer competition.
Lovely local pub, about 20 steps from the cottage.
Great communication from the hosts.
We will definitely be booking again when we are back in the area. A hot tub manual, I think I managed to get the different modes working by pure luck and a play around with the controls.
- Kevin (10/5): Great cottage in a lovely comunity - Everything was good. Ensuite were clean and shower was excellent. Rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable..
Kitchen has everything you need and large table. The longe is again very spacious with two lovely settees. The hot tub is excellent and outside area is great. Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): Fantastic weekend. - It's so cosy and lovely. The hot tub is absolutely brilliant. Plenty available to cook with. No mop/hoover/sweeping brush available or dishwasher tablets.
Radiator in living room needs bleeding as not warming up.
- Jenna (7/5): I would stay again if the check in/out times were better!! - Code collection to access the property was pretty easy. I made contact with the host who said he would text but I got an email the day before. So check your inbox!!
The cottage is full of character and in a great location for walks, shops, pubs. The pub a few doors up is very friendly and does lovely pub grub. The cottage was presented clean and tidy with plenty of wood to burn on the fire.
The hot tub is big and was all set up for our arrival. Just a few things which would make the stay much better.
1) the check in time is too late 4-5pm so you basically waste a day waiting around. This would be much better 1-2 or 1.30-2.30
2) check out is also too early at 10am considering the check in time is late and the fact you have to get all packed up etc. 11am would be better.
The host did offer me a check in earlier and check out later option when I asked but he wanted to charged me, which I think is wrong if the property is sat empty.
Would be better changed altogether!!
3) It's very bright early on in the main bedroom and would Benifit from a better fitted blind as no curtains.
4) The host communication was a bit slow at times which was frustrating when you’re waiting around for a reply.
5) Also the Left hand side of the oven wasnt working and no instructions left to try sort it out which made cooking dinner difficult. Reported this to the host.
6) atheist hot tub is next to the road and would Benifit from some higher screening on the car park side for privacy.
- Mirriam (10/5): Beautiful cottage - The cottage was just gorgeous. We had a lovely stay and hot tub was a bonus.
Location was perfect to visit Eureka Halifax with the kids.
We will definitely come back.
- Tom (10/5): Couples getaway - Absolutely amazing owner who really went the extra mile after Booking.Com allowed the property to be double booked!
Put us in another property, free of charge with all the same amenities (hot tub) and was even kind enough to give us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a cheeseboard.
I would whole heartedly recommend this property owner as someone to book with.
