• Teresa (8/5): - Fijne gastvrouw. Heel behulpzaam en aanwezig. Lekker ontbijt. Propere kamers! Enigste nadeeltje is dat het dichtbij de pidurangala rock zou zijn en dat is het ook, maar als je die wil beklimmen voor zonsopgang moet je nog steeds een tuktuk regelen tot aan de voet van de berg omdat het te gevaarlijk is in het donker om te wandelen. En de kosten van een tuktuk liggen heel hoog wegens gevaarte. Dus, als je wil besparen en wandelen, daarom moet je niet boeken.

• Maria (10/5): CUDOWNE MIEJSCE! - Cudowni ludzie, cudowny pokój, cudowna atmosfera i cudowne miejsce. NAPRAWDĘ POLECAM! Na miejscu są też świetne śniadania, warto skorzystać. Jedyne co to minusem jest to że nocleg jest trochę daleko od centrum i na pieszo lepiej nie chodzić bo po ulicach chodzą dzikie słonie, jednak właściciele oferują podwózkę tuk tukiem więc minus znika.

La atención fue excepcional, nos ayudaron en todo y fueron muy amables. Solo pudimos estar una noche, pero nos quedamos con ganas de pasar más días allí.

• Julio Cesar (10/5): - Muy buena ubicación , Justo detrás de pirudangala rock y a unos minutos manejando hasta la zona de restaurantes . Muy buena atención , amables y amigables . El desayuno incluido estaba aceptable . La habitación estaba limpia aunque en la noche se escuchaban animales en el techo de la habitación. Conseguimos un par de ranas en Baño y una pequeña lagartija en la habitación pero se entiende ya que estamos en medio de la naturaleza .

At night you need to take tuk tuk to go and back from the centre but you can walk during the day everywhere. The room was perfect for the price with great AC and good facilities

The dinner was exceptionally good, and our host was very attentive, even offering to drive us. He also arranged a safari for us, where we saw many elephants to our fullest satisfaction. The room was quiet, clean, and beautifully maintained. Additionally, the location is excellent, as both Pidurangala Rock and Lion’s Rock can be reached within a very short time.

• Sion (8/5): Perfect homestay near Pidurangala Rock, 5min tuk tuk from Sigiriya - Amila and his family gave us the warmest welcome on our arrival in Sri Lanka! Unfortunately for us it rained every day we were there but Amila sat us down and helped us make a plan. Amila and his knowledge and passion for Pidurangala and Sigiriya was coupled with his expert knowledge of Sri Lanka and its history set us up perfectly for the rest of our trip. His and his family’s kindness exceeded our expectations and the breakfast was excellent and filled us up for most of the day. We would have loved to have climbed Pidurangala Rock but unfortunately with the heavy rain it wasn’t to be. But Amila was up with us at the crack of dawn ready if we were! He even drove us to Kandy for an excellent rate and stopped at some sights along the way which broke up the journey. Thanks so much for an excellent trip and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a homestay near Sigiriya.

The location is perfect for visiting both Pidurangala Rock and Lion Rock in Sigiriya. We also had a fantastic elephant safari tour arranged by them. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at our next stay. They can also provide tours, but we had different plans, so we did not go with them. The transport prices are very fair, and the owner’s son provided excellent explanations of the places we visited—he is also a guide. Finally, we had a fantastic stay in Sri Lanka with them. The rice and curry made by his mother was the tastiest meal we had in the entire country. Breakfast was also superb. Highly recommended place! Nothing
• Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - The family that owns this property is extraordinary, they behaved exemplary with us making us feel like family. They took us by TukTuk to Pidurangala Rock and also to Dambulla, and upon departure they helped us with a taxi to Pinawalla. Also during our stay in Sigirya they gave us an extraordinary surprise with a small cake to celebrate our first vacation outside the country after the wedding (honeymoon) that we ate with them. I recommend with the greatest love!
• Kristof (7/5): Good - Ot was OK. Nothing in particular. The WiFi worked badly (supposedly because of the floods), the breakfast was basic. The room is not soundproof so every passing car or dog's barking or other people's discussions in the middle of the night can be heard.

