Guest Reviews
- Declan (7/5): - It's a nice accessible place. Close to the beach. The bed in the main bedroom is un level like there is 1 wheel/caster missing
- jon (1/5): Dirty and not good at all - Location Everything
- Scott (8/5): - The beds was comfortable and clean inside. Ensuite sink sadly was leaking from behind the tap, the shower in the ensuite had no pressure and the bathshower temperature dial is broken and cant turn the temperature down or up
- Joanne (6/5): -
- Marylou (5/5): -
- Amy (10/5): We will be back again for sure ! Great accommodation and location. - Great location ( literally 5 mins to the beach) . Great size ! Everything we needed was there I was suprised by the reviews about lack of kitchen equipment etc as it was well stocked with everything we needed. Lovely garden space. The shower in the main bathroom we couldn’t use as it was boiling and no way to change the temperature.
Wasn’t aware until arrival we pay £100 incase of damages, I did receive this back once we had checked out but I wasn’t aware beforehand maybe that just needs to be made clearer.
- Kate (8/5): - Great location and really good value, overall a great place to stay Dishwasher was broken and there wasn't enough cups, glasses, bowls or plates
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing best time away kids loved it xx - Big and clean The showers was really hard to set at right temperture to hot or to cold
- Priya (8/5): Hoping they make a few minor changes / upgrades before we book again - The staff is excellent. Rajat is super helpful The washing machine did not work. The kitchen wasn't well stocked. The main bathroom had bad temp control for the water.
- Faruk (8/5): - Everything was excellent The heating
- jaspreet (10/5): -
- Laurren (5/5): - Many bedrooms and the house is so big . No heating system
- Georgie (1/5): Rubbish and would avoid at all cost - Not much It was dirty, staff were rude, got told I need to pay a £100 deposit when I arrived but no where on the website did it mention that, to be told I’d get it back within 5 days, it’s now been nearly 2 weeks with no communication.
- Luke (5/5): A great house to stay in but just not looked after unfortunately which really lets it down. - Great location next to the seafront. All the rooms were great sizes. The ensuite shower took about 10mins to heat up and still only trickled out.
The bathroom shower only had one heat setting of boiling hot so couldn't be used.
The kitchen was very poorly equipped. Minimal cutlery, no chopping knives. The dishwasher was broken on the bottom rail and filthy.
The bowls were tiny so we had to get some from the hotel.
There is a leak in the kitchen coming through the back door.
Neither bathrooms or kitchen had any hand soap.
Parking is ridiculously expensive. £70 for 5 nights. No surprise every guest parked on the road.
No house instructions regards anything. Still trying to chase the business invoice in which booking.com are chasing now of the property as they deem it is not their responsibility.
- Kimberley (2/5): - It was a nice size house. We booked the property in December when it was winter. On arrival we found the boiler to be broken meaning there was no heating and the house was freezing. There had been a few tiny plug in heaters put in a few of the rooms but they were not adaquet for the size of the rooms or how many rooms there were. We tried contacting the host and had no response. We also notified the hotel where we collected the keys from, who told us they would bring over more heaters which they then failed to do. Clearly the host knew there was no heating before our arrival due to the shoddy small heaters the had placed in the property. We all spent the evening freezing whilst we were at the property. Thankfully we only stayed one night and went to enjoy the Christmas Market for a large part of the evening.
- emma (7/5): -
- Una (6/5): Nice area and good space for family break - Lovely big rooms, lots of space, a little cold in the living rooms but heaters provided and warmed up ok Shower in bathroom was too hot to shower and couldn’t adjust the temperature
No bread knives
No microwave
Only one fork
- Peter (1/5): Not very good - No heating throughout
Smelt like death
Couldn’t get comfortable
- Navjot (10/5): -
- Krystle (2/5): Very disappointing, pleased we only had one night here. - The location of the property is good and the check in process was straight forward The house has a very musty smell and decor is shabby. The heating wasn’t working and we weren’t pre warned about this, I have arthritis and the cold affects me terribly, although the host had put heaters in the house they were not sufficient, we should have been told about this before our arrival so we could have decided if we wanted to continue with our stay. The temperature knob on the shower in the main bathroom was broken and the temp was jammed onto boiling hot so couldn’t be used, the shower in the en suite took forever to warm up and was barely a trickle. The downstairs toilet was blocked. There were no forks and the kitchen has seen better days. Cleaning standards were not very good, sinks not cleaned properly and mould on the windows. All in all a very disappointing stay.
