Guest Reviews
- Ulrike (8/5): Schöne 3-Zimmerwohnung direkt am Wanderweg und nah am Bahnhof - Nähe zum Bahnhof, sehr gute Betten, ruhig, intelligent ausgestattet
- Gary (8/5): A convenient spot in Fort William for short or long stays - Very conveniently located. It’s next to the train station & the main bus stops in Fort William. It’s also a short, easy walk to the main section of town where the shops, restaurants, and cafes are. The kitchen was very well stocked, and those who do prepare most meals during their stay would find it very well equipped. The apartment had paper towels, coffee (pods + instant), a small, new bottle of milk, cookware, as well as rolls of wax paper, aluminum, and plastic wraps. Bath towels were thick and soft. We did consider being next to the train track might have a noise issue, but it turned out that the noise wasn’t a problem for us at all. The loudest train noise was the Caledonia Sleeper’s departure, but it left before our bed time, so it didn’t interfere with our sleep. The morning trains movements didn’t disrupt our sleep. That said, light sleepers may need ear plugs. Staff were responsive to messages. We reported to the staff on our 1st morning that the coffee maker didn’t work (& the instruction manual for it was useless). They offered to assist or remedy the situation, but we decided with wasn’t an emergency. It’s something they do need to check before the next guests arrive. Not a deal breaker: the entry way doesn’t looked as welcoming as the apartment itself.

- Diane (9/5): Clean and conformable 2-bed apartment, convenient for Fort William station for railway journey - Stayed as part of Pullman Highland Railway trip and was convenient for the train station. Not too far from town either for dining. East to access, Clean and comfortable
- Dirk (9/5): -
- Jeff (8/5): Great place to stay and fit our needs - nothing
- Caitlin (9/5): - Great location, easy check in.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very nice apartment. I would definitely stay again. - Very convenient location (easy walking distance into Fort William and almost next to Morrisons). Very nicely furbished apartment. Perfect for our requirements (short stay with the objective of 'doing' Ben Nevis). There was nothing that we didn't like. The apartment is close to the station so it doesn't have the best view, but we knew that when we booked so it wasn't an issue, and the convenience of the location was excellent.

- brian (9/5): Just what we wanted for access to the railway station. - The location was perfect for railway and bus stations, and for the supermarket. Well equipped and cosy. Well stocked with drinks, soap, toilet rolls etc. Bathroom sink needed attention as it emptied really slowly.
Merci !
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfortable apartment, very nicely furnished. Contained everything we needed and location is excellent for bus and train. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted.
- Richard (9/5): Great location in Fort William - Very good location and near restaurants, shopping and groceries. We had a car and appreciated the parking space. Well appointed and the washing machine was a plus.
- Rhodes (7/5): Good -
- Ravichander (7/5): Good -
- Angela (8/5): Lovely few days in FW to climb Ben Nevis. The flat was ideally located for this short break - a bit expensive but apprec - Great location, clean, spacious.
- Nancy (8/5): Nice central location. I would recommend to friends. - Great location to the train, grocery store, walk into the village. Bed was lumpy. There was not a mirror near an outlet to blow dry your hair.
- Ross (9/5): Great base to explore the highlands around Fort William. - Clean and warm. Recently refurbished. Has a washing machine/drier. Parking space available. Not far to walk into town. You can watch the Hogwarts Express leave from the window. Trains sometimes idle outside the apartment.
- Julian (7/5): Good - The apartment is next to Fort William station. Watching the Jacobite steam train depart every morning was a bonus. Facilities were comfortable, contemporary and clean. The apartment was cold, and it was difficult to warm it on the first night. This coloured our appreciation of it somewhat. Heating is mainly supplied by 2 storage heaters, which the instruction book told us not to fiddle with. When contacted the following morning, Lochaber Accomodation Services quickly advised how to turn the heaters up. My point is those instructions should be in the book.
- Anne (9/5): Excellent -
- Valerie (8/5): Armadale apartment - It was central to places we wanted to visit and also convenient for local pubs, restaurants and shops.
The welcome pack
Information was very informative as was the complimentary milk The bathroom plumbing.
We saw previous reviews about the slow drawing of water. Which we agree with but on Sunday (yesterday) morning, after our showers the water overflowed the tray and hasn't yet drained. It is completely blocked. Sodden towels are in the washing machine
- Yvonne (9/5): Comfort, clean and close to shops, restaurants & activities. - Clean comfortable and everything you need to enjoy your stay. Shower was a bit small.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The whole apartment was lovely. Hoping to get it next year again N/a
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and close to the town centre. Train station is very close. Engine noise could be a problem sometimes. Fresh and clean.
- David (10/5): A home away from home and very close to train station - Full size 2 bedroom apartment with seperate living room and kitchen. Fully equipped. Nothing
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (9/5): Super Cute Apartment with many amenities. - Spacious, clean, many nice amenities. Kitchen was very nice. Great instruction book, and the appliance manual folder was super helpful. Even though it is right next to the train station, we were never disrupted by any noises at night. Loved how close it was to a grocery store and so many shops and restaurants. We walked everywhere. The only one issue was a slow-draining shower. And no where to put my shower toiletries (inside shower use.) There's nothing else we can think of.
