• Mark (1/5): myself and my travelling companions immediatly booked new accomodation elsewhere within 10 minutes. - I liked absolutely nothing. I didn't like absolutely everything. Primarily that it was a shared building and that the only thing keeping our privacy was a flimsy door and an even flimsier lock on said door. The booking.com description is also misleading in that it says that each room includes a bath, shower, hairdryer, and wardrobe. Absolutely all facilities are shared with strangers excluding your very own horrifically uncomfortable and barely standing bed. We all felt extremely on edge as you can hear all kinds of movement in the house in all the rooms. The beds are also incredibly loud so you can hear what everyone is up to all the time. You should only book this accomodation if you only wish to use it to sleep. It is not good for a place to sit and relax. There is no sense of comfort or safety.

• Cruz Rodriguez (1/5): Worst accommodation ever - Price & location Horribly dirty. Whoever manages this place has no idea what cleaning is. The bathrooms stink, and the beds are held together with sticks. It feels like a backpacker hostel in India, but in London. Probably the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in, and saving £50 a night is just not worth the experience.
• BRANDON (1/5): Cheap but disgusting - Good location It was dirty, red stains on the wall. Owner take days to reply. One shower and sink for 6 rooms. Really dirty found a grape and walnut seed on the floor. Room was crammed as well.

• Richard (1/5): Only stay here if you have to - Nothing Bed was broken and fixed very badly, the 1 shower bathroom was very dirty, i was in the room on the bottom floor and the stairs leading to the bathroom was very dirty, if the place got a good clean it wouldn't be so bad, my room was quite clean.

• Claudio (6/5): Decent room 5 mins walk from Brick Lane - Booked a night for Notting Hill Carnival so arrived quite late. Initially could not find the house, called the number but was asked to text instead, requested info but no reply. Had to use a different number after that codes were issued. The room was ok, shared bathroom had some hairs on the tub but clean..ish, there's a kitchen and fridge available. The garden defo needs doing. For a night just to sleep well located ( 5 mins from Brick Lane) it's ideal. I would stay again. Id rate it 5.5 out of 10.

• Sofia (6/5): Es ist okay aber etwas SEHR abgenutzt also eher zum empfehlen für eine Nacht wenn man nur dort schlafen will und das Bad - Das kleine Zimmer wo wir waren war eigentlich ganz süß die Betten waren zwar nicht die sanftesten jedoch konnte man gut auf der Matratze schlafen. Es ist nicht schlecht aber auch nicht spektakulär Die Sauberkeit in dem Badezimmern war leider nicht so gut. Es gab kein Handtuch für die Hände, kein Mülleimer im Bad (wir mussten unseren im Zimmer nehmen) und der Duschvorhang war ebenfalls dreckig was ärgerlich war. Das Wasser beim Duschen war eklig. Es hat auch nicht so gut gerochen in den Zimmern. In den Zimmern hat die oberste Schublade der Kommode gefehlt. Etwas was uns nicht gestört hat aber was wir nur interessant fanden ist das die Bilder wo man die Treppe hochgeht nicht ausgepackt sind 😂 Schade das sich nicht mal diese Mühe gemacht wurde.
• Różańska (1/5): - Niestety po przyjeździe na miejsce zastaliśmy pokój w stanie nie do przyjęcia- nieposprzątany, pościel nie była zmieniona po poprzednich gościach... drzwi od łazienki nie zamykały się, a ogólna czystość pozostawiała wiele do życzenia, co było bardzo niekomfortowe. W cały mieszkaniu unosił się nieprzyjemny zapach. Próbowaliśmy się skontaktować z gospodarzem ale niestety bezskutecznie. Ostatecznie musieliśmy szukać innego noclegu. Zdecydowanie nie polecamy!

• Mitu (7/5): Good - I had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, and the check-in process was smooth. The host/staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again! The only issue I had was the bed — it was quite noisy and made sounds whenever I moved, which made it a bit hard to sleep comfortably. I hope this can be fixed for future guests. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

• Annica (1/5): Bad - The location. I was extremely disappointed with the room provided, as it was significantly smaller than advertised. The lack of proper ventilation made it very uncomfortable—there was only a small desk fan, which was completely ineffective in cooling the space. Additionally, the kitchen facilities were substandard. The kettle was heavily coated with limescale, making it entirely unsuitable for use and raising hygiene concerns. This experience fell far short of expectations, and I would appreciate it if appropriate steps could be taken to address these issues.

