Guest Reviews
- Stuart (10/5): Perfect - Perfect and very quite surroundings Quite and very comfortable
- Katerina (10/5): -
- LuisaOr (7/5): - Very scenic and secluded, ideal for a weekend away from the hectic life or for a hacking holiday It was not clear from the description that the bathroom is in a separate shack and you need to walk outdoors to reach it from your room. Not ideal. In the middle of the night and not for the price
- Fordham (8/5): -
- Edward (9/5): - Cosy hideaway in a lovely location. Beautiful scenery! Perfect for a peaceful weekend away 😌
- Jamie (10/5): No words can describe this time I’ve had here tbh I wouldn’t be doing it justice, just come and see for yourself 🤍🫶🏽 - I have no words for this place! It’s honestly amazing! Please make sure you visit because you will not be disappointed in the slightest Everything! The cuteness, the remoteness but also close to everything, the views! The bed well I slept better than ever
- Robert (10/5): - Exceptionally quiet and peaceful location. The room itself was clean and comfy. The reviews mentioning outside sink must be old as the kitchen is complete with sink and oven (as well being beautiful). Helpful directions and information on how to get the best out of our stay. Everything seemed to have environmental concerns in mind which is a nice touch. The views are unbeatable. We would love to visit again.
- Cai (9/5): Superb - Really cosy and lovely owners. Had an excellent stay here. Highly recommend :) It rained on the first night and the toilet was outside so we got a bit wet! just as a small nitpick, everything else was exceptional
- Kirby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (9/5): Wonderful, would recommend. - So cosy and clean, hot tub was lovely. Katy and her husband were super attentive and helpful. No issues
- Simon (4/5): Nice place, though one room only. Beware the shower/toilet is outside. - Excellent location, very remote, if you like that sort of thing. Outside toilet only - this was not made clear in the listing. I don't appreciate having to get half dressed in the middle of the night to go to the loo. If I did I'd go camping.
- Billy (9/5): Overall, Crogloft is a great stay and Katy is a helpful host. - Location was excellent and Crogloft was a great, cosy stay. Katy was very easy to communicate with. The surrounding fields are a great backdrop to the cottage. Bathroom amenities need investment and instructions for using the hot tub are necessary.
- Hall (10/5): Snowdonia hideaway is a must - Well, what can i say? What a lovely location beautiful view lots to do around the location lane to yje accommodation is a bit of track but not a problem would recommend it i will be going back some time in the year if its not booked up get for walking the steam train is a must lovely people who manage the hideway were great could not do enough for me thank you aled and katy There is nothing i can think off
- Edwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paskal (10/5): A perfect hideaway - Good central location to the main attractions. Friendly owners and feels like home. You will need to go a long way to find the local shopping areas for food. So keep some parcel. I got free parking and the morning view to the mountains is stunning. Missing it would be a nightmare.
Good size room, bit dated but good size, comfortable and clean with an outside lavatory.
Would stay again.
- Paul (8/5): One night stay after riding , cosy room to relax . - Very cosy room with a beautiful view , outside bathroom nice and clean . Additional bed was a bit uncomfortable.
- Mary (5/5): Disappointed - Beautiful location. Excellent value in summer but not a good location for a winter break. Cold shower and breaking ice on outdoor washing up facility was unpleasant. Bedroom was warm and comfortable but an alarm going off due to next doors inappropriate use if shower was extremely unpleasant; my ears are still ringing. And very unconcerned response from owners. Small room very warm, but noisy from fridge/freezer, which I unplugged at nighttime.
Fabulous in summer I expect. But little consideration for winter guests. See above.
- Koppany (10/5): Fabulous - We liked everything! The location it's simply amazing, the room was cozy and comfortable. I'd recommend this to everyone who wants to relax and take a rest...here you can. There are amazing walks close by, the beach 10 minutes away
and if you want a decent climb, further up the valley is the path that leads to Cader Idris.
I hope I'll have the chance again to take my family back to this wonderful place. I don't think I can name something that we didn't enjoy except the weather but even that couldn't put us off.
- Adam (10/5): Stayed for 2 nights in the crog-loft had a lovely fire pit on the first night and went for a walk around the nearby town - Absolutely amazing location, as long as your vehicle isn’t low down to the ground then access is perfect you’re just the right amount set back away from people. To be able to enjoy the peace n quiet. Very difficult to pick fault with anything other than the sink being outside and un-sheltered, made washing the pots at 9am in the rain a very awakening experience. ;)
- Aisha (9/5): Scenic Beauty - Katy was absolutely wonderful and a great host. It's literally a hidden gem and I would certainly visit again.
- Lee-ann (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautiful location. Quiet. Just what you need to relax. Nothing
- Rae (9/5): Lovely cabin views up the glen - Cabin was comfortable and scenery was beautiful. I was only there for one day.
- Sarah (10/5): Magnificent views - Lovely location
- Wessley (9/5): Superb - Super comfy bed. Lovely owners. Shower was a bit cold but came good in the end. Ace roads for motorbike run. Deffo recommended.
- Constantin-gigi (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice viewing!

- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings - Beautiful room in a gorgeous location and the host was really friendly. We had sheep as neighbours, it was lovely. The room was decorated with lovely touches and it was very clean. The toilet and shower was in a separate unit to the room but it wasn't too far away.