- Sandra (6/5): Good - Very well located and very spacious property It wasn’t very clean at all and had a smell in kitchen it’s needs a complete decoration it’s very basic but serviceable
- Denilson (9/5): -
- Jandira (9/5): -
- Carrie (8/5): - Parking available on site, location near to everything you need for a short break. Plenty of space if you have little ones. The down stairs toilet was blocked and 2 bedrooms have small windows but no curtains, this allowed alot of light in.
- Kiran (10/5): -
- Donna (7/5): - Good location. Can be noisy with lorries early am.
- Brooks (7/5): The house is very big and spacious in an ideal location, just needs a little work done inside the property. - The property was really big very spacious and location was ideal. Needs decorating, cold at night didn’t know how to work the heating and hot water wasn’t consistent.
- Aiswarya (8/5): -
- Moshe (1/5): - The central heating was broken. It was end of December. Very cold. Manager told us had broken previous day so couldnt tell us. This was a lie was broken since mid October.
- Yvonne (3/5): Don’t go here in winter when it’s cold as boiler doesn’t work. - Large size, location Central heating boiler broken and whilst some small electric radiators were provided they didn’t manage to heat the large rooms at all. It was freezing! One shower only had scolding hot water, cold tsp didn’t work, other one only just got warm. Only had a blanket on the beds so very cold at night.
- Rich (1/5): I think I’ve said everything above. If your the manager or owner of this place you might want to be more upfront, spend - Not a lot really. Just about managed to park. Most of it tbh. I have contacted the owner/manager via booking app twice with a formal complaint and requesting a full refund. That place is not fit for purpose. No central heating which explains why the boiler has stickers all over it basically condemning it. The bedrooms upstairs were Baltic. Couple that with the fact you want a nice warm shower in the morning and your two options are scalding hot shower no1 then you cannot stand underneath or your skin will melt off. Or there’s shower no2, which you would need to do a rain dance under to will the water out. Absolutely shocking me and my mates had to stay in there and pay. Quite disgusted with the stay in all honesty!
- Prab (4/5): Uncomfortably cold. - The house was a good size. The heating was not working and a notice on the boiler to advise the boiler doesn’t work. The house was freezing and the tiny free standing oil radiators were less than adequate.
- Rafael (8/5): -
- Fi (10/5): - Fantastic property for the price we paid, very close to the Beach and would certainly return.
Big thank you to Rajat for being incredibly helpful.
- Toni (1/5): - Nice sized house Boiler broke. No heating. Fridge had awful smell. Couldn't change temp on one shower and other shower had no water pressure.
- Kevin (1/5): -
- Mia (9/5): -
- Francesca (3/5): COLD - Easy collection of the keys and the place was large The boiler was not working and had a note on it saying ‘faulty’. They provided heaters that produced inadequate heat so the property was freezing! The night time was freezing and obviously you cannot use the heaters over night due to fire risk. The taps did not work until we got someone to come round and fix it. Some of the bins were not cleaned out and you could tell the property did not have a prior clean. The property also did not remove the accounts from the tv and what was in there was quite frankly disturbing. You are also unable to contact the property, the hotel who hands you the keys deal with absolutely nothing. When we asked for a property contact, the email address provided was invalid and the number associated with the property is not for the property! They are now not responding to booking.com for a refund. Don’t book here, it’s not worth it.
- June (4/5): Maybe only stay in the summer the property is beautiful, but it was just a disappointment - N/A The property was extremely cold no central heating. The small Heaters that was provided was not big enough for the rooms. We were very cold. Didn’t sleep as it was too cold. The Boiler was faulty
- Peter (3/5): Very old building in desperate need of maintenance of what should be great facilities. Cheap though. - The place is cheap compared to other options, the place is very spacious, and the location is convenient. Major: The place needs serious maintenance. One sink didn't work altogether, another sink only had cold water as a trickle, and one of the showers only half works. The hot water in one of the showers doesn't last long at all. The table was sticky. The fridge absolutely reeks and definitely needs a clean.
Minor: Doors are old and can't kept open or closed easily. Check-out window is only 08:00-11:00 - we were looking to leave earlier but wouldn't have been able to (Note: we didn't ask, they may have accommodated so take with a pinch of salt).
