Guest Reviews
- Jeanette (9/5): - Very clean and beds comfortable and there was a bus just across the into town
- keith (10/5): -
- Jacob (7/5): -
- Ann (7/5): It was very average and didn’t feel special. - Clean and bright Breakfast felt rushed although it was supposed to be until 10 o clock. We felt as if we should hurry and tables around us were being cleared and tables laid for dinner while we were still eating.
- wendy (7/5): - English breakfast was good but it could have been hotter, continental breakfast was poor I thought it would have come with a croissant,it was only two one inch square cheeses one slice of ham and slices of tomatoes The view from our room was over looking the car park the restaurant wasn't open for evening meals although it was clean the bed was very comfy the bed room needed updating
- Kieran (8/5): Lovely relaxing stay in Jersey - The location was very good, near the bus stop which has a regular service to St Helier or Gorey pier. Also there are shops and restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. The breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room looked like it had been recently redecorated but could have done with a new carpet. One odd thing about the room was that the bathroom was down a few steps in the room but there was no door on the bathroom which would of been better
- Jean-Luc (10/5): très bon séjour - côté cosy de l'hôtel, petit déjeuner copieux et personnel aux petits soins
- Kimbo & Daz (8/5): Sunshine and serenity. - Friendly, helpful staff.Generous breakfasts. Convenient location outside of the city area. Quiet area. Parking on site. Window in room could be opened. Jersey cows in the paddock next to the hotel. Lack of air conditioning. No flyscreen on room window. Water pressure to shower was very low. No fridge in the room.
- Michael (8/5): Great weather wonderful staff could not do enough for us - Wonderful staff comfortable bed access into bathroom an shower was poor especially for disabled people no evening meal available Other than access everything was good
- Jennie (7/5): - Lovely staff and welcome. Good breakfast and value for money. Bit dated and needed some tidying up, especially in bathroom.
- Alan (9/5): Good short stay. Made to feel welcome -
- Kate (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing hotel with wonderful housekeeping - Quiet and comfortable . Excellent breakfast A little fridge in the room would be very welcome
- Libby (4/5): Not a complete disappointment but might have had a better experience if the above was in place. - The staff were lovely. Our room faced the main road and the traffic noise was something else. Very noisy. No curtains just biinds. Very bright at 6am! Also the towels might have been a little bit small! Because there was no restaurant available for meals just breakfast it might be an idea to put a small fridge in the room. Swimming pool was also unavailable. Btw the bar shuts at 21:00
- Bruno (10/5): -
- Ian (7/5): Great staff made our short stay - Breakfast, would be nice to have plate warmer next to buffet as food only warm but very tasty.
Lovely fresh selection
Local books in bedrooms Stay too short
- Rachael (8/5): -

- Ian (10/5): Excellent, would highly recommend and the staff were amazing. - Staff very flexible and supportive (opened breakfast early for us so that we could eat and play football at 10:15am). They were also very polite and approachable. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the rooms were really nice and spacious. The bathroom and shower.
- Hilda (7/5): It met our needs - Rooms clean and adequately heated
- Paul (10/5): Great experience of the hospitality trade! - The staff were very helpful, all of them. The food was lovely the bar relaxing rooms comfortable and ample parking. Not a bad location for the whole of the island. Definitely go back again. Nothing I didn’t like, all great.
- William (9/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): Great location and very friendly staff - Great location I found the pillows a little too soft as I prefer firmer ones - but this was only a minor issue
- Dunn (8/5): -
- Sally (10/5): -
- Judith (10/5): -
- Alysa (9/5): Peaceful, clean, relaxing and wonderful staff - The food here is amazing. We ate breakfast and dinner and we can’t fault it. very nice.
1 course £20, 2 courses £27… worth it.
Rooms, quiet, clean and comfortable.
Staff were absolutely fantastic. So so helpful and knowledgeable. Just wonderful.
Bus stop outside the hotel which was so handy.
Co-op supermarket a 8 min walk which was brilliant.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Obviously nothing is perfect, the hotel is clearly in an old building, and if I really had to make any suggestions I would say the bed cover was a little lumpy and we could have done with another towel. (Which I’m sure they would have given us if I’d asked). However I slept so well and that’s all that matters.
- James (8/5): Very enjoyable stay. - The overall presentation. Breakfast. Staff Bathroom cramped but acceptable
- Jemma (10/5): -
- Hervé (8/5): -
- Chris (7/5): Relaxing - Breakfast and staff were great. No room information about hotel or local facilities. Bar facilities were poor there was a bar Tarim showing draught beers yet there weren’t any so had to buy 2 small bottles and a soft drink £16 later
- Bert Julien Gina (7/5): -

