Guest Reviews
- Sharlene (1/5): Bad -
- Mo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gillgill999 (4/5): Extremely basic - The location is superb- in a quiet cul de sac, just off the Hoe. The room was adequately clean. It was cheap ( we were there on the night of the National Fireworks Competition, when all other places were charging sky high prices). The room was very basic - there was nowhere to hang clothes, and no tea making facilities ( there was a kettle and an open jar of old-looking teabags, but no cups). Security was poor - the house is unstaffed, both times we entered we easily 'tailgated' behind other guests to get past the outer key-coded door; our room door had an insubstantial lock. The place was in need of renovation- stained carpets, peeling paint etc.
- Debbie (7/5): Good - No breakfast . Had to pay parking every day . No tea facilities
- Sale (5/5): Passable - Clean bedding and comfortable No towels or coffee no hairdryer which was in description shower was cold
- Micky (4/5): Disappointing - Proximity to Hoe Mix up with keys. Orher guests checked into our allocated room. There is no on-site staff to resolve the issue. The contact phone number did not work.
- Dannie (1/5): Discusting - Nothing Do you have all day
- Joe (7/5): Good -
- Ruby (1/5): Unsafe, Disruptive, overall not a good place to stay. The owners of this property don’t even reply to situations, save y - There was netflix on the tv The door didn’t have a lock , only a chain lock. It couldn’t be locked from the outside. My room was broken into and items had been taken, further more when in bed I had an individual that was a part of a group walk into my room. The group were loud and disruptive. Theres no staff so I couldn’t report it but also everytime i have tried contacting to ask for a refund , the phone number doesn’t work and they do not answer emails. I had to take this situation up with booking.com however they also are yet to have any reply from the property owners.
- Scarlett (5/5): Not clean - Close to the town Not very clean,
- John (7/5): It was just a quick visit to attend the football, no sightseeing. -
- Clare (1/5): Bad - Nothing No staff just key box. Foyer dirty.
Room wasn't locked. Lock on room door broken. Room. Hadn't been cleaned. No handle on bathroom door.shower mouldy. Sheets stained.
Didn't feel safe so booked another hotel.
This hotel should be taken off booking.com.
- Sarah (3/5): Poor -
- Ryan (3/5): Poor - Not much The rooms that were completed were fine, however 3 of the rooms were like a building site, tools lying on the floor And all sorts, kitchen was crap, lounge not completed! The photos on the website are just of the complete rooms and not the whole house. Don’t stay here
- Qasim (1/5): I didn't stay - I did not like to stay in this townhouse
Hence I had to book another hotel . Because the room lock was found broken and didn't feel comfortable and unsafe too I did not like to stay in this townhouse
Hence I had to book another hotel . Because the room lock was found broken and didn't feel comfortable and unsafe too
Hope you're able to refunding my money £33 please
- Mark (1/5): mmh - the location No heat... room wasn't cleaned from previous guests ... door lock broken.
key to my door opened the door downstairs as his room wasn't prepared either.!!... locked out .... the phone number on booking.com is dead ...
slept in the car eventually.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Nicky (8/5): Good stay - The room was a nice size, we didn’t meet any staff but messages sent for check in were extremely clear. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom needs a bit of maintenance but for what we paid I cannot complain. The location was also great for us. Nothing really. Just potentially doing a little bit of maintenance on the room. Tiles on bathroom.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Good location, great value
- Fliss (9/5): Superb -
- Cloe (7/5): It was very good for the money - The bed was comfy It was quite cold and the sink was blocked
- Anthony (7/5): It was ok apart from the bed. - N/A Being bitten at night
- Amy (6/5): Cheap but cheerful - It’s cheap and cheerful, what you pay is what you get. Nothing amazing but the bed was clean and the toilet and shower worked. Heater also worked and the room went from cold to toasty quite easily A bit cold but that was sorted easily.
- Kelly (5/5): Passable - It's was freezing.
No milk.
- Alice (1/5): Didn’t feel safe - TV Booked for 2 nights to watch Plymouth fireworks, but only stayed 1 night because the room was a big issue for my and my partner, room was very cold (there was no heating), door wouldn’t lock properly, few stains on the bed sheet, few hairs on the bed sheet also, bed was small for 2 people, windows were wet, mould around the window, TV was the only good thing, bathroom, the sink was blocked and took ages for the water to go out, shower was mouldy, there was a NO drainage coverage for the water in the shower, bathroom was very tiny, parking was awful, took us a while to find space then paid nearly £20 for 24hrs, upstairs guests were very noisy, didn’t feel safe there and I won’t be coming back
- Anonymous (10/5): class place - nice facility nothing
- Sydney (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (3/5): Comfortable but strange - Comfy bed and good location Tea bags were left out with a kettle in the room but no cups. The toilet door was just like a big plank of wood that you had to pick up and move in front of the hole in the wall which was weird, and we couldn’t get into the room for ages as the key wasn’t left out properly. I understand it was cheap so wasn’t expecting much just was an odd experience
- Moore (7/5): Good - Beds where comfy Boilers on a timer so room was always cold, cold tap didnt work in my room either.