We had to call them multiple times to get the keys from the other locker box. While the bedroom was clean, the bathroom was different matter. Bath mats were dirty, the shower was broken and leaking. Alongside this there was no hot water. It was completely unusable.

• Aleksandra (9/5): Pleasant stay in a nice location - Nice clean room, lots of storage space, VERY comfortable bed, perfect location close to the City, quiet area (you can't hear any noise from main street). There are lots of shops and eateries within a short walking distance. Several kids' play areas nearby was a bonus too (I was travelling with my child). Overall, excellent value for money! The shared bathroom was dated, it definitely needs refurbishment. The walls of the room are thin, but fortunately the neighbours were quiet

• Miqe27 (4/5): Disappointing - The location is excellent, right in the Brick Lane area. Having a kitchen was useful. It was quiet and flexible in terms of check-in time. Honestly, almost everything else. The place was very dirty — not filthy as in not cleaned, but full of dust everywhere. I have allergies and it was awful. Radiators were covered in dust, corners of the room and under the bed were disgusting. Only 1 bathroom for 6 rooms — that’s just not acceptable. The vibe was weird. Most guests seemed like they lived there (e.g. Just Eat drivers, which is fine, but felt very random). They had odd schedules, didn’t greet or interact (a lot of them seemed to be Arabic men), and the house constantly smelled to curry.... every time Walls were made of paper. You could hear absolutely everything, not just room to room but also from above and below. And the worst part — Room D — the bed was terrible. Super old mattress that sunk in the middle, back pain guaranteed. And the bed frame was even worse — squeaky as hell, so noisy you couldn’t move without waking up the person next to you. No real contact with any host or staff. No one checked in with us, which I would’ve appreciated just to ask for an extra blanket. There wasn’t one in the closet and only a thin duvet on the bed. Overall: absolutely wouldn’t stay here again. The area is great, but this place was a disaster.
• Katerina (1/5): The worst possible experience - never go there if you care about safety. - IT IS NOT POSSITIVE. DONT EVER GO THERE. THIS IS AN AWFUL PLACE. The only ones that have the codes for the front door are the guests in the place and the only ones that have the codes for our two rooms were my family that we stayed there. That could only mean that either there was a robber in the place or that the codes were intentionally provided by the owner. He was uninterested in helping us and he didnt answear to most my text. WHAT KIND OF HOST DOES THAT. He said that none of the other guest complained about anything, but in the next morning tha guy next to our room on the second floor said that he couldntn sleep too because something was going on, the place was disgusting and he heard a lot of noise During my so called "stay"at this hole that is called accomodation, named "Spitalfields Rooms" , there was the scariest thing that we have ever experienced. We have stayed in other simmilar places in which you have one room that is locked by code and you use common bathroom and kitchen with strangers. BUT THIS ....... We closed our eyes at the fact that that place was extremelly dirty, it was like nothing was cleaned for weeks. It had a really gross smell around the entire building but mostly the sheets. They reeked of sweat and were gross to sleep at. The bathroom was not cleaned in a looooong time. It had some slimy thing in the bathtub, the floors were dirty. It was not sanitary at all. But we managed to deal with it and didnt create a big fuss. The walls were extremelly thin and we could hear what everyone was talking from all the rooms. The whole night there was walking around the house and they were talking loudly the entire time. THE FIRST NIGHT someone barged in the middle of the night into my mother and brother rooms. I was in the room right above my family's one and i woke up by my mother screaming "Who are you? ". They told me that he left immediately. This all happened around 40 minutes past midnight. My mother was so scared that she couldnt move for few minutes and was trembling. We waited until the sun rises to pack our bags and leave from this hole. I wrote the owner but nothing. He told us "next time something like this happens againg tell me" DO YOU UNDERSTAND that the least that could happen is to be robbed... we could have been killed, raped, injured.... and what if me and my mother decided to stick with the plan of sleeping in one room and the boys to sleep in another. We could have been kidnapped, raped, they could have touched us. And if it was a mother and a baby?????

