Guest Reviews
- Margaret (1/5): - Nothing Lack of cleanliness. Broken blinds. Hole in bedroom door. Cracked toilet seat. Dirty cutlery. Fly screen held together with duct tape.
- Kathryn (4/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): -
- David (1/5): Non existant!! - The fact that the day I was arriving they rang and cancelled my stay.
- Margaret (6/5): In desperate need of renovation - Self catering apartment Very tired & needs a lot of renovations. I was missing the front off drawers in the kitchen & lace curtains were full of dust. With a complete overall these apartments would be great
- Paul (8/5): A no frills reasonable priced stay. - Value for money for a family stay plenty of room. Main bed wasn’t very comfortable at all.
- Kathryn (9/5): -
- Gen (8/5): Spacious, comfortable and clean apartments in good quiet location - A lot is great about the apartments - plenty of room, two bedrooms, full kitchen and cooking facilities, full size new fridge and plenty of tea and coffee. Very comfortable throughout and the bed was excellent. Bathroom was very spacious, heating and hot water great. Apartments are well set out, so there is plenty of privacy. Location is good, a short drive from the shopping centre and near the airport if you like planes and gliders. Is opposite the hospital, which is always good. It is a great place to base yourself for a few days sightseeing in the town and surrounds - Glenrowan, wineries and Winton Wetlands worth exploring.
I recommend the apartments for space, comfort, the cooking facilities and location. However, property looks dated, maybe from the 1980s and is looking rather tired externally, but must have been very nice in its day. Just needs some money spent on care and attention and it could be that again. One of the two kitchen hotplates barely worked. The garden and grounds look neglected and full of weeds in many parts. Keeping the grounds free of weeds would be well worth it to lift the presentation of the property. The BBQ area did not look very inviting. Reception was closed on arrival and departure, during stated opening hours.
- Brian (8/5): -
- Melanie (10/5): Everything you need in one place! Great stay - Great location great price had every thing a family needs for weekend away from home
- Melanie (10/5): Great stay - Everything
- Justin (4/5): - Reception was polite and friendly. Room was clean Feels very run down. In desperate need of a makeover. Damage and holes in walls. Couch has rips and poor condition. Very dated. Feels like it's stuck 20 years in the past.
- Adam (4/5): Save your money stay somewhere else - The Ac workers Potholes in the driveway, no soap , scratches all over the walls
- Ricky (8/5): it did the job perfectly - It was in a convenient spot, the right price, good size and clean all good
- Jennifer (7/5): We just needed 1 night accommodation to go to a friends party. It was good value, and well located for us. It looks ti - It was close to where we needed to be, it was clean & comfortable enough for one night. It looks run down from the outside
- Heidi (8/5): - Spacious, comfy beds, new carpet, clean pool. A bit tired looking and garden overgrown, but comfortable accommodation.
- Dijana (7/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect - Room size was great. Everything we needed was in the room. I wasn’t just a room lounge area and kitchen. Very quiet comfortable stay. Will come back. Thank you Perhaps a little tired. However looks like the owners have recently replaced the roof. These things take time and money. Having mentioned this it certainly would not change the fact that we would definitely stay again.
- Peter (4/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): - The apartment size was very generous. Great having laundry facilities available. Kitchen was well supplied.
- Geoffrey (7/5): We only stayed briefly for the one night; price seemed high, but could be OK for longer stay. - Did not have breakfast. Location chosen as near friends we were visiting. The facilities are quite good, but gardening needs some attention for weeding. Otherwise the gardens and outdoors are quite a delight, as was the pool - beautifully clean. The bed was quite comfortable, linen was scrupulously clean, and the kitchenette was well supplied with all the basics. The lounge is a most comfortable space and set up with air-con and space heater, and modern TV. Garden maintenance seemed lacking - a pity since the garden flora demonstrate some initial great care and imagination in the establishment thereof. The car park area had a couple of nasty potholes which could be a trap in the dark. The insect screens in the combined bathroom/toilet/laundry had patched-up holes, which is fine but realistically a temporary fix. Also some damage to the bedroom door panel (which was not a problem, just looked "off") and the venetian blinds need replacement.
- Debra (7/5): - The grounds badly need some TLC Overgrown with weeds We were happy with the cleanliness of the room but again very worn and tired
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Anne (7/5): Good - A lot of work needs to be done..but unit was comfortable. Maintaining property in gardens and carports..