- Baiba (5/5): Passable -
- Henry (1/5): bad - we could not even get in. had to stay outside and wait. once we got in our door would not shut, so had to book and stay somewhere else.
- Bishy123 (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paige (10/5): Easy breezy - Clean, fresh and cosy! Great location too My only issue was the shower, it was either boiling hot or freezing cold I struggled to get it at the middle temp! But it was ok!
- Anonymous (3/5): Disappointed need some work soon - Location Not cleaned enough , towel was used not replaced after last person some broken wall inside the wardrobe pail of plasterboard inside looks like someone tried to get to next room from there. The doors doesn’t look properly from room feel insecure. The ceiling looks like it’s just about to collapse on you. very cold inside the heating doesn’t work properly or they never turn it on.
- Aaron (5/5): Passable -
- From (7/5): Did the job - Location near the port was good. Comfy, clean bed. Netflix. No WiFi signal in room. Tea bags but no milk or coffee sachets. Directions say room 6 is on the first floor but actually up 4 flights of stairs - not in itself an issue but it's nice to know, you know? Ensuite was really small. I found it difficult to sit on the loo and close the door at the same time.
- Vladimir (1/5): Bad - Location. It was terribly cold in the room, it was warmer outside, we had to interrupt our planned weekend and leave on the first convenient bus, it’s a pity that it arrived only at 3.50 in the morning, while waiting for him we were forced to stay in outerwear under a blanket. Our weekend was a complete failure,we left so quickly, that we also forgot our umbrellas.
- Gary (3/5): Poor -
- Rachael (4/5): Disappointing - Location No tea and coffee facilities, or glasses ,no towels.
- Peter (1/5): Bad -
- Shireen (1/5): Bad - Went to hotel door was locked and followed check in instructions using keysafe. Keysafe did not work called housing manager called saeed he was not helpful. Had to go to alternative hotel. Everything
- Tom (6/5): Pleasant - 1 minute walk from a super market, super close to the city center and harbour. the bed was comfortable and the building itself was quiet. very easy to check in as well. heater was not working, no warm water, tv didn't work (which wasn't that big an issue)
- Beth (6/5): Pleasant - Good location and value for money, Had a kettle and tea bags but no mugs or milk? Also the sliding door to the bathroom was awful 😖
- Rebecca (5/5): Passable -
- Obafemi (1/5): Terrible experience and bad customer care - It was a very terrible experience. I and my wife got their and we couldn't get access to the house. The keys to the house was not where they said it would be. I reached out to customer care and they promised to help immediately but they never got back. It was a nightmare.
- Thomas (4/5): Disappointing - I liked the Location It is difficult to get parking. 24 hrs on street parking charges
- Ellie (1/5): Couldn’t access and no help - Couldn’t access it
- Richards (1/5): I couldn’t access the property, no key was in the lockbox and when I phoned for help they told me to call booking.com, w -
- Donatus (9/5): I enjoyed my stay though it was very expensive for me. - The room was so clean. The place is cool no drinkers, no smoker’s , no pets. Also kind of far from school There was no staff around to talk with or assist. Didn’t see anyone at all and feels strange
- Prabaline (8/5): Very good -
- Theo (3/5): Total customer service failure. - I am disappointed overall. The first two days I couldn’t have a shower because the switch in the bathroom wasn’t working. Moreover, on my first day I didn’t sleep in the premises because of the confused info I was given, I didn’t have access to the property and to rent an hotel room at Traveloodge.
- Shannon (7/5): Good -
- Steve (9/5): Perfect Overnight Stay - Very Quiet Location Nothing
- Georgina (10/5): Great basic room in excellent location - Great value for money, clean basic yet spacious room. In an excellent location. We managed to get a parking spot right outside the door which was a bonus! (Parking is to be paid for but easily paid on the phone in 2 minutes) building really quiet. I would stay here again it was a really good price too 😀
- Lorraine (5/5): Comfortable night, clean and fresh, great location - Location to the Barbican and Plymouth town centre. TV was confusing to work, without instructions, no milk for tea.
- Eric (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Nice comfortable bed, nice location close to the hoe and city. Easily accessible. The door didn’t lock from the inside or outside.