We could have been kidnapped, raped, they could have touched us. And if it was a mother and a baby????? . My mother wakes up in the middle of the night every day since this night. She has nightmares and screams in her sleep. She is trying to not thing about it but how could she not????
• Elisabetta (1/5): do not book a stay in this place - There is nothing to like about this place. It is unsafe and dirty The room did not match what was advertisted. It was derelict and dirty. Most importantly, the location is very unsafe, especially for female travellers. The owners were rough and refused to engage with my complaint. Booking.com has no accountability policy, so if you happen to book this place, you are on your own with your safety

• Md (6/5): Fair enough - The location was great. We stayed there 26 Feb -28 Feb. The expense was fair enough. Room was clean and self check in. Also communicating with them for any facilities difficult, because they're invisible and they can't really help. I called for an adapter whether they have it somehow in the apartment, and they said they will call me back, but still now no😃(1 month gone). So If you're visiting from outside the UK, just take triple hole adapter with you. Apartment was quiet and nicely organised. Just on the checked out day, we had to leave at sharp 11. We did 5 minutes delay, and the cleaning lady became rude. Overall it was average service.

• Carla (6/5): Good for a few nights but be careful - The room was nice for a few nights but not for longer stays. You can hear everything and the space is very tiny, the rooms are clean but the house is old and some areas like the radiators in the bathrooms are full of dust. Also we only got one towel and we had bad luck with the people because they took our food from the fridge. However the worst part about the stay was the feeling of not being completely safe because our room was in the base floor with a door easily accessible from outside (if someone wants to force it) and also as nobody checks you in nor out, they have keys in a quite noticeably locked box outside and there are so so many that if you take one and keep it for yourself no one would notice it. The best thing about these apartments is the location, they are very close to the Whitechapel metro and you can easily go to the centre. You will not find anything like this for this price in London.

• Mark (2/5): Disappointing - Stain on the bed other than that the room was clean enough. The bathroom however was disgusting - grime and dirt left after other users and just a mass of half used toiletries of different types. Noise all night , I barely got any sleep. Banging sounds, people slamming doors and at one point someone came in shouting on the phone or something. I tried to sleep in the afternoon also to be woken by the housekeeper

• Enrica (7/5): Mah - The location was good, close to the metro station. The kitchen was equipped, which was convenient for cooking and there was a hairdryer available in the room. The room was very small, and the bed was extremely hard, making it suitable only for short stays unless you want back pain. The cleanliness could have been better, and having only one full bathroom for five rooms is not ideal. While we had no issues in the area, it didn’t feel very safe.
• Máté (4/5): Budget friendly option. - Only a 15 minute walk from the center and very easy to access. Good if you only want to sleep there and dont care about anything else. Apart from the bed, which was very clean and comfortable, all the other facilities (kitchen, bathroom) were dirty. The walls are made of paper, i could here another guest snoring downstairs.
• Kaiyuan (6/5): mediocre - good location, acceptable price, two toilets, relatively well equipped kitchen The most ridiculous things is that when I moved in at night after the new year eve, the key for the front door at the lock box is unavailable and it was taken out by someone, and when I called all the four phone numbers provided by the property one by one, nobody answer the phone. So I almost locked outside and I prepared to spend a night at underground station, fortunately a tenant went to toilet at that time when I knocked the door so I could come in. That burden should not be shared by tenants and it should be the responsibility of the business owner

The property was absolutely filthy, with dust everywhere. The kitchen was completely unusable—dirty dishes, glasses, and a refrigerator that stank horribly. There was no sink or bin in the toilet, which is basic and expected in any accommodation. To make things worse, it was super noisy at all times, making it impossible to relax. Someone kept knocking on the main door early in the morning, adding to the overall disturbance. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and creaked with every movement, leading to sleepless nights. The Wi-Fi, which was advertised as available, didn’t work at all. This stay was beyond disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. Avoid at all costs!