- Alana (9/5): Central and clean stay surely to please - Great central location, easy check in, and clean! Really loved the added touch of milk in the fridge. Kitchen is also well stocked and we loved that the grocery store was a short walk away. All in all, loved this place and would stay again! Nothing too negative to say about this place! The drain in the shower and bathroom sink drain quite slow, and the larger bed is a bit sunken in - but it did not stop us from having a good sleep. I’ve seen lots of reviews about the train noise but they really weren’t a bother at all.
- Anita (9/5): Excellent property - Very comfortable
- Ka (9/5): Excellent location, everything is great except linens. - Host is sweet, who provides everything in kitchen, likes seasonings, bowl and pan. Surprising us is there is a box of full cream milk in fridge. And host also provides a brilliant shampoo and conditioner, body wash and body lotions Everything is brilliant except we felt dusty on linens, as we have allergies rhinitis,
We need to wash and dry those linen before sleep.
- Margo (10/5): Safe comfortable flat excellent location - Location clean and all you needed in the apartment Tv only had Netflix
- Karl (10/5): Very clean and spacious accommodation. So handy for centre of town. - The layout and spaciousness of the accommodation. It generally met with all our expectations.
- Joey (10/5): Great location and apartment is cosy and fully equiped - Great location and cosy apartment It is close to railway line but we didn’t hear the trains go past very often
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and week equipped. So convenient for town and the station
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - A very comfortable, spacious apartment with everything we needed and in a great location. Thank you!
- Naida (10/5): A little luxury home away from home. Excellent location for the train buffs - Location to the train was important for this trip. Having some space, a washing machine and well equipped kitchen was great.
Tastefully decorated and very thoughtful touches like the biscuits 💕 Nothing
- Hilary (9/5): Perfect for anyone doing the Jacobite steam journey - It was incredibly convenient for the station and only a short walk into town. Nice and clean and well equipped and modern. Very comfortable Being so near a station which is also a terminus there was quite a lot of noise with trains coming and going especially the Caledonian Sleeper who’s diesel engine idled for a long time
- Thomas (8/5): Highly recommended - Value for money.
Self catering facility
Location Railway station next door makes noise
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Nikki (10/5): Superb stay - The apartment for exceptionally clean & maintained to a great standard. The rooms were light & airy. And the location was superb. I had to buy a 4.5 tog duvet as the one on the bed was far too warm & there were no lighter blankets available
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Annemarie (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (9/5): Convenient and Surprisingly Nice! - Lovely apartment! Clean, bright, and well appointed. Everything worked well, and the were instructions, labels, and manuals for everything. The clothes washer was also a dryer, which is rare and most welcome. Clothesline and racks also available. Coffee, tea, and cookies were left for us. Conveniently located a short walk from the main shopping and restaurant area and next door to train station. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. We really liked everything. If you mind noise, you may not like the proximity to the train, but it didn't bother us. In a perfect world, we would have been able to either cast to the TV from our devices or have access to a streaming service rather than basic TV, but now we're just being picky.
- Bhargava (8/5): It was nice and very close to lot of places. - Should provide little nbit of information about the parking and Location. NA
- Koalaty (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment size for our party of three was perfect; as was the location! If you're taking the Jacobite train, you can see it arrive, and it's less than a 2-minute walk to board! City center is 5- minute walk. Easy check-in with lock box and apartment had everything we needed. Perhaps easy instructions for operating washer & dryer unit. The combo unit was different for us, but we eventually figured it out!
- Jasmin (9/5): Perfect stay! - My partner and I have been backpacking for nearly 4 months and this was easily one of our favourite stays! The instructions that were sent to us made the self-checkin process extremely easy and we found the place and checked in with no hassle. The apartment was well cleaned, shower was hot with good water pressure (with shampoo, conditioner and soap available), bed and pillows were like a cloud, very warm and cozy as well. Lounge room and dining area was great with a cute little electric fire place and even some books and information pamphlets about the area.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need plus more. I loved that there was milk in the fridge as well as coffee, tea, sugar and little biscuits available because we checked in late so it was really convenient already having those things available for coffee the next morning. The host was responsive and let us check out an hour late so our checkout time aligned with our train time. The apartment was right next to the station so very convenient location and also had a supermarket across the other side of the station. I can hardly fault this place. Maybe a tv with Netflix as well as just cable tv or some board games could have been good but we were out and about exploring all day anyway so entertainment in the apartment wasn’t a big deal we mostly just ate, slept and showered there. Honestly wishing we booked more than 2 nights, I’d definitely recommend a minimum of 3 nights to do everything well.
- Kev (9/5): Highland mini tour. - Armadale Buildings apartment was fantastic but be aware it is very close to the railway although this poses only a minor problem for about 1 hour early evening until the Caledonia Sleeper train loads and departs, otherwise no issue.
The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and airy. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with essentials.
An excellently position for access to town and all major routes through the Highlands.
Highly recommended. Nothing to dislike at all.
- Lee (9/5): Superb - Good location, excellent standard of accommodation
- Sandeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - it was very clean and cosy and situated a 5 min walk from the high street also very accommodating and provided with coffees and teas will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here
- Kevin (8/5): Commando memorial remembrance weekend - location, the property was extremely well maintained. excellent instructions prior to arrival The plumbing in the small bedroom requires attention as the noise coming from it woke me up during the small hours on both nights.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - spot on little flat!
