- Lyn (9/5): Loved the tranquility, would go back again - Everything about this property from the comfortable bed to the outdoor facilities, the location and surrounds
- Katherine (10/5): Private getaway with stunning views - This place was just perfect for a real escape. Beautifully crafted and cleverly designed it had everything we needed. The view was stunning - you really did feel like you had it all to yourself whether that was from the bath tub, the 'bar', the outside dining space or the bed, the place really does make the most of the surroundings.
- Barbara (10/5): Unique property for total seclusion but the ultimate comfort . Just gorgeous. - It’s stunning scenery , its seclusion, its thoughtful design . Just a unique property where at night I could not see a light elsewhere except a full sky of stars . Day time companions were the beautiful little blue wrens , what a treat. Nothing .
- Gemma (10/5): - Stunning location and views. Very comfortable and private. Stunning building Nothing. Wish we had stayed longer
- Rachel (10/5): Perfect to unwind - Privacy and quiet spot... thoughtful touches I didn't like that I booked only 3 nights.. wanted more.

- Sheree (10/5): - It was so tranquil and absolutely stunning. Paul and Nat were lovely Nothing
- Sharna (10/5): Amazing - It was so peaceful, and the views were amazing. Waking up in the morning and opening the blinds is what I loved the most. Sitting in the outside bath was breathtaking. We will definitely stay again. There wasn't anything wrong with this place.
- Adam (10/5): Cozy escape from reality - It was a cozy, quiet and peaceful escape from reality,
The outside bath was a great treat to wind down on the first night with the weather playing nice.
The atmosphere of waking up to the hillside was magical with the sound of nature outside.
Definitely made use of the environment to make it as magical as possible.
Recommend bringing candles and marshmallows! It was just unfortunate the particular days of stay the weather wasn't the best (middle of winter though so kind of have to expect it), the wind can become particularly strong and makes cooking outside a little bit more of a challenge but not impossible!
- Portlock (10/5): Fantastic getaway location - Beautiful location
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Magical!
Such a beautiful little spot, extremely clean and it had everything we needed. We definitely be back. The only thing we disliked was having to leave at the end of our stay.
- Sage (10/5): Exceptional - Was the most relaxing/ unwinding stay ive had. Will definitely be back to stay here again, 10/10.
- Karen (10/5): Very relaxing, great view . - Very unique and peaceful Nothing all good
- Jackson (9/5): Superb - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rainshadow Retreat. The facilities were excellent and the outside bathtub made the stay feel special. The accommodation felt private and the views were stunning. We would highly recommend this place for a weekend away as a couple!
