• Marquardt (10/5): A peaceful and relaxing stay within walking distance of beautiful Balangan Beach. - I really love staying at Brothers Bungalows in Balangan Beach and I highly recommend this place. I have already stayed there three times and I will definitely come back again. The bungalows are very comfortable, spacious, bright, and always very clean. The property also has a beautiful garden and a swimming pool, and the atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet, which makes it a perfect place to relax. It is within walking distance of Balangan Beach and Balangan Cliff, which is an amazing spot for sunsets. The staff are also incredibly kind and take very good care of the guests, which always makes the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it is one of my favourite places to stay in Bali. Nothing

• Sofie (4/5): Geen aanrader! - Weinig. Het is niet zoals op de toto’s! Het is erg afgeleefd. Douche ging niet naar behoren. Bloedvlekken op de trap van het huisje. Zwembad erg klein, niet zoals op de foto’s. Geen ontbijt beschikbaar, zoals op de foto’s wel blijkt… De bediening is erg jong en spreekt amper Engels. We hadden problemen met de wifi en de ontvangst van internet in het algemeen. We hebben dit meteen gemeld aan Booking en aan de accommodatie. Er kwam een dame ons een uitleg doen, maar ook zij hield zich jammer genoeg niet aan haar woord en contacteerde ons pas veel later. We wensten onze Booking te cancellen, maar kregen geen reactie, of veel te laat. Erg onprofessioneel! Jammer dat dit onze laatste dagen waren in Indonesië! Al onze andere accommodaties voldeden ruimschoots aan onze verwachtingen!

Staff didn’t speak well English, and they made us to pay extra for a bed for a kid, although in our reservation said it was two people plus a kid, I guess they didn’t read it before and just charged us more. There is no restaurant at the place, no breakfast available either, not even some water for free like many others places we found in Bali. In this area you will find better accommodation like bungalows as well for better price, we saw them later on when we were there… so better not to book here :)

Jammer dat jullie geen ontbijt meer verzorgen. Een waterkoker en kopjes hadden het verblijf iets aangenamer kunnen maken.

• Marion (10/5): Highly recommend - I had a truly wonderful stay here. The bungalow was absolutely perfect, exceptionally clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I was especially grateful to have hot water (not always guaranteed in Bali!) and good air conditioning. There is also a lovely little balcony with a table, perfect for relaxing in the morning or in the evening. They don’t offer food on-site, but you can go to the nearby resorts and restaurants without paying any extra fee, which was really convenient. And i could enjoy their pool and the beautiful views over the beach. The location is excellent: close to Uluwatu, but far enough from the crowds to enjoy peace and nature. The Wi-Fi worked very well too. The only small downside for me is that my Ubigi card didn’t catch any mobile signal in this area, so I couldn’t rent a scooter even though they offer them on-site. But honestly, it wasn’t a real problem — there are Grab cars and scooters everywhere, and it’s super easy to order them. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It’s a little gem. 🌿✨ and thank you all the staff because they were just amazing and very helpful and understanding.
• Marina (7/5): Was ok, but compared to bungalows which are 20 minutes far away and cheaper not worth the money. - Location was quite good, make sure you organize yourself some food in advance (if you like to walk then it’s no problem at all, because good Warungs are nearby - 20 minutes walk). Clean and quiet Bungalows. - Kitchen was miserabel. - The staff wasn’t helpful at all. Didn’t get any reaction when I texted the staff about the water in the kitchen (drinkable or not). - They couldn’t speak English and tried to be friendly, but were most of the time on their phone. - Sometimes I felt watched.

Удобная и большая кровать. Слив в душе был забитый. Вода не проходила. В самом бунгало не хватает шкафа с вешалками для одежды.

Location can feel isolated of services, food options, and the beach is not really swimmable (but beautiful, great sunset)

There’s no kitchen, so you’ll need to eat out at nearby cafés. The closest supermarket is about a 7-minute scooter ride away.

• Christelle (6/5): Charming but disappointing with no restaurant/food - The property was charming, quiet and the rooms comfortable and an easy walk from the beach. There was no restaurant/food available which was disappointing especially as I had specifically chosen a stay that was supposed to include breakfast so I had to go out each morning to eat instead. My bungalow also did not have a mosquito net over the bed, despite all the photos showing otherwise and no safe for valuables. With only a padlock to lock the door rather than a lock it did not feel super safe. The hotel also had no record of my booking and were not expecting me and kept asking to see my Booking.com booking Overall charming but disappointing. I would stay elsewhere in the future.

• Amelia (9/5): Superb - Really lovely place! I think they are still building the kitchen so no facilities there however the room was stunning as was the pool area!! Wifi also worked well. The location is away from all the business of uluwatu but you are walking distance to a beach with v local warungs on. They were still building the kitchen/bar area but once that is done i think it'll be amazing. Offering a breakfast would be great as you are quite remote.

Very chill and lovely to sit on balcony or pool and look at very zen garden. Peaceful, no traffic noise. Best to ride a scooter to get around. no little bar fridge in room, no safe.
• Dalstein (6/5): For the money we spent we didn't expect much, but somehow it was even worse. No amenities whatsoever, not even to wa - Location is good if you like quiet neighborhoods close to the beach. Partial outside bathroom was a hassle when there was a rainstorm. Had to strip naked to go to the toilet cause everything was soaking wet. Toilet paper also got wet, and the drains clogged due to debris being pulled down from the roof with the rain. Also didn't change our towels once in 8 days and there were no amenities. Not even soap to wash our hands. Also a lot of insects, which I guess its to be expected in a bungalow, but it was poorly isolated agains the surroundings. There was a frog living in the roof (idk?) and it was croaking whole night every night. We could see it inside on top of the wall.

