• Janani (6/5): Overall a pleasant stay. - The property was close to the station. So commuting was easy. It was a pleasant stay overall. It was a traditional Japanese house, which made it something new and enjoyable. The host had given instructions in advance as to how to get to the property, etc. So it was useful. It is close to a scenic riverside. It was really nice to sit there in the evenings. The wifi was really bad. The host should consider this. It kept disconnecting The WIFI was very bad. It disconnects all of a sudden and connects with great difficulty. I had to double-check if the password was correct.

• NOBUKO (4/5): 値段のわりにイマイチ - 便利な場所だった。布団が敷かれていた。箸や皿、お盆があり便利だった。清潔なタオルがあり助かった。トイレとお風呂は狭いけど、部屋は広かった。 右隣に放置自転車やバイクがあり、雰囲気が悪かった。ポストに広告が詰め込まれたままで印象が悪かった。机が綺麗でなかった。支払った値段を考えればティーパック一つお茶のサービスが欲しかった。

C'est la deuxième fois que j'y séjourne et j'ai toujours beaucoup de plaisir à y retourner ! En hiver, il fait vraiment très froid dans la maison alors heureusement qu'il y avait le chauffage !

• Haifeng (8/5): 如果再去京都，我仍旧愿意住在这里。 - 地理位置非常棒，离地铁站和公交站都很近，去任何地方都很方便。所在街区很宁静，利于睡眠。周围很多便利店喝参观，生活气氛浓厚。 一切都很完美，唯一的问题是厕所太小了，体型大一点的人甚至没有办法关门。

• b7877506 (10/5): Nice vibe and comfortable - The location was perfect, it's near the metro station really close that I and my girl could able to travel so convenient. The vintage vibe was also excellent, I'll definitely visit again. The space of toilet only, other things were good at all.

• Deborah (5/5): One for the agile - The location was good near public transport. Laundry useful. The toilet was so small our knees nearly hit the door when sitting. The door needed to be opened - on to the kitchen- to pull your pants up or wipe your bottom properly. The stairs to the bedrooms was as steep as a ladder.
• Ana (9/5): Superb - We had a great time at Ikoi Demachi Yanagi! The location’s awesome—super close to Kamo River and Shimogamo Shrine, with tons of restaurants, a 24-hour supermarket, and convenience stores nearby. It’s right by Demachiyanagi Station, so hopping to Kurama or downtown Kyoto was a cinch, and we loved walking to Ginkakuji and the Philosopher’s Path. The place itself was plenty big for me and my husband. The upstairs tatami room felt huge for just the two of us (could easily fit 3-4 people), and the small kitchen with a microwave, kettle, and basic cooking gear let us whip up quick meals. Tucked in a quiet gravel alley, it’s super peaceful and private—perfect for a chill stay. The only downsides were the bathroom—it’s pretty small, which was fine for me but tricky for my tall husband, and the upstairs bathroom had no night lamp, which was a bit inconvenient. Still, we’d totally recommend this spot for a cozy Kyoto base!
• David (7/5): Good - This is a Japanese style house. Tatami rooms, no chairs, a very steep and small steps hallway to the second floor. Low hanging lights and door ways. The toilet is in a very small “room”. It will be difficult for any adult to sit on the toilet and shut the door.

• Macarena (10/5): Amazing traditional house - The house was big and traditional. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We are glad we stayed there. Also, the subway was very close, very handy to visit the city faster. Thank you!

• Hoi-lam (7/5): Good - it was spacious for 2 people, it was nicely decorated like a traditional Japanese house, and it’s easy to get to by public transport. the house is a little bit hard to find as it’s on a small residential road but at least it’s very peaceful if you like that.

• Danielle (8/5): Comfortable and convenient. - This property was near a river, university and walking distance to Imperial Palace Park, Philosopher's Path, and many temples and shrines. We found a lovely Falafel place nearby to eat lunch and dinner in a cute garden. The property was comfortable and well equipped. The futons were the softest and most comfortable we slept on. The stairs to the bedrooms were very steep, which we understand is typical, but still difficult. The toilet space was tight. The walls are thin so you can hear people talking on the street.
• Traveller (8/5): Lovely, relaxing house - all to myself :-) - A great little house in a very quiet area, that was a 2-minute walk from the train station. The whole neighborhood is great. The house was very clean and comfortable. Shower / bathroom was great (and big). Kitchen was clean. The tatami living room was also very nice. The house was full of lovely Japanese ornaments and paintings on the wall.
