This spot is absolute perfection. - Well appointed, the bed was incredibly comfortable, beautiful views out of each of the windows. It was in a fascinating area and we wish we could have stayed longer! Host was very responsive.
• Michelle (10/5): Perfect spot for a stay in Calcata. - It was very cosy, comfortable bed , had a beautiful view and right in the village. So many restaurants and shops right there and can easily hike into Valle de Treja. Owners gave great directions for parking and how to get into the village. They were there to meet us and to take us to our room.

• Rene (10/5): De locatie, de gastheer alles klopte. Prijs / kwaliteit verhouding buitengewoon goed. - Tijdens mijn fietstocht vanuit amsterdam naar Rome was dit veruit de meest mooie en idyllische locatie van de hele reis. Kan niets verzinnen.

• Anna (10/5): Un tuffo nel passato - Avevamo bisogno di staccare dalla vita frenetica della città, smanettando su Internet abbiamo scoperto Calcata e Officina Alchemica. Che dire, tutto ha superato le nostre aspettative, sembra di vivere in un’epoca remota, dove la pace, il silenzio e le piccole cose diventano la sostanza della quotidianità. Consiglio vivamente a chi vuole ritrovare pace e quiete questo posto fuori dal mondo.

• Misha (10/5): - The place was giving you vibe of medieval cozy living. We didn't want to book some modern place, but place that gives you the atmosphere of medieval Calcata at it's best. The Host where really friendly and had a fantastic shop of natural and herbal perfume, oil and other. I highly recommend for best and authentic experience!

• caterina (6/5): Bene ma non benissimo - La posizione dell'appartamento e' sicuramente suggestiva. L'interno e' stato riadattato in maniera originale utilizzando materiali semplici (anche fin troppo). Non mi piace il self-checking perché non entri in contatto con il posto. L'appartamento va bene per il pernotto di un giorno ma non e' adatto per cucinare e mangiare (cosa che generalmente cerchiamo) . Avrei trovato volentieri una bottiglia di acqua fresca in frigo, benissimo quella del rubinetto.

• Erhard (10/5): Exceptional - A perfect accommodation that pulls you out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The old town of Calcata is very small, beautiful, and full of charm. Everything is just a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Surprisingly, there are plenty of dining options in the area. Everyone we met was very kind. The view is breathtaking. The bed is comfortable, and the apartment is well-equipped and tastefully furnished. Perfect. -

• Valther (10/5): Dream apartment in the dream City - Fantastic little rustic apartment in the historical center of old Calcata. I enjoyed it so much and would love to go back soon Everything was perfect. There's nothing negative to say about this beautiful place.
• Tõnis (10/5): Exceptional - For me it was a dream come true, to stay a birthday in an ancient mountain village in the middle of nature. The small apartment has an authentic historic feel, excellent views of the wild valley and a touch of living at an alchemist's, with all the details and dried plants floating around. The weather was cold and rainy during my stay, but the long hikes in the valley and climbing to the castle ruins on the opposite side of the valley compensated it all in heaps. I'm very happy the property was available during my trip. The managers are very helpful, you feel very private, but when needed, they're always around. Don't forget to visit her Botanist shop next door! Nothing really. there's nothing to complain about.

• Claire (8/5): Very good - .clean....tidy...comfortable bed..decor....views.. wouldn't be "don't like" ...more personal pref... more up front info on restaurants discounts. eating in "the. cave." what is that?? ..a map with wording on...better idea on parking......as you loose signal....if said...walk through main gate...up hill through tunnell...to square...turn right....would be helpful .. being told the arfternoon on the day you arrive isn't good for planning...for example we had already booked to eat... unloading the car at the gate....for me I would'nt leave my hubby to go off and park alone...he would get lost....lol....not your issue but just a view to condlsider also 3pm check in....if you arrive early..you have to park up...walk to town...go back to car up hill in 40degrees...no fun lol...maybe be a little more flexible? a headboard would be better with stone wall and brick dust... no shops so bear in mind people also need to carry food and water... and an adaptor to be able to use the kettle and hairdryer....they are two big for sockets.. as I say preference not dis-likes.... just some better comm's the photos look like to have a door out to seating but you don't..its down the front of the room..out the front door....where visitors also have access to walk down....

• Price (10/5): A 16th centuary escape - Such a beautiful place tucked away in Calcata Vecchia, very peaceful and it really did feel almost as if you were living as they would back in the 16th centuary there! Federico and Kristina have created a really beautiful guest house, there are so many amazing little details that just make this place magical! A bit difficult to find the door to the guest house at first

• Chad (8/5): Whimsical stay with great views and an ancient allure. - The location is wonderful. In the heart of Calcatta. So no driving to the room😅. Well appointed and nicely done - it has all one needs for a brief trip. The location and whimsical nature of the place is really the selling point. The views are also spectacular. The room is small, with everything in the single room. But then appreciate that you are staying in a very old place.
