- Sudeep (9/5): - Had a wonderful stay at Nakshatra Homestay. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel very homely. The location was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Great value for money and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

- Rana (10/5): - Very pleasant stay, owner was so kind.
- Sudish (10/5): - Breakfast was very nice, the provided breakfast for 2 days are my favourite. And the curry also i liked most same as my mom preperation
- Hemanshu (1/5): The stay was disappointing due to a cramped room, poor ventilation, and lack of basic amenities. - I have rated the room poorly primarily due to comfort and basic amenity concerns.
The room felt quite congested, with a noticeably low ceiling height. A key drawback was the absence of both a ceiling fan and a washbasin (either inside the bathroom or outside), which significantly impacted convenience and overall comfort.
The layout also contributed to the cramped feel. The accommodation appeared to be a combination of a double-bed room and a single-bed room, separated by a wall with a window. This partition made the space feel smaller than expected. It might have been more spacious and functional without this dividing wall.
Additionally, the double-bed section did not have a window facing outside. Instead, it only had a window opening into the adjacent single-bed section, which limited ventilation and natural light.
The lack of a ceiling fan—possibly due to the low ceiling height—was substituted with a wall-mounted table fan. However, the fan operated at a high speed even at its lowest setting, which was uncomfortable and, in my case, led to catching a cold.
Overall, the room fell short of expectations in terms of space, ventilation, and basic amenities.

- Aayushi (10/5): - We booked Nakshatra Homestay through Booking.com after reading many positive reviews. It was my first time staying in a homestay, so I was a little skeptical at first, but I’m really happy that I chose this place.
We stayed for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms for 5 people. One room had a doublebed and a single bed for 3 people, and the second room had a doublebed for 2 people. The beds were comfortable, and we had a good sleep. The rooms are on the first floor, and we had the entire floor to ourselves, which felt like a private house. It had 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a living area with a dining table, chairs, and a divan.
The property was neat and clean. They provided RO drinking water, 3 towels, 3 soaps, free Wi-Fi with good connectivity, and 24/7 hot water. The kitchen had basic utensils. One bedroom had a side table and cupboard but no window. The other room (with 3 beds) had a side drawer and a window with good ventilation and natural light.
We arrived around 8 PM after informing the host in advance, and she shared the exact Google Maps location, which made it very easy to find. The location is excellent — in the center of Madikeri, very close to Omkareshwar Temple and Madikeri Fort, with most tourist places nearby. There is no dedicated parking, but we could park on the street opposite the house in a quiet and peaceful area.
The host was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. She showed us the rooms, asked if we needed help with luggage, and allowed our driver to sleep on the side bed in the living area without extra charge. She also asked us on the first evening if we would like tea or coffee the next morning. On the day of checkout, she again called and offered tea, and when we asked about the payment, she said it was complimentary, which was very thoughtful of her.
The terrace is well maintained with many flower plants.
- raj (9/5): - Nice stay The atmosphere and cleanliness are superb. very comfortable stay for families. good experience 😃 stayed here from feb 7 to 8 . Only a small stretch of the road is narrow and parking is on the road side.but it's manageable

- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heike (8/5): Well-kept place, but hard to find and rooms are very dark. - Clean and spacious.
Quiet surroundings. Hardly any natural light in the place, as rooms are downstairs.
No sign posting, very hard to find the homestay.
A little bit far from the city centre and bus stand.
- Nina (10/5): quiet and nice - The landlady and her husband are incredibly kind and helpful. The man even drove me to a restaurant on his scooter when I arrived hungry. The accommodation is probably the cleanest I have ever seen in three months in India! Nice and quiet location. As the accommodation is a few minutes walk from the city centre and Uber doesn't operate here, a free tuk-tuk doesn't always pass by. But the landlady gave me the number of a driver and called him for me. It's a homestay, but I would have liked things like a kettle or hairdryer in the room.
- Adam (9/5): Welcoming homestay with kind host - Very nice homestay with welcoming hosts. Gita helpfully suggested we could rent a scooter from a neighbour which really enhanced our stay in Madikeri. She also was attentive to our needs - we like to drink filter water (to save plastic) and she provided a filter water tank.
- Pr (9/5): Superb - Best available homestay at this cost..
Owner is staying down below and they were very friendly. Helpful for booking offroad jeep journey and informative about tourist places at Coorg district. Very loving and caring couple.. 🥰 Nothing specially because we can't expect camp fire and night vibe at Madikeri city that too with this much low cost.
If rooms are little bit more in size it would be more better.
- Balasubramaniam (9/5): Superb -
- Sharad (10/5): Sweet and wonderful stay in Madikeri! - It was a wonderful place and it actually felt like staying in an actual home! It was quite large for 2 of us, it had a adjoining area which had an additional bed along with a huge bed in the room.
It had a gas geyser which had instant hot water in the cool climate which was a huge respite. The rooms were spic and span and it was a wonderful stay experience.
The location is also central to the town and everything is nearby.
Geetha Ma'am was so sweet she got us coffee every morning and was always smiling and supportive.
We loved our stay here in Madikeri(Coorg) and would definitely stay here again when we are coming back here. N. A.