Gardens pretty sparse , although it’s a new garden the gardener seems intent on cutting plants to within an inch or their life!

• Kate (6/5): Cute, but not great if you’re checking-in in evening - The pool was nice and the bungalow was cute for value. We liked the outside bathroom. We arrived at 11:30 pm, I confirmed 3 times prior to arrival that we would be arriving late and everything was all okay. When we arrived at night, no one was there, all lights were off and we were very annoyed. We rang the bell, turned on all lights and called out for ages. Eventually we gave up and started looking for other accomodation as it was past midnight, plus we had to pay extra for our driver that had to wait for us - luckily he did! then we finally heard from the accomodation and we’re able to get into a room. The security man came up to us and said he was there the whole time, which he obviously wasn’t. There was another guest there who said he has been waiting for a staff member since 1pm! Basically there were never staff around when you needed them, which in a time of crisis could be a concern?

• Enrico (4/5): You can find much better places around - After many trips to Bali we chose to stay a couple days Close to Balangan beach, one of the few places in Bukit that keep some Balinese Vibes. The place is really run down and probably just reopened after a long shut down. Work in progress in some of the bungalows. no services/staff available onsite . Room not clean and never been cleaned during our stay. Not worth the money they ask.

Nice garden and pretty but small swimming pool. Easy walk to beach and lots of places around to eat. No breakfast available. Obviously had been eating area before as tables set out. Renovation work to a couple of bungalows plus a couple of new ones being built. No building noise but materials around, slightly untidy.
• Stephen (8/5): Very good - Great place and lovely staff. The kitchen was not open as I think bit of a refurb was going on. But we did not take breakfast included in the price option so no bother. Don't leave food out, especially fruit as you will get visitors at night. To be expected when living in a thatched hut in the tropics. No kettle in the room, would of been nice to be able to make a coffee in the morning.
• Shaikha (1/5): THE WORST - Nothing Nothing at all, this is the first time from years to write a comment or rate a hotel in booking, but this experience totally different. The electricity went out the entire hotel got dark, we tried to reach the reception desk but know one was there. There is no phone, hard to get to the hotel, the bathroom door is broken you can lock it and the room door has a manual lock 🔐.
• Chan (7/5): It was ok for a short stay. Good location. - It was clean and new. The toilet was without roof so it was wet when it rains. The towels were probably new as well and probably needed a few washcloths before they are absorbent enough.

• Victoria (10/5): Nice bungalows near the beach - Very nice small guest house next to the beach. Only 5 bungalows are working, the rest are being reconstructed, but there was no noise from this. My bungalow was comfortable, clean, great bed. The boys at the reception are friendly and nice. This is a great option if you want the authenticity of Bali, but keep in mind that this is a bungalow, not a hotel room. You may hear your neighbors and find guests in the bathroom, such as a spider lizard or bugs. I stayed for a week, none of this bothered me The only thing I ask the owner is to resolve the issue with drinking water, it seems to be in the kitchen, but I didn’t immediately discover it and carried bottles from a store 1 kilometer from the house. I would gladly pay for the opportunity to always easily fill my bottle with water. Otherwise - great! Thank you

• Alana (8/5): Perfect stay for surfing and exploring the area - The bungalows are gorgeous and well equipped, however the addition of a small refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities would be great. When we stayed during the low season the property was still in the process of renovating and there were no bar or restaurant facilities. This was fine as there are plenty in the area but it did give the property more of a backpacker vibe.

I could hear everything what my neighbors were talking about 2. there is no complementary teabags or coffee in the room, no water bottles. nothing 3. the staff is barely communicating and always a stare weirdly. it made me feel uncomfortable as a single traveler 4. the staff is never at the reception
• Claire (5/5): Passable - It was really clean, the bed is comfy, the staff are lovely, although speak very little English. Visually the property is lovely, the grounds, pool etc is all very aesthetic beautiful. The bungalow is alot like glamping. I'm not sure if they're all like this, or these ones in particular are badly made. There's large gaps between the walls to the outside so any insect can get in. My mosquito net had a hole so I was spraying bug spray all night, but still got bitten. You can hear every word & movement from your neighbours, literally like being in a tent. My room was on the road side so there was traffic noise late into the night. If it was cheaper it wouldn't have been so bad, but for the price it wasn't worth it for me. I'm sure I could have asked for the mosquito net to be fixed, but combined with the location (which I new was remote when I booked) and the electricity going out (not their fault, it was the whole area), I left after one night, even though I'd booked for 4. It just wasn't comfortable for me.

Most of rooms under construction or just empty. No bar and no restaurant. They have the facilities but nothing. One staff member a young boy. But friendly. I would probably stay next door next time.

A little bit remote to get to other places if you don’t have a scooter. It also advertised for food, but the restaurant was never open.

• Mara (5/5): Reasonable option for a short stay - The bungalow was really nice and well made - all from wood and natural materials. The beach Is just 5 min walk. I arrived around 11pm to find out that there was no one in the reception and no info on my room. Thankfully, my driver was able to call the owner and helped to find my room - without that, I wouldn’t have found my room. Also, in the next few days I did not see anyone from the reception, neither did they answer to my message in booking.com. Keep in mind, the bungalows have zero soundproofing- I heard everything what my neighbours were up to…

Thanks for accommodating our last-minute laundry request. This property has recently reopened post-pandemic, and, as a result, breakfast is not currently served on-site. However, kitchen amenities are available for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals.