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Victoria (10/5): Great little gem - Clean, great location, owner was lovely and just a lovely little find.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (10/5): Great little place with amazing views - Amazing location and the accommodation had everything we needed for a nice short break
- Guy (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Tywyn was an absolutely stunning location, comfy accommodation, stunning views of the valley and railway running past, and probably the most peaceful nights sleep we've had! Great value for money and the coast is only a short drive away. Highly recommended!! Travelling to the Bathroom in the pouring Welsh weather was not ideal but we made the best of it! Other than that cannot fault it.
- Duffell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reeshu (10/5): Cozy cottage with gorgeous views - The room was so cozy and extremely comfortable. There were many amenities present and the hosts were super helpful. The views were stunning and created a peaceful atmosphere. We feel refreshed from this holiday.
- Jack (10/5): Lovely Place - Beautiful getaway, secluded and peaceful with awesome views. I stayed in the loft self catering room it had everything you would need for a retreat away, great location 10min drive to nearest town/shops/Beach and 20min drive to Cadir Idris. Katy was really nice and helpful.
- Jayne (10/5): Love it will be back - All was brilliant Having to go home
- Brenda (10/5): beautiful property - the remote location and the beautiful views
- Sam (6/5): last minute booking, it did the job. - Well described rural comfortable stay.
and prepare for an external shed for toilet/ and SS shower tub facilities. Ideal for the camper adventurer. although getting to the property is well described, vehicle access is slow and not ideal with out high ride vehicle. we were there in June, not sure in other seasons.
- Sally (8/5): lovely small rural retreat - beautiful small sheep loft outside toilet and shower. the road is difficult. no marked footpath from the property.
- Jisnet (7/5): Good -
- Worldalpiner (8/5): Very good - It is a beautiful spot and the room is great. The bathroom located outside may be a bit cold in the morning.
- Jade (10/5): would 100% recommend and return in the future. - the morning view was stunning nothing exactly how it was advertised
- Jasmin (10/5): quiet, cozy and minimalistic! - A quiet, cozy place to feel like home. Really stylish and minimalistic, but everything you need is there. :-)
- Scott (10/5): An unspoiled, beautiful location. Very peaceful. -
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - The location is fabulous,... beautiful surroundings, blissfully peaceful - the perfect place to relax. The loft is idyllic and has everything one needs for a brief stay. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was warm. Loved the quality of the plates and mugs. The hob is very simple to use and efficient when preparing food. We loved the shower etc being outside and washing up outside made it feel like less of a chore. The views were astounding and if we weren't out walking all day I could have sat on the balcony for hours. As we were on a walking weekend, it was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day. Kate and her husband were friendly and helpful. Many thanks, will definitely recommend particularly to walkers of the WCP.
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Deza (10/5): A lovely place with beautiful scenery. - An absolutely beautiful location and the accommodation suited our needs perfectly! It’s such a cute little space and yet has everything you need for a little getaway.
- Paula (10/5): Great Place - The location was excellent. The host were great.
The whole experience was just amazing. Thank you There was nothing we didn't enjoy
- Faye (10/5): Worth a visit - The views were amazing such a beautiful location. Was a little cold in the room with a baby but we did go in November fine for adults
- Maxine (9/5): Great stay, lovely and peaceful. - The location was amazing. Beautiful views of the mountains right outside your door, amazing sight to wake up to in the morning. Lots of utensils and things available to use. Very comfortable bed. It was a bit of a pain having to go outside to use the toilet and shower or to wash your hands if need be. And also having to wash up outside. The shower and toilet hut had alot of spiders 😬 puts you off wanting to use the shower.
- Callan (10/5): perfection.. short and simple answer - absolutely everything.
can not fault this atall, everything from the location to the Beautiful cat just made this stay… perfect
- Sam (10/5): Perfect. - Beautiful location tucked away down a long drive. Everything was in order and well organised, and Katy & Aled could not have been more accommodating, considerate and kind.
Hideaway describes it perfectly. If you want a quiet retreat in a beautiful Welsh valley and to get away from it all then you can’t do any better.
- Singhi (10/5): Exceptional - Location is stunning and it perfect for a break from hectic city life. The host (Katy) was very accommodative and nice. Would definitely return for a much longer stay!!
- Katie (10/5): Completely and totally relaxing! Everything felt taken care of and the family was calm and helpful - Lodge was so comfortable and the views were stunning. Felt so welcomed and they gave us some Greta ideas for trips in the area. Only thing I would improve on was the lighting surrounding the outdoor bathroom for visiting the toilets at night
- Brigita (10/5): relaxing stay with wonderful view and owner - perfect location, extremely clean and comfortable, easy and warm communication with the owner
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Stacey (10/5): perfect - I loved the location and the way the property
was laid out. it had clearly been well thought
out
Great view, sheep, birds and tranquility nothing. I wish I had longer to appreciate the
property more
- Chao (8/5): Very good -
- Hjhclifford (10/5): An excellent retreat for peace and quiet, or excellent area for walkers and cyclists. - The venue is exactly as described in the booking details. I am familiar with the area and knew what to expect in terms of the remote location, and the facilities were as set out. If you are seeking somewhere very quiet, almost reclusive, this will suit you. I was travelling alone, and felt very safe there.
- Caroline (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable mattress. Beautiful setting. having to go out of bedroom down stairs to loo and shower room which is not insulated or heated.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