- glynn (8/5): - Really spaciuos good size rooms, good kitchen and dining facilities Decor needs updating, carpets were dirty and beds weren't very comfortable. The shower in the main bathroom was very difficult to control the temperature. There where not enough comfortable seats in the living room
- Hillier (10/5): -
- Sammy (10/5): Perfect for a 1 night stay in Bournemouth - The property is very big and spacious. Easy check in process. Free parking space for 1 car only outside the property. Free WiFi, Large living room, dining room (large table with 6 comfy chairs & a high chair, kitchen & utility room with toilet. Kitchen has fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster & working oven. Kitchen essentials included. Upstairs has 3 large bedrooms with double beds in, there’s a main bathroom with bath/shower and an en-suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms with a shower. Garden with outside seating area aswell. This was fine for a 1 night stay as a family of 5. Some suggestions for the owners: curtains or blinds on the other bedroom windows in each room, it’s too bright in the mornings. Curtains or blinds in dining room & hallway. Housekeeping to do thorough checks/cleans as there were some things missed/ not picked up on which I discussed with the gentleman in reception upon checkout. Decor/diy touch ups throughout property (the property has so much potential) pillow & mattress protectors and new pillows for beds as current ones are stained.
- Krzysztof (10/5): -
- Poovandree (7/5): We made the most of the garden and dining area - Good location
Nice garden Not enough glasses/ cutlery/no wine/ beer opener
Freezer had big ice blocks
Fridge had an odour
Beds not comfy
Shower water pressures very very low and the heat element very unpredictable
6 people were booked in and only 1 car was free parking/not logical
- Christopher (10/5): - The size, space, and location, parking facility were a bonus
- Marcia (7/5): Great location, great value for money. - Great location.
Great sized property
Good value for money
Clean linen
Clean bathroom/kitchen No washing up liquid.
Mould around the window frames.
No sharp knife in kitchen.
Needed to clean door handles and light switches on arrival
No doorlock on downstairs loo.
No water in pond.
- Dahlia (10/5): -
- Brad (10/5): -
- Suhas Patel (7/5): - Property us very spacious and suitable for 6 adults Bathrooms were not good, showers were not functioning properly
- Maria (10/5): - This welcoming Bournemouth house is just a short stroll from the beach, accommodating up to six adults. Clean and tidy, though some areas need renovation, it offers free parking and Wi-Fi. Perfect for a short seaside break, blending comfort, convenience, and coastal charm.
- Chantelle (5/5): Passable -
- Ryan (7/5): Good -
- Hasan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellaine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Busisiwe (10/5): Enjoyable - It was easy to find
Facilities were adequate
The place was clean
- Sarah (8/5): Well worth a stay - Easy location, 2 min drive from the beach. house had all that was needed, iron hair dryer, all kitchen equipment. Beds were very comfortable, one room with ensuite.
Free parking, you need to sign your car in at the hotel and collect keys.
I'd definitely stay again Lots of cigarette butts in the garden, could do with a bit of a weed and tidy up, otherwise a nice seating area.
There was an issue with the toilet downstairs but we reported and this was rectified within 10 minutes. Great service there and very friendly maintenance guy.
- Ayesha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikola (8/5): Very good -
- Charlie (1/5): Filthy - Nothing Not clean sheets on sofa bed - covered in sand and no bedding for sofa bed, bits of rubbish on floor that hadn't been cleaned up from previous people staying there - all rooms not been hoovered, no pressure in the shower and took ages for water to warm up.
Had young children staying in this house and couldn't allow them in the garden as there was cigarette butts everywhere and the water feature in garden was full of stagnent water and looks like there's an used nappy inside it.
Not worth the money for a one night stay!
- Tamang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anaortiiz (4/5): Disappointing - Bathrooms were nice and modern also very clean throughout Beds were not comfortable at all very bad sleep for all of us. Some rooms had a very bad damp smell.
- Samantha (10/5): Great value for money, brilliant location - Huge space, very good value for money. Great location N/a
- Roman (8/5): Very good -
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional - very spacious easy to check in multiple bathrooms
- Marc (3/5): Poor - Not a bad location. We were not sent instructions about how to enter the property. Went to the hotel next door and finally showed my booking and they handed over the keys. Property was dirty, not cleaned, dirty bedding which the hotel helped with late that night, they said they'd send housekeeping in the morning. Next day, breakfast, no pots, pans, oven trays, racks or a Pyrex dish to use the microwave...... Housekeeping arrived with the cooking utensils which shows there were not expecting us. We were given a complimentary breakfast by the hotel and told the owners would contact us by phone to make amends but false promises, no one did. Not a great holiday when children are involved, will not return.
- Kethavath (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vivek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pete (9/5): Bournemouth overnighter - The house was huge and had plenty of room for a group of four. All the bedrooms were very good size, well equipped kitchen, large dining room and even a small garden area to sit and relax. Free parking space directly outside was a real bonus. In places the house needed some TLC, one of the bedroom doors was hanging off the lower hinges and needed a small repair. No hot water in the ensuite although the shower in the main bathroom was working fine. Overall it was great for what we wanted.
