• Susan (3/5): Very disappointed and let down and 3 weeks is a long time to feel let down and disappointed - There was no breakfast The description of this apartment is inaccurate. The inside is lovely but there are no stunning sea views just a building site with the foundations and structure of a villa. There is a large pool of green rancid water full of mosquitoes and flies. After 7 o’clock at night it’s impossible to sit outside because of flies and mosquitoes. The owner refused to give any money back and told us to go elsewhere. Obviously we couldn’t. So be warned about this apartment it’s inaccurate and misleading, she didn’t inform us of these changes and spoilt our 3 week stay, I usually spend the evening on a balcony with a glass of wine and a game of cards, not this time so book at your peril. There are plenty other apartments away from this mess. Disgraceful
• Marina (10/5): Perfect vacation in perfect appartment - The apartment is great! Everything is great in it - a wonderful hospitable hostess, a private parking space next to the house (this is very rare in Corfu), a spacious apartment with two rooms and a living room, a beautiful terrace that is always in the shade, a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, a store nearby, and of course - the most important thing - the stunning Kalami beach and the White House of Durrell are nearby. I highly recommend it! Amazing vacation!
• Isabel (9/5): Wonderful location, great value, gracious host - The apartment is the perfect size with two lovely balconies, air conditioning and a stones throw from the beach and the local supermarket. Well equipped kitchen and a washing machine which was hugely helpful during our stay. Cleaning came 3 days after arrival as described. Alexandra is a communicative and very friendly, helpful host. We couldn’t have asked for more! A building’s been demolished infront of the villa, but it didn’t bother us at all. Still a lovely apartment in a beautiful location for great value, just look past the building works and enjoy the view!

• Charlotte (9/5): - I had a wonderful week staying at Alexandra's groundfloor apartment. It is 1minute back from Kalami beach and so easily accessible by foot/public transport for exploring the east coast of the island. Supermarket is very close also. The apartment had necessary kitchen appliances, air conditioning, and comfortable double bed, and I enjoyed sitting out on the little shady terrace. Alexandra also let me access the property early and was quick to communicate. Highly recommended.

Great water sports facilities. Excellent air conditioning in both rooms. Clean and tidy and well equipped. Very helpful and friendly host. Would recommend. No problems. The apartment was much better than the pictures led me to expect.

• Paula (10/5): Loved it! - Wonderful apartment, wonderful host. Wifi often didn’t work (and we couldn’t access 5G at that spot), although the host has plans to fix this problem.
• Kate (10/5): Very comfortable seaview apartment - Fantastic apartment 20 seconds from the sea and our favourite taverna (Thomas's). Extremely comfortable firm bed. Great shower! Balconies on two sides so there was always shade/sun. Alexandra is lovely and very helpful. Some small bowls and a small pan would be handy.
• Deborah (9/5): Perfect location, pretty comfortable apartment. - The apartment is pretty and welcoming from the outside. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable inside. Bed linen was changed, the apartment cleaned, and bins emptied on the third day. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, allowing a late check-out. The accommodation was perfect for two, myself and my daughter. I used the bedroom, and my daughter, the sofa bed in the small living space. The location is literally less than 1 minute to the beach. I will definitely consider booking this apartment again. A small critique would be that building work directly adhacent to the apartment, and on the beach front is on stop at the current time and probably will resume in the winter. When the build is complete, this will impede on the current seaview from the outdoor seating area of the apartment. However, a nice new villa adjacent to the apartment, rather than the previous unkempt wasteland and the less than 1 minute walk to the beach for the perfect seaview, I consider will be viewed as a positive.

• Michael (1/5): The host accused our child of stealing and it ruined our holiday- A truly awful experience- BEWARE! - The apartment was basic, but clean and although it directly overlooks a building site where the foundations of a building have been left to fill with stagnant algae covered water, it has a sea view from the master bedroom balcony and a mountain view from the kitchen. On day 5 of our stay the host cleaned our apartment and the bedsheets/towels changed as expected. On the day of departure, we vacated the apartment and left the key on the table. As our departure was delayed, I thought I would check back in with the host to thank her in person, inform her of a broken wine glass during our stay and to make sure she had found the key on the table. The atmosphere felt dark. She and her adult daughter informed me there were 4 pillowcases missing. I suggested she had not put new ones on when she cleaned the apartment halfway through the stay, this could be the only logical explanation. She proceeded to laugh in my face and say this scenario was ‘impossible’. My daughter confirmed there were no pillowcases present after the mid stay clean and the host became hysterical, screaming “YOU ARE A LIAR!!” in my 13-year-old daughter’s face. The host and her daughter became VERY aggressive towards us, they accused us of being thieves. They screamed at us to get out of the property. We went back to the restaurant; my daughter was shaking. At this point my wife found a photo on her iPhone of my daughter sitting up in her bed at the property taken after the mid stay clean. The photo clearly shows the pillow has no pillowcase- it is time and date stamped. We went back to show the host the proof she was mistaken. The host did not accept this, she was raging and continued to accuse us of stealing the pillowcases and she said she would call the police! I told her I would be happy for her to do this, and she was welcome to look through our luggage. I reiterated that she was mistaken and asked her again to count the inventory. She would not. Being accused of stealing 4 cheap pillowcases after spending 1600€ on basic accommodation is appalling. It is also utterly ridiculous and insulting. Screaming “YOU ARE A LIAR!” in a 13-year-old child’s face is downright unacceptable. This experience has left our family feeling extremely upset and shaken.