Inside units needs work, but was comfortable for 7 nights
- Boppa (6/5): - Plenty of room Property tired and run down
- Md Zakir (5/5): -
- Colinda (4/5): -
- Vanessa (6/5): It is cheap but you get what you pay for. Staff are very friendly and helpful. - Location to Winton Raceway. Could self cater if we wanted to. 2bedroom apartments suited our group. Very run down. No upkeep on property is evident. One apartment was dusty, the other had lots of dust on air vents. Found a couple of spiders, one on bed, one on couch. But basically the rooms were clean, comfortable and all linen and towels are fresh and in good condition.
- Phillip (10/5): -
- Pascali (8/5): Holiday Away - The room was big and had a spacious bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The pool was added bonus although it had a lot of stuff in it and definitely could of used a good clean but it was still nice to dip into for a swim. Pool wasn't really clean and had a lot of floating material, leaves etc.
- Patricia (8/5): - Comfortable unit, good mattress. Clean and had everything we needed
The staff were very helpful. The grounds are very neglected, lots of weeds in the garden beds. It gave a poor first impression.
- Guest (10/5): -
- Mick (8/5): - good location
- Russell (10/5): - Everything No bedroom tv
- Liz (8/5): -
- Kim (9/5): - Well equipped clean and comfortable The garden court yard needed attention
Weeding and a general tidy up

- Guest (9/5): - Location was good. Nothing
- Ding (8/5): Stay was good spacious and quiet, the furniture was bit outdated but worth the price. - The rooms were great a bit older and could use some modernising. However overall was spacious and temperature was reasonable. The unit was nice and quiet and just a little off the main street of town. The kitchen was bit outdated. It looks like the management/owners have either recently bought the place or something as their knowledge and experience seemed to be a little lacking. However, they were friendly. Coming back to the experience it seems like they don't have a proper lost and found procedure. We'd left some clothes at the premise potentially bundled with the quilting. We had to called up with the people telling us they would call us back. They didn't and we followed up again to be told they don't have it. Which was odd as the first call the lady had asked us whether it was a black shirt before we had even advised the colour. While not their fault that I left them item it was frustrating that they didn't have a procedure in place for lost property.
- Pip (7/5): We were very comfy. - No breakfast with this booking. The property was good but it is showing its age and needs a bit of tlc, especially in the gardens and maybe a good pressure clean outside.
- ASIVOROSI (10/5): -
- kaye (9/5): Good place to stay - Rooms were clean, had new furniture and carpets. Good size fridge and outdoor bbq. In summer it would be a great place to sit and lounge by the pool. Off the main road so not noisy and close to the centre of town. Would recommend
- Luke (9/5): - Good location and large size room, great heating
- Julie (6/5): Our stay was just okay. - Kitchen set up offered more than standard motel room. Microwave good for heating a take away meal. Crockery cutlery etc.
Beds very comfortable. Smart Tv with Netflix ( free )
Heating did the job on a cold night. Dining chairs and couches were not comfortable.
Curtain in main bedroom did not fit the window, woke very early.
Surrounding garden area needs some care and attention.
I hope this is constructive criticism to the owner who was pleasant on arrival.
- Arshdeep (3/5): Basically, we were unsatisfied with the Clinic and the way of staff dealing. - Location is good nearby all the shops. It looks like hygiene not good for babies to sit on the carpet and I’m gonna attach a few photos for the cleaning utensils were not properly washed. Toilet was already urinated and just reasonable quality of utensils when we report to the staff about the utensils have wine bugs in it and then staff replied us may you have used the utensils🙂
- Gail (8/5): Enjoyed our stay there we have been coming for the last 4 years and will be coming back again. - No breakfast included, Location is great, beds are very comfortable. Rooms are lovely and each time we go they are getting a spruce up. Stove/Oven is very old for a 2 bedroom apartment something a bit larger would be better but we managed ok. Our unit was supposed to have 2 double beds but it had 1 double and 2 single beds in the other room.

- Johanna (8/5): Dont be fooled by the daggy exterior, its been refurbished and very comfortable . - Furniture brand new , freshly painted and well equipped. Outside exterior daggy and run down.