- Andrew (6/5): Not a bad stay for the price - Great size and location Not very clean
Needs a re decorate
Very worn out
Poor mattress
- Sharon (7/5): Good - Size and location with parking included Needed a bit of TLC
- Spencer (1/5): GREAT PLACE BUT FALLING DOWN HOUSE NOT UP TO LIVING IN WET PAINT ON SEATS! - NO BREAKFAST HOUSE FALLING DOWN NOT FINISHED TABLES BROCKEN LIGHT FITTING BROKEN TAPES BROKEN TOILET HOLDER BROCKEN WE ALL GOT PAINT ON CLOTHING AS IT WAS STILL WET IN THE GARDEN LOOKS LIKE A HOUSE FROM A WAR MOVIE!
- Abdul (9/5): Excellent - It's spacious and clean. Definitely will come again and stay for longer.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emanuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (8/5): Great place for a short stop with friends-super close to the beach - Spacious
- Declan (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious place, massive rooms and very tidy. The water pressure in the ensuit shower wasn't the best.
- An (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (6/5): Pleasant - Location and free parking. Wasn't clean at all. The floors were filthy and covered in sand. The toilets were covered in skid marks! Everything in the kitchen was filthy! Good job I read reviews before and toke washing up liquid and detol!! But I don't expect to go away and have to clean!
- Sheetal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Padmawatee (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and clean
- Charlotte (5/5): Fine for a night, good size and location but quite cold and not very cosy. - Great location near to beach. Big size.
However, kitchen was quite dirty. Particularly over and utensils and saucepans very worn/grimy needed replacing. No sponge to wash up.
The place was get big and upstairs very clean, however, we were very cold.
- Ayesha (10/5): Exceptional -
- April (5/5): Passable - No hot water, asked the receptionist to come take a look which they did and they told us there would be hot water with 15 minutes however. The hot water did not end up working for the duration of our stay meaning we had to take cold showers
- Rachel (1/5): Place to avoid - Very poor condition and very dirty throughout. Headboard of one bed fell off wall during night, one bedroom door hanging off hinges and upstairs toilet was disgustingly dirty. Everything in kitchen was filthy and we couldn't use anything. Luckily were only there for one night. The worse place we've stayed in in the UK.
- Wynand (1/5): Bad -
- Clarence (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Overall a nice stay. - Very nice property, big kitchen, lounge and bedrooms.
Easy to find. Bit tricky to figure out the heating, worked it out on the second day.
Sofa in lounge not that comfortable.
Could do with some lamps for the bedrooms.
Only found wine glasses and mugs to drink out of, could do with a few normal drinking glasses.
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Good - Wasn't told where to pick the keys up.
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tyler (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (9/5): Superb - Nice location
- Samantha (5/5): Passable -
- Louisa (8/5): Great Place - Make sure you get check in instructions! - Super location and it was great to have the place to ourselves. The rooms were all a good size. Very comfortable. Check in was challenging. We weren't sent any instructions and, we had to phone the associated number a few times before someone was finally able to help us. The actual check in was fine but it just caused a lot of stress beforehand.
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jordan (10/5): Perfect house, apart of the hotel, parking in front of the house, everything was clean and tidy. - Stayed here before, had to return, only a few mins from the centre, good little place for a small group of people! Can’t fault the accommodation
- June (7/5): Great location. Poor facilities. - Location of the property is good for the town and the beach. The en-suite shower does not work. The kitchen resources are old and worn e.g. saucepans with lots of scratches and burnt on food leftovers.
Communication could be improved e.g I didn't know until on the way to the venue that I had to collect the keys from the hotel next door.
The advert offers free WiFi but this also was not available.
- Mark (5/5): Frustrating start to our stay, disappointing. - It is a large three bedroom house, plenty of room for up to 6 people. Location is reasonable, parking is okay unless you go out in the evening, when I came back I had problems finding a space. When we arrived at 3 pm, there was no heating in the house, and it was freezing cold. It's an odd arrangement. The house is next to the Park Inn hotel, and you get the key from the hotel reception. They sent someone to try and fix the boiler, but after almost two hours and multiple attempts, it was still not working. Just as I was about to leave (it was impossible to stay in a freezing cold house). the man from reception managed to start the boiler. After about 30 minutes, we started to feel some heat in the radiators, so we decided to stay as by now it was almost 6 pm so difficult to find somewhere else. However, the wi-fi had no Internet connection, and some of the wine glasses were dirty , with lipstick left on them.