- Sheers (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (6/5): , It was ok to lay your head and have awaah if you don’t want any frills but those little extra effort like being able t - Quiet, clean and close to family and sea Needs updating, quite plain, tv wasn’t tuned in, no milk for tea, 1 toilet roll, 1 of the pillow’s needs replacing
- Alexander (5/5): Passable - Value for money in a great location. Never got a reply to any meesages.
- Knoxville26 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (3/5): Poor and stressed - Wrong key code no one answered the phone ore callme back after I left a voicemail
Some one had me key code but I had to wait more than an hour to get in
Drinks facilities poor no milk or sugar but 50 tea bags See above
- Elaine (8/5): Very good - Comfy bed
- Fiona (7/5): Good - Good overnight stay for a visit to the Theatre Royal. Lucky with a parking spot right outside but limited spaces and it is pricey 9.00am -9pm. On a No through road which is nice. Right on the Hoe. No frills but comfortable. Was fine for what we were needing. Tight en-suite but ok.
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, decent room
- Sachin (5/5): Not a value for money. Good for one night stay - - Bed was comfy
- Lots of mirrors in the noise don't know why
- Very close to Hoe - Sliding door of bathroom was the most frustrating experience. No handle from outside and never slides property. One has to play WWF with the door. I ended up keeping it open which was a bad experience
- Room and bathroom are very small
- Chloe (3/5): Don’t bother - Close to the Barbican. Bed was clean. Didn’t receive the email with the code to get into the property so we had no idea we needed it and spent over an hour trying to get in. No answer from the number provided to us. Luckily found another number and someone else helped us and sent us the code. The door on our room was very unsafe and could easily be broken into with one push. There were no mugs to make tea so what was the point in the kettle? Carpet didn’t even cover the entire floor. Way too overpriced. If it was £30 for a weekday maybe it would of been acceptable.
- Michelle (10/5): Will definitely stay Abu - Lovely room and great location for the town Finding a parking spot hard had to go to the local multiple story
- Poole (4/5): Not the best - The location No sugar, coffee, or milk for the tea/coffee facility named in the description
- Mary (1/5): We didn’t stay. - Close to be aquarium we visited We had booked for 2 nights for the first stop on our holiday. After paying £15 to park, we didn’t even stay!
No facilities.
The TV is internet only but the internet didn’t even work so we had no tv, couldn’t use our phones or laptops or do any work. 3/4g non existent.
No tea and coffee machine. Just a kettle, jar of tea bags, 2 paper cups and a wooden fork.
Tiny bathroom with someone’s left over, nearly empty toiletries I would not want to use.
Host made aware of situation but didn’t offer any help.
Needs to be advised as self catering so you can take your own things.
- Rodica (5/5): Passable -
- Diana (1/5): Bad -
- Bernard (1/5): Bad - I arrived 10 minutes early, there was no answer, also I had tried to contact the host about the arrival time, left a voicemail , and got no reply. Very disappointed . Waited, and still no entry available. I had to sleep in my car.
- Holly (8/5): Would stay here again. - The bed was super comfortable and the location was so convenient for a walk along the docks. Overall was a very peaceful night. Not applicable, everything was nice.
- Fig (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (6/5): Plymouth Santander - Location Not an issue but couldn't tune the TV
- Lukasz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Habib (7/5): Good - The bed is comfortable, and it's situated in a siren environment The room has no fridge and microwave. This make it difficult to eat well. The closest place to get nice food is city centre and after getting the food, u can't keep till evening cos its going to get cold and no way to microwave the food
- Pedro (6/5): Pleasant - Clean good size room Bathroom's ight didn't work
Bedroom's door unlockable
- Teresa (6/5): Extremely basic - Great location, had a kettle but no milk or coffee to make anything Location
- Ashton (1/5): I will not be coming back. - Not sure. My bedroom door did not lock, the sheets were stained, and there was still hair on the sheets. I couldn’t sleep properly as i was constantly waking up in fear of someone having opened my bedroom door due to the latch on the door to the room not working. I messaged the property but they did not continue to conversation but I hope that no one else has to go through what I did.
- David (1/5): Shut the place down it is a complete dive - Avoid, makes Bates Motel look appealing.
Terrible customer service
- James (4/5): Great Bed Owner Fast responding but failed in other areas - The bed When arriving no key to get in had to call the owner. Shower really small could hardly fit init, the tiles need regrouting as they where marked , loo had hairs on it
I asked if there was a kettle which owner got back to me and said there was but in fact there wasn't (had to use the coffee maker) the coffee maker had no instructions and wasted 4 pods before I figured it out

Advertised as with toiletries but there is none...
Advertised as with a T.V, which it has but has no antenna or Internet connection and is totally useless, might aswell be a painting on the wall
