- Janet (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Cosy Cottage - Lovely cosy clean cottage, great location close to town centre and Railway Station. Stairs are steep so those with mobilty issues might struggle
- Lauren (8/5): Lovely little mini break - Great location and lovely little house. Would recommend and stay again. Double bed very hard and the shower didn’t drain properly.
- Daniel (9/5): Ideal location for exploring illley and nearby walks - Great location for exploring ilkley and dales nearby we visited Malham cove, brimham rocks and Pately bridge clean and comfortable house with great facilities, the house is near to local amenities tesco train station and lots of restaurants nearby Has everything needed
- Julia (9/5): Love the house and will be booking again - Lovely decor kitchen bedroom and bath. Shower needs attention after a few minutes no power and a trickle. Hot tap in sink in bathroom needs looking at
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Charles (8/5): A good base - It was dog friendly You were lacking kitchen implements and no sieve or draining implement no wooden spoons
If the garden was fenced in at the end it would be softer for Dogs as they can hop over the wall
You need to
Lock
Cellar door as a drop down and dangerous if someone goes down by mistake
- Nicola (8/5): A lovely warm house - perfect for a winter break. - Close to town and facilities.
Nicely decorated and clean. The lock on bathroom door faulty and got locked in at one point! Fortunately had tweezers in wash bag to release lock! Key box lock very stiff - sorry we had to ring for advice.
- D (6/5): We had a short but pleasant two night stay here. - Pleasant bright feel to the place. Very clean. Lovely main bedroom and the bathroom is great too. It rained quite heavily while we were in Ilkley and it was difficult to know quite how to get a wet dog into Wellington Cottage without causing a rather muddy floor and potentially spoiling the light coloured sofa in the front room which is close to the doorway. Take an old towel or something to wipe wet muddy dogs down with and leave it inside by the front door! Both sets of stairs to first landing and then on up into the top floor bedroom are steep and not easy for the less nimble with the depth of each stair being very shallow. Can be a bit tricky if you have size 8 feet or larger!
We were a two car group of three and it wasn't until after I booked that it became clear that there is only one car parking permit for use on the road outside the house which is allocated to a car registration number. The other car had to drive round the corner to a small fee paying car park about 2 minutes away on foot. Having said that it was fairly easy for the other car to find a space outside the house for unloading and loading so I suppose not a great inconvenience but you have to nominate one car for the permit. Just worth knowing if you happen to need to park two cars.
The room at the top of the house had no blind in the velux window so we had to botch something together for ourselves to keep the early morning light out. The beds at the top of the house were not particularly comfortable for an adult, probably adequate for a child but the stairs in the bedroom are steep and would not be easy if you were carrying a young child. The door to the bedroom on the top floor is at the bottom of a flight of steep stairs and there is no door at the top of the flight of stairs to separate the stairs from the area where the beds are. Therefore I don't think it would be very suitable for very young children to use as a bedroom.
- Susie (10/5): Cosy hideaway in Ilkley - Lovely feel to the house. It was easy to find, great location, clean, comfortable, warm, and well equipped.
The bath was fabulous for a deep relaxing soak.
We will definitely be returning to this property if we visit Ilkley again. The only very very slight oversight was the lack of dishwasher tablets, but I'm sure if we'd asked some would've been supplied.
- Linda (8/5): Great for all sorts of travellers - Location and well equiped Another armchair in lounge and a rug
- Christopher (10/5): A perfect cottage for a short break to relax in comfort - Really comfortable, and within easy reach of shop’s & cafes. Close to the riverside gardens for walking our dog
- Roy (10/5): Excellent - Ideal location Only thing is steep stairs up to bedrooms and maybe some nets curtains to make it a bit more private
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Clare (9/5): Beautiful house in a great location for exploring Ilkley. - The house is beautifully decorated and in a great location. Everything was easy to find and the house is well equipped. Our only recommendation for improvement would be to fit a blind in the twin room - it was light in the room as soon as the sun came up which made it a little less restful. But everything else was excellent!
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Very clean and tastefully decorated. Good location.
Main bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The stairs were difficult. The attic room could do with a blind and the beds there were not very comfortable. Some lamps and side tables would be good. I was traveling with my 45 year old daughter so I guess it would not be so bad with young children.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - The house was really clean and had nice modern decor. Lovely kitchen and bathroom and even treats for the dog. The second bedroom in the attic was great for my two kids. The location was spot on, near to the centre of town but on a quiet street. We had a lovely meal at Galo’s Kitchen which is a 5 minute walk away - would recommend. The only slight negative was the lack of a blind on the velux window in the second bedroom, but my kids slept fine regardless.
- Joanne (9/5): Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. - The cottage is in a great location just short stroll to the town centre and all the amenities. It has been decorated beautifully and is very comfortable, clean and the owner is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The little outside terrace is a nice place to sit in the evening sun after a long walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. My only very small comment would be that the second bedroom would benefit from a bedside table, bedside lamp and a small chest of draws and a blind at the window just to finish off the decor. It’s ideal for children but for an adult staying in it, it just needs these added touches.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely little cottage within walking distance to town centre and Lido. - Great location. Tasteful decor.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Excellent location , very clean and tidy, perfect for family and a dog!
- Baldev (7/5): Good -
- Shepherd (8/5): Perfect location for Central Ilkley......... - We loved the location - so central
The bath and shower were fab!! The bed wasn't the most comfy - a hard mattress
The rope stairs (hand rail) wasn't very sturdy and didn't feel safe
- Alan (8/5): Very good -

- James (10/5): Highly recommended, cosy little gem. - Decor was beautiful. Location was outstanding. Absolutely stunning little place this, very cosy with everything you need.
- Geraldine (8/5): see above but on the whole very good Owners sorted out problem with TV very promptly - could have done with a teapot needs seats on patio Bedroom window needs fixing kept swinging wide open Could have done with a small side table in lounge to put cups/plates on whilst watching TV insread of having to use floor
- Digger (10/5): delightful property, scrupulously clean, close to town centre, railway station and supermarket - excellent location
- Michael (10/5): Perfect base for our work-related overnight stay -
- Caroline (8/5): lovely pleasant stay - clean. good decor. excellent location. very quiet considering we were almost in the centre of town.

- Barbara (10/5): Stunning cottage with charisma and charm. - From the moment I walked in I got the wow feeling, the charm and character of this beautiful cottage is stunning. It is beautifully decorated, with gorgeous furnishings too. The location is perfect. I really wish we could have stayed longer. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Kate (8/5): Gr - The cottage was lovely, very cosy and immaculately clean which was really welcoming when we arrived. It looks like it has recently been decorated, the bathroom was lovely and the sofa in the lounge was extremely comfy. The location is brilliant you are only a walk away from Ilkley with lots of little shops, cafe's etc. and there was a Booths about 5 mins walk away with so much choice! We bought something nice for dinner and cooked at the property. Everything was lovely apart from when it cam to us cooking at the property. There were no proper knives to cut vegetables, I had to resort to using the blunt butter knife in the draw and at one point I needed some scissors and again there weren't any available. It would be even more amazing if these things were provided so the kitchen feels fully working. Also I felt like people in the houses at the back could look right into the lounge as there was not a blind or curtain over the back door. However this is just a small thing for me.
- Penelope (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage, great location for the town centre.
- Lisa (10/5): A real find in the heart of Ilkley. - Beautiful modern spacious interior with lots of extras, including doggy treats. A perfect place to relax. Only five minutes from Ilkley centre. Nothing to note.
- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous - Beautiful cottage Loved everything ❤🧡💛💛💚💜