• Sasha (10/5): Perfect - We rented 3 apartments here and they were all absolutely beautiful. Spacious, airy, lovely balconies and views and the location was absolutely perfect. Alex is an amazing host and nothing was any trouble to her. I highly recommend these apartments - beautiful.
• Madeleine (9/5): Lovely flat in ideal location. - We stayed in the one bedroom basement flat. Alexandra met us when we arrived, even when our flight was a bit delayed. The flat looked newly renovated and it was spotlessly clean and well equipped, we had everything we needed. Alexandra serviced the flat half way through our stay. The flat is small, but ideal for a couple and it has a large patio area with seating and a table which was a lovely place to sit. It's less than a minute's walk to Kalami Beach and close to a little supermarket. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely return to this apartment. It's more a matter of preference, but the mattress is very firm. Wifi signal was ok, but not that strong.
• Angela (7/5): I enjoyed my stay and everything you need is close by. Greeks very hospitable. If you want a self catering, VFM apartmen - Very clean on arrival and spacious; a proper 2 bed apartment. You get a lot of property for your money. The air conditioning was excellent and all equipment supplied for your stay. The view at the back of the property wasn’t great with a pool I think under construction but no work ongoing so I didn’t want to sit out there as view spoilt. Just a note - you need to pay in cash on arrival which I hadn’t realised.

• Nathan (10/5): A charming cottage situation tucked in close to the beach. - The location was wonderful, literally 30 seconds from the beach at beautiful Kamalí Bay. The apartment itself, which is part of a medium sized building, was lovely. I had a ground floor situation with a cosy courtyard. The facilities inside were clean, tasteful and well-appointed. There was a proper coffee maker (a stove top espresso maker). My hostess was wonderful. She was friendly, easy-going and made everything right. Good communication prior to checking in.

• Camilla (10/5): Superb apartment in a beautiful location - Garneli was lovely, we stayed in a beautifully situated apartment with a picturesque outside area shaded by flowers which was 20-50m from the sea. The apartment is located a very short walk to a supermarket (mini mart) if you are looking to self cater or close to tavernas if you are looking to go out. Alexandra (the host) was fantastic and was so helpful. She dropped off some extra blankets and put up some black out curtains when we asked. Really cannot recommend enough, ideal locale for exploring Kalami and Corfu or generally just relaxing. Would definitely come back! Nothing, everything was superb.

• Janet (9/5): What a wonderful place to stay! - The location was perfect - 3 balconies, one of which overlooked the sea. Coffee machine (filter) so we could relax watching the sea in the morning. Right next to Thomas's place & just along from Kalami beach bar, both great places to eat, & very close to Super Marios supermarket. The washing machine was also very handy. Not used to wet rooms, much prefer a shower curtain, but the bathroom was very clean & there was a mop for any water.

Excellent presentation with flowers and greenery. Nice balconies. Cooker hob faulty. Never did manage to get it working properly. Kettle stopped working so used coffee making machine to get hot water for drinks as hob faulty. Would have preferred a toaster as low level grill fiddly to use.

• Andrii (10/5): YES! YES! YES! I highly recommend it! - Wow! It was one of the best Apartments I’ve ever had a chance to live in. The kindest personal I’ve ever had a chance to meet. The room is treated like a child - incredibly clean, fresh renewed, and light. The room smells like new wooden furniture mixed with lavender (because of the essence sticks set around the rooms). There’s an amazingly huge personal terrace, washing machine, mini grill, coffeemaker and a whole bunch of dishes. After I arrived I’ve got a present from an owner - a pack of salted chips, a bottle of water for the first day, multi fruit juice and a tiny bottle of local alcohol. There also was a problem with a sink (that was caused by me only), so it was repeated at the next day. I felt so welcome there, and I highly recommend you Garneli Apts! It is not a downside, just a tiny nuance I’ve noticed. However, even tho my room was so perfect, and new, I don’t think rest are like this. These are more like “vintage”. Many it will be changed as well….

• Keri (9/5): Great! - Great location set back from the ocean with a view via other buildings to the ocean beyond. Easy to get to the beach and shops. Apartment had 3 balconies which was perfect for any time of day/weather. There could have been some essentials provided like salt & pepper, oil to cook as it is a short-stay self-catering option. To buy these things when you have to fly home soon is not ideal.