• Alexandrumihais (10/5): Great value for money - Hosts went above and beyond to provide a great stay. I arrived at 10pm after travelling the entire day and they still cooked me dinner given the time, great tasty breakfast and it changes daily. They took me to massage, drove me into town with no added cost and offered me a drive to the airport for a fair price. Overall, great stay in Sigiriya very close to both Pidurangala Rock and Lion's Rock. Wi-Fi and data signal can be problematic during rainy days due to location, but I found it to be an overall problem in Sigiriya.

We wanted to wake up early to go to Padarangala rocks before it got too crowded, and our host offered to take us there by tuk-tuk to avoid the danger of wild elephants. Thanks to her, we were able to have an amazing experience. Everything matches the photos, the bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is good and plentiful. I highly recommend it!"

The room is a bit outside of the centre, but you can reach it easily by foot and you have the feeling that you are in the middle of the jungle with all the noises of the animals. The family also offers a Tuk Tuk service. Thanks a lot for the welcome drink! The WiFi was barely working.

• Nevo (8/5): Could've been perfect if the attitude was different. - The room is clean and the family having us was lovely, good for the price and all and they were very kind. So we didn't have hot water in the shower, and the coffee machine was non existent, and wifi and electricity broke out. But those things aren't really the reason i didn't give a 10. The owner kept trying to push us to pay him to drive us and was asking for very high prices but after we said no, trying to scare us that the bus is bad and blah blah (bus was great) is not how you behave to your guests. lanka has enough of that and it's annoying when your accomodiation which is where you rest from those things. I'm sure the kind owner didn't understand that's how we feel about that and in the future after this review it will be alright. That's why I'm giving 8 and not 6.

• Sophia (9/5): Superb - The host family was super nice and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are big and very clean. There were enough towels and the showers are good. It was a 20 min walk to the beginning of the hike up Pidurangala, which is totally worth it. It takes about 10 min to Sigiriya, where you can find restaurants and tourist shops (Souvenirs, wood carvings etc). You need a TukTuk to get to and back from Sigiriya. The host father drove us, but it is an additional price you should be aware of. The walk is only 20 mins, however it's not recommended at dawn or at night due to the wild elephants in the area.
• Nallas (8/5): Very good - Family who runs the place is very nice. Close to Pidurangala rock and Sigiriya. They offer tuk-tuk services. Dinner was expensive in Sri Lankan standards but also tasty. It is straight by the road and all the cars or tuk-tuks that drive by are basically driving in your room sound wise. Fan needs replacing or repair. Pillows where too stuffed for my taste.

We hiked to Pidurangala for sunrise, and we were taken there in time and given advice. Also the breakfast was so good! Five stars all around.
• Joey (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved this guesthouse. As soon as we entered the premises the family came out and greeted us with open arms. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. The home cooked meals were one of the best so far! We really enjoyed spending time with the family. They're all so friendly and polite and give great advice and tips on what to see. The location is great too, only a few minutes by TukTuk to Pidurangala mountain. We highly recommend staying with this lovely family! We enjoyed every minute of our stay
• Reina (10/5): This villa is a dream! - These days at Pidurangala Villas have been a dream. The owners have treated us like part of the family and have not stopped giving us smiles, attention and care. The room has everything, it is clean, very comfortable, a shower with hot water, a mosquito net and quiet. We have spent very good times on the beautiful porch, where we have been able to enjoy spectacular breakfasts and dinners. Traditional and delicious food cooked by the family itself with a lot of love. They have helped us with everything we have needed. They guided us to climb Pidurangala, found us the best safari where we saw many spectacular elephants and visited the art gallery with beautiful Batiks in Sigiriya where you can reach on foot. We liked the villa so much that we have changed plans to extend our stay here. Hopefully her daughter's dream of building treehouses comes true. She will make the place even more spectacular.
• Bronagh (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfortable room and incredibly welcoming hosts. We stayed here for one night before climbing Pidurangala Rock. It is a 5-10minute drive and very handy if you are getting up for a sunrise hike. The family were so nice. The homemade food was delicious! Would highly recommend.
