• Lisa (6/5): Apartment Rovakatu was very clean and welcoming but I recommend it for groups of 2 rather than 4. - The airbnb was very nice and clean, especially the handy storage space for our luggage and a good kitchen. The communication was clear and a nice booklet was left with very helpful tips for our stay in Rovaniemi! Although our experience here was mostly happy, we did have concerns on how the apartment was listed as fitting four people. Our own family had four people and it was quite a struggle to fit onto the beds. Each person’s feet were dangling off the edge of the bed and sofa bed; if we wanted more leg room lengthwise, we would have to sleep horizontally so only one person could get out of bed to access the toilet and the other would have to jump over them. Another problem we had was that there were no manual instructions for the washing machine. We had to search up the manual on Google and try to figure out how to use it with some assistance from the host as well.

• Graeme (6/5): Good location, easy access to shops and food outlets - The location was great as it was an easy walk to all the pickup points for all our booked sightseeing trips. As an apartment it had all the facilities i.e. fridge, microwave oven, washing machine, that we wanted. WiFi was available and useful. The info sheet in the apartment was also useful. In addition there is a small K Market store a short 200m walk south on Rovakatu. Coffee shop below the apartment. Easy walking to stores and food places. If icy, go shopping for rubber strap-on spikes or similar for your shoes, makes life so much easier. If not for the snow and ice it would've been a doable walk from train or bus stations. On first entry it smelled of cigarette smoke, either due to the person servicing the apartment or previous occupant. After buying some matches the existing scented candle dealt with that great. The bottom sheet on the bed had two overlapping single sheets horizontally across, a larger sheet to fit would be better, if not at least sew the two single sheets together! WiFi had no password so was open for anyone to use and as we discovered out on the street (just). We heeded the owners wishes not to adjust the room temperature BUT shouldn't have, 23degrees is too warm, uncomfortable, got very dehydrated and dry skin. (plus side was that washing dried overnight!)

The apartment is really cozy, clean, it has everything you need and the location is perfect, 2 blocks away from the main area. The hostess left us a bunch of information about Rovaniemi, with restaurant tips, taxi numbers and everything you need to enjoy the city. I liked everything
• Heather (8/5): Very good - Central location to bus stops & restaurant options. Layout was simple and comfortable. The instructions for how to find the apartment (specifically that you had to go around a corner and through another hallway door to find it), as well as how to operate the dishwasher and laundry machine would have been helpful. Similarly, a text the day before departure day or more details around departure preferences in the onsite book (I.e. we weren’t sure if you wanted us to run a load of laundry for the linens etc.).

• Pankaj (8/5): Wonderful affordable stay in Rovaniemi - Me and My wife travelled in mid-March. The host was well-communicated before our stay through the booking message option and the host was waiting before our arrival time. We collected the key from the host in front of the building gate. Then we moved into the apartment and there was an information booklet shared by the host for the local area & useful information. It was really helpful. The room was quite good and comfortable too. There was a -13 C degree temperature during our stay. It's a studio 1-bed apartment with everything required for a stay. It has a kitchen, attached bathroom and balcony. It's located in the city and not far from the bus stop. There are restaurants & shops nearby and an easy walk to the river too. You can take a bus to Santa Village from the nearby bus stop which Google Maps will not show you. We were lucky to see northern (Aurora) lights on the riverside. Anyone is looking for a stay in Rovaniemi, just book it without hesitation. Our Northern Lights event organiser picked us up in front of the building itself.