- Julie (8/5): -
- Melanie (8/5): -
- Lyndal (8/5): - Great quiet location. Spacious apartment Kitchen needs a proper oven/ hotplates and would be brilliant
- Ken (9/5): Good value for money] - Easy parking with trailer and have stayed there before Nothing really

- Sally-Anne (9/5): A great choice in Benalla. Will be back! - Staying in Benalla for a sprint event at Winton. Had not stayed here previously and was pleasantly surprised. Arrived in the cold dark and wet. Person at Reception was welcoming and i found my room easily. When I walked in it was cold, but the heating worked really well, and there was also an electric blanket. In no time it was warm. A very easy place to stay with some undercover parking for a car. There was a small pot hole in the side carpark, nothing major.
- Jason (8/5): -
- Christine (9/5): -
- Craig (7/5): Fits our needs very well - Location is great and it is very quiet. I do feel some of the rooms are getting a little tired in terms of blinds etc so a bit of updating needed but its very quiet and comfortable I do think some of the rooms need updating a little
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment was comfortable and spacious and had pretty much everything you need.
- Ted (9/5): Superb -
- Tait (6/5): Pleasant - Hot water system only good for two showers despite sleeping 4. Said they'd charge you if you didnt wash your own dishes. Place is very tired.
- Julie (2/5): Not very comfortable and wouldn't stay there again. There are better options in Benalla. - Stayed for one night for work and found the apartment to be not clean, rundown and dated. Surfaces were sticky and it felt like it needed a good clean. Bathroom bin rusted at bottom - doesn't cost much to buy a new bin. Surfaces were sticky and felt unclean. Tiles, curtains and kitchen all very outdated. A TV could be added to the bedroom(s).
- Elizabeth (10/5): Happy Little Hideaway - It wasn't the first time we stayed, and it won't be the last. This is our "go-to" place to stay when in Benalla.
It had everything we needed. The room was comfortable and warm, which was really appreciated considering the nights were below zero outside.
Location is close enough to Safeway, Aldi, Macca's and KFC, to be convenient without being directly on the main road.
. I know everyone has something that they won't like. Yes it's a bit dated, but no complaints here. Suits our needs.
- Ywa (10/5): Exceptional - place was clean have wifi/Netflix couldn't be more happier.. love the place. Oh... maybe the hair dryer could be update?
- Adele (8/5): Great location and comfortable accommodation. - The apartment was clean and comfortable. Everything functioned and the bathroom was a good size. Loved the high ceilings and thick curtains. Easy access to central Benalla and good parking. Would have preferred a smaller frypan and pots instead of an electric frypan.
- Bruce (8/5): Very good -
- Adrien (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (7/5): Good - Lovely big rooms, basic, but very clean and terrific for 2 night stay Once the managers have time, it would be nice if they could improve on the outdoor aspect- gardens are looking very sad etc and with this tidied up, the place would be terrific.
- Sharon (8/5): Room to move - Very spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed including a washing machine and dryer. Close to town. Had a couple of teething problems on arrival but the host was quick to respond and provide a workaround. Cleaning lady also very pleasant. Good value for money. Would stay again. Needs some general maintenance and a spruce up.
- Anonymous (8/5): management was very helpfull and friendly. - Warm & cosy & comfortable. It was a bit low on crockery and kitchen ware. Would have liked a chopping board to save the bench top and a sideplate for my toast. also a smalll plate to cover dishes in microwave to save splatter.
- Sandy (9/5): Good comfortable rooms, outside is tired and neglected. - The rooms were quite spacious. The beds were really comfortable. It was very cold but the Air conditioning kept the apartment warm. A short drive to the Main Street. The parking was a distance from the room. No parking in front of the room, we had to walk to the room. It was raining so quite uncomfortable. There was a couple of undercover parking spots, the rest was open. The grounds around the garden looked tired and unkept. The approach to the reception was dinghy and grubby outside. The reception wasn’t open when we arrived, so we phoned the number and was quite difficult to converse with the person on the line as their English was not good.
- Shona (8/5): Very good -
- Shane (8/5): Very good - Really nice sized apartment Couldn’t park the car out the front
- Glenn (7/5): Good -
- Craig (7/5): comfortable but nothing special - quiet and well located for our needs very dated
- Anonymous (3/5): Poor -
- Jubin (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (5/5): Passable - Air conditioning, lots of space, easy check-in / out Bed not at all comfy, fittings dated, shower dripped and difficult to get to right temperature
- Shirley (8/5): Very good -
- Mcdonald (8/5): Clean and comfortable accommodation for four bike packers, all needing their own bed. - Clean and comfortable accommodation for four bike packers, all needing their own bed. Nothing
