Guest Reviews
- Penny (8/5): Cosy little cottage - The location was lovely. Cottage could do with a little tlc but had everything we needed and was warm and plenty of hot water. The plastic draining board was dirty.
- Judith (10/5): Fabulous Twixmas Break in cosy lakeside cottage - Comfortable, cosy, well equipped TV signal can be intermittent
- Paul (9/5): A hot, but lovely stay. - Courtyard backed on to Broads. Location lovely. No fans in property or air conditioning.
- Elizabete (10/5): -
- Robin (8/5): Lovely stay, decent weather and comfy accommodation - Lovely location.....easy to reach places we wanted to visit Internet, phone and TV signals frequently dropped out but not a major issue
- Lindsey (9/5): Smashing 👍😃 - Excellent location, comfortable cottage, just the job! ! Poor WiFi a bit of a nuisance
- Keith (8/5): Comfortable countryside retreat. - Well-appointed kitchen. Very comfortable double bed. Cupboard / wardrobe space used for towels, bedding etc. in double room and so not available to us. Would be a considerable problem with more than 2 visitors.
- David (5/5): short stay was enough. WiFi was poor & no key code for front door caused problem - Location was quiet but a long way from shops etc. The house is quite small for a group of people i.e. three
- Mark (10/5): Gatekeepers cottage - Lovely peaceful location ideal location as not too far from seaside towns and lots of local attractions The property is very comfortable and quiet with lovely pond in back garden there were fears wandering every morning and ducks at the door creator to the owner suck a lovely place would definitely stop again
- Erin (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Very good and stay again -
- Sonia (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (10/5): Beautiful cottage, definitely recommend. Would stay again. - The cottage was lovely, on such beautiful grounds. The place smelt great as soon as we walked through the door & it was perfectly clean throughout. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. There were games in the living room to use & plenty of books to read if you wanted to. There is a lovely private patio area to sit at, which we did most evenings for dinner with a lovely view of the lake. The surrounding area is beautiful & a perfect break away from reality. Internet signal was non-existent & the WiFi worked for 2 of the 4 nights we were there. This isn't a major as we were out all day, but being there on my own with my children, I couldn't call out in an emergency if needed. Obviously, my phone provider is clearly rubbish, but with no WiFi either, I couldn't even look up a local shop.
Blinds in the front bedroom may be worth a shout, as it gets very bright there in the mornings & maybe a blind at the kitchen window for privacy.
Even with these small "moans," we loved it here & would definitely book to stay here again.
- Victoria (9/5): Superb -
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good - The most perfect location, lake close to the cottage with plenty of wildlife. We saw a kingfisher one evening.
- Thomas (10/5): Calm peaceful and relaxing location. - Clean well presented property, with comfortable beds. Kitchen modern and had all utensils required. Lovely location by a fishing pond.
- Steve (8/5): Nice Location - Location was close enough to enjoy visits to the beach with Grandson. The outlook over the lake was pleasant, and if people like was good for fishing as some people did.
- Helen (9/5): Great stay, comfortable and good location for travelling around the area. - Comfortable double bed, quiet, well equipped, clean.
- Judith (9/5): Lovely position with fishing and wildlife - The location and the cleanliness There was no welcoming pack or pits of soap. The coffee machine was useless has we bought nespresso pods but they did not fit. The very disappointing thing was there was no washing machine and it cost a fortune to do one load of washing in the communal washing place, and we needed to buy washing powder.. I think due to this there should be extra towels .
- Sonia (8/5): Very good -
- Szczepan (9/5): Superb - Good location. Tidy place.
- Emily (10/5): Lovely Stay - Friendly host, happy to answer questions. Beautiful property with all your home comforts Everything was just right
- Anonymous (8/5): We had a great time at the gatekeepers cottage and would recommend staying. - There was plenty of space and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. We weren’t to far away from many beautiful beaches and the area was very peaceful and quiet. The children loved the geese. We were disappointed that the actual cottage didn’t have a washing machine as stated and the tv signal was bad that it wasn’t worth turning on at times.
- Fiona (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - The photos do not do this lovely property justice! The well equipped kitchen is compact and well designed with a great oven and induction hob. The beds are super comfortable with decent mattresses. We loved the rural setting and the gorgeous views out to the fishing lake. There is an on-site laundrette which is very inexpensive to use. We were super impressed with how responsive and helpful the owner was to a couple of messages we sent. The location is great with super easy access to the coast and The Broads. Nothing - I highly, highly recommend this property
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - We liked everything about the cottage, have stayed here previously and was just as good as before. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage with everything we needed, clean, great base for day trips and we loved the ducks saying good morning every day There wasn't anything to dislike
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (10/5): Fantastic Holiday home in fantastic Holiday location - Location was lovely.......Roomy for a 2 bed cottage
Everything you could need in the accommodation and close to Beach and other Broadland amenities. No issues at all
- Suet (9/5): Superb - cosy, clean, comfortable beds. washing machine is outside the property and it is not free of charge.
- Annie (10/5): Great stay - Was all very good. Don’t have any complaints
- Kelly (7/5): lovely trip though, nice location. would stay again - nice location very quiet by the lake, although stones out the front are quite noisy when people are walking backwards and forward and cars parking. the property we stayed in was not the one we had booked due to double booking however it was lovely and had everything we needed. main bedroom bed was very comfortable! the toilet seat was broken so kept sliding to one side, the cottage we stayed in was in a row and there appeared to be people who knew each other on either sides of us so they were constantly walking past our property which became a bit annoying after a while.
