Laura (9/5): Boutique hotel in Liverpool - Lovely welcome by staff to help with automatic check in. Very quiet boutique hotel about 15 mins walk from Liverpool Lime Street train station. Rooms were very comfortable and clean- I slept very well! Very nice bed, bedding and towels. Right next to the Everyman Theatre and the beautiful Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. The hotel felt a bit deserted and impersonal at times- a lot of processes are encouraged to be automated so I'm not sure where the staff are, but I'm sure you can get their attention if you need to. My room felt a little small. I didn't get to see much of the hotel as I was there for work and didn't take breakfast.

Victoria (2/5): The listing says luxury, the experience is far from that - The location was great for an event at The Philharmonic. The bed was comfortable. This is masquerading as a luxury hotel, but there really is very little care taken. I didn’t see one member of staff at check in, the machine was effective, but made my stay feel faceless. I booked this ash a bit of a treat instead of my usual budget stay at Tune Hotel, which is a third of this price. The kettle had a yellow scum stain in it, the make up mirror flashed on and off, so was unusable. The shower leaked all over the floor with the door closed and was filthy. There was a member of staff on the desk at checkout, who told me he would check out for me, but the deposit (which I was told was a zero charge on my card in case of extra spending) would not be returned to me for up to 5 days. No enquiry about my stay - and then as I was still stood in front of him, he answered a phone call, so I assumed our interaction has finished. I have now received a message asking me to check out online - with no link to check out. Such a pity as the furnishings in the room were lonely. The crinkled photocopied random bits of paper in the welcome folder were a reflection of the amount of customer care shown. I’m not sure how I would have used the £50 deposit, as I saw no bar, restaurant or anything else, nor was a given any info on check in. If you are a person who wants a stay without any interaction with people - this one is for you. I will opt be back. I’ll save my money and go back to the budget,, but friendly and clean Tune Hotel in future
Jeff (10/5): Very quiet, very central and a very nice hotel for the price paid. - Location near the university for us, as we were visiting our son, was superb. Also walking distance of the main city centre and with nice bars and eateries adjacent. Tasteful modern room in a first class condition. Jacuzzi bath is a nice touch and not at all tacky. Only one very minor thing. It would have been nice if there was some drinking water in the room. We are always dubious of drinking from the cold water tap in case it has been sitting in a storage tank as part of the plumbing system.

I am old school in my 60s so struggled with self check in etc. However the young woman who I met was extremely helpful and made the experience a great deal easier.

Staff so friendly and helpful. Room was Beautiful as well and the bed was so comfy, fantastic night's sleep. The hotel was so convenient for the Liverpool Philharmonic hall, literally a 2 minute walk and across the road.

Anthony (10/5): Excellent stay in a great part of Liverpool - The location is excellent and they also have a small car park which is so handy if you’re able to bag a space. The staff are top notch. So helpful and friendly The automated check in is a right pain in the backside. Not straight forward at all. Thank goodness for the staff on hand to help out. But if there’d been a queue it could have turned into utter chaos.

The touch screen check-in didn't work; I wasn't able to book into my room until 6:40 pm due to having no curtains in my room. When I was eventually let into the room, the kettle was broken, there was no mini fridge and no soap in the ensuite.

The hotel décor was being updated / refurbished and where it was completed it looked very good. There was no English breakfast available. Although the staff were very friendly and attenuative you could see that they needed better training. The bathroom sink was very ornate but you couldn't stop the water from draining away. The paint had not dried on the banister.

angelahilldrup (10/5): Brilliant hotel and location. Would deffo stay again. - The hotel is lovely. The rooms are lovely. The checking in and out was easy. The staff were very helpful. The location for the knowledge quarter is great and lots of lovely Olde Worlde pubs in the area. Perfect location for the theatre and a great take away opposite. Even though the beds were very comfortable the actual pillows were very firm and bulky, and for me not soft enough, so I woke up with a crick in my neck.

Jane (8/5): Great hotel, great location, will definitely return! - The bedroom was of a good size with 2 double beds was great! The hotel looks to have been recently renovated to a good quality. The bathroom and shower were excellent. My daughter and I both slept well with a comfortable double bed each! The bedroom was in a good location with no noise heard. Nothing
julie (10/5): Just book it! - Absolutely Spotless. Very comfortable bed. Super spar bath, (with a few surprises) Bedding was absolutely divine. The hotel staff was very helpful while I checked in. Would highly recommend it if you're going to the philimonic Hall . Absolutely everything

Catherine (9/5): - This hotel is lovely, it is in a great location in the Knowledge Quarter, close to both cathedrals , nice bars and restaurants and the Royal Philharmonic Theatre. Rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated and the continental breakfast is great value for money. It is self check in via a code but staff are on hand if you need them and are very helpful.
Jayne (9/5): Excellent location, renovated to a high standard, super clean - Very very clean, I would say recently renovated. Location perfect for our needs. Clever self check in. The room a lot smaller than it looked in pictures.
