• Eric (10/5): Great place to explore Edinburgh - Quiet building just off the tourist centre of Edinburgh - close to all attractions and public transport - lots of good Restaurants and coffee shops - great view over the city Everything was great
• Zoe (9/5): Brilliant location for the best of Edinburgh - Central location in the heart of the Old Town, easy walking distance to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Arthur's Seat as well as many coffee shops, shops and restaurants. The apartment was warm and comfortable. Nothing!

• Heidi (6/5): After our initial concerns on arrival we had a great stay. - The apartment is in a great location, quiet but within easy reach of everything On our arrival we noticed that the apartment hadn’t been cleaned properly, there was broken glass on the bedroom floor and the bed looked as though it had been slept in! However we notified the owner, who was extremely concerned and helpful and a cleaner was there within the hour. All in all this apartment is a good place to stay for location and price. I think we had a problem due to the cleaning company used but, hopefully this has been resolved by the owner

• José Luis (9/5): Céntrico, tranquilo, espacioso y con todo lo necesario. Buena relación calidad-precio. - Está en el mismo centro de Edimburgo y además en una calle tranquila y de poco tráfico. El apartamento tiene todo lo necesario para una buena estancia; los anfitriones nos dejaron muchos presentes de bienvenida y además nos hicieron útiles recomendaciones sobre qué ver y qué hacer en la ciudad y alrededores. El apartamento es espacioso y cómodo con dos dormitorios y dos baños. Nosotros éramos tres y nos pareció perfecto, pero también está bien para dos parejas. Al llegar es un poco confusa la manera de acceder, pero revisando las instrucciones de los anfitriones todo fue perfecto. Nada de lo que quejarnos.
• Erin (8/5): Overall a very nice place to explore Edinburgh - Good location in the city, spacious airy apartment with big windows, well appointed with lovely decor, fans, outlet adapters, gracious host, excellent communication, Lovely very generous gift basket on arrival, lots of other comfort items, nice beds, linens, towels etc. This isn't the host's fault but the hallways of the building had an odor and the outside/hallway doors were it seemed not always functioning well so there was some stressful navigating to get in even when following what seemed like clear directions. I did feel like the host would be responsive if I had needed to contact them about this but I didn't.

The welcome basket and bottle of bubbles was most appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were on the small side and the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite steep. You have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other room.

• Donata (10/5): Lovely, good rest, great location, perfect for short trip to Edinburgh - Location was perfect, very quiet if you want a good rest. Apartment’s layout has quirkiness but we loved it. Host was very kind and left nice welcome pack. Was lovely touch. Thank you. In the kitchen was wooden skirting board fallen, and we couldn’t use one of sockets upstairs in the bedroom as some metal thing was stuck in it.

• Barbara (4/5): Location close to lots of things, but too many things that did not meet expectations. - the apartment was clean and spacious No elevator, broken all the time according to the other tenants! All 4 of us, older sisters, had to climb 5 flights of stairs daily. TOO Much noise outside the apartment EVERY NIGHT from local college students who use the area as a hangout!!!

• Lizzy (10/5): Great, compact location in the heart of the city. Clean and comfortable. Lovely haven to come back to after a day at the - Perfect location, comfortably equipped flat. Lovely treats provided on arrival (flowers, tea, coffee, biscuits and even Prosecco!). The communal hallways are a little off putting in appearance, but there were no problems with noise or neighbours. Layout internally is unusual - as other reviews indicate.
• Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent apartment for our family celebration- 80th and 21st- 3 generations. Everything that you can think of can be found at hand. Great location for both the Royal Mile - Castle for Tattoo & Fringe shows. It would have been a great help to have been able to use the lift.

• Brian (8/5): The location of the apartment is absolutely amazing! - The host was wonderful and sent all of the important information ahead of our arrival. We knew we were going to arrive much later than originally planned, but the host provided all the necessary information for the exterior code as well as the lock box combination for the keys to the apartment door. No issues! The location of the apartment is incredible! We walked all over the city and even though we had a car, we never used it for visiting the sites in Edinburgh. My family and I also liked that there were (2) full bathrooms. Although, the upstairs shower is very small. The building was not exactly what we imagined. There is a mix of full-time residents, students, and rental units what appears to be a converted dormitory building. The apartment sits above Drummond St which isn't terribly busy, but you hear everything since the windows do not provide any soundproofing. It's especially loud when the trash bins are picked up and if you stay over a weekend (Thurs - Sun) then the pub across the street gets quite loud. The bedrooms are a bit odd. Downstairs has a room with (2) single beds. Upstairs is essentially a loft that has 1 double bed that is above the kitchen/living area. Then there is another room/loft section with (2) more single beds that is open to the bedroom on the downstairs level. There is a wooden closet-like door that can be closed but it's not soundproof. Just so it's clear, there are plenty of beds but none of them are truly private rooms.
• Nick (7/5): Despite issue with bedrooms we had a great stay & location was far better than last year when we stayed in residenti - Location very central with amenities close by. Property was very secure. Very clean loved the additional extras provided eg tea & coffee not to mention the bottle of bubbly. The bedroom set up is an acquired taste and would suit a family better than group of friends due to mezzanine and curtain separating rooms and also to gain access to one room had to go through another. Sound travels between all rooms unfortunately.

• Karen (10/5): A very enjoyable comfortable weekend - Easy access to city centre , very clean and comfortable , well equipped for cooking etc . Comfy beds , nicely decorated , good for family with tv etc . Very helpful friendly hosts .
• Rhonda (8/5): Nice apartment in a great location. Wonderful friendly and helpful hosts. - Communication with Archie and Maggie was easy and promptly responded to. The apartment had an 'interesting' layout, but made good use of available space. Treats on arrival were a lovely touch. Great access to the city, train station and other public transport. Very steep steps up to the 2 bedrooms on the top level. Very noisy on the first night due to World Cup revellers, but this was no fault of the hosts.

• Arup (8/5): Will certainly recommend an stay again! - Excellent location for our purpose which was my son’s graduation from the University of Edinburgh. Windows and blinds need to work, perhaps some minor repairs are necessary in one bedroom and the kitchen area. Some areas in these areas could also be kept cleaner.