Confortable et bon rapport qualité prix.
- Alison (8/5): -
- andrew (6/5): Over all was good apart from the heaters and light fitting hanging off - The staff was great the heaters in the room wasn't the best the light was hanging off with no bulb above the mirror room 30 the breakfast was great bar was fine. Cheers Mr Andrew Lloyd The breakfast staff and bar was great
- raymond (9/5): -

- Linda (10/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Very enjoyable . - Clean & bright , comfy rooms , friendly welcoming staff , we had a good breakfast & evening meal of high standard , good value for money , been coming here for 5 yrs . There was nothing to dislike !
- Céline Tromeur (9/5): - L'emplacement, l'accueil chaleureux du personnel...
- Helen (10/5): A welcoming and comfortable hotel. - The Beachcombers was clean and comfortable with well equipped spacious rooms. All staff were friendly and courteous. The buffet cooked breakfast plates were cold but this was soon remedied when we asked for warm plates.
- Kailey (8/5): - Good breakfast good location
Room was boiling when we first entered and some cobwebs and spiders around the window area Room was boiling when we first entered and some cobwebs and spiders around the window area
- graham (8/5): Excellent - Breakfast excellent plenty of parking clean rooms nice staff Perhaps the hotel sign could be more lit up as a little hard to see in the dark
- Jane (8/5): Great value for money , clean and comfortable- very friendly staff . - Friendly staff , clean accommodation Very quiet but understandable as out of season
- Anita (10/5): - Great location with bus stop outside. Staff is very helpful, friendly, and always available with help and advice. Room very comfortable and very clean. Nothing.
- Laura (8/5): Very friendly staff, can’t do enough for you! - Clean, friendly and helpful staff, bus stop right outside. Lovely Gorey 20 minute walk away! Thin walls so depending on your neighbours can be a little noisy
- Keri (10/5): Comfortable, and well looked after. A relaxing stay. - Rooms were simple and basic but had enough furniture to store clothes and everything else. We went off season so was quiet but the staff treated us well and were very nice. The food served in their restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. To get around the island we went by bus. Buy a prepaid card on just jump on the bus. A stop outside the hotel takes you straight into St Helier. Prices of food and drink could’ve been cheaper but we realised they were the same everywhere in Jersey
- Oliveira (9/5): Ótimo ! - Do quarto tudo bem organizado e limpo. Não tenho que reclamar
- Tania (5/5): Disappointing. - Pet friendly. Staff were not very approachable. They seemed fed up and didn't help elderly guests struggling with cases, food awful, hotel rooms, and pool nothing like pictures advertised. Dated room.Would not recommend.
- Alberto (10/5): -
- Francis (9/5): Exactly what we needed for our stay - Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast No lift
- stephen (9/5): Lovely hotel in a quiet relaxed location - Easy check in and is in a lovely quiet location Unfortunately the pool was closed due to damage from the previous weeks storm but we understood and you cant do anything if mother nature intervenes so not much the hotel could do
- jason (7/5): - The coffee at the hotel was the best in the area if you like a strong European coffee. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was reasonable and a good selection. It's a shame a nice coffee was not included only filter coffee. Coffee discounted for hotel guests would have been a nice gesture. The whole place was clean. Our room had a bath which my wife prefers. The nearest beach is 20 min walk. There are quite a few pubs/ restaurants within 20 min walk along with a couple of local supermarkets. Buses are every 15min so transport is good. Pool was advertised as open until the end of October. The pool was closed the day after we arrived 1st of October. As my wife likes swimming this was the main reason for booking the hotel. Shower screen was a sliding screen with one half missing resulting in water spraying onto the floor when showering. The shower pressure was worse than an electric shower.
- Debbiel (9/5): Great clean base. Lovely staff - Location was good. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy hotel. TV only had basic channels, could do with freeview channels or SMART TV
Better water pressure for the shower
- sandra (8/5): A solid place to base yourself if you want to be based near Mont Orgeuil and St Helier. A hire car is a definite advanta - Quiet, with a pleasant outlook out across the swimming pool. The room and bathroom were nice in terms of size. A good stock of shampoo etc was supplied (and hot drinks, too). Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good range of options at breakfast. A good sized free car park was a bonus. A more thorough approach to dusting would have been nice in the room, but the linen etc was definitely all clean.
An earlier start to serving breakfast would be good especially for weekend visitors (it's from 8am).
- Sue (8/5): Very welcoming, nice food and bonus of a clean swimming pool - Was a very last minute late booking due to our ferry getting cancelled but the owner was fabulous and made sure the kitchen stayed open so we could have dinner and after we checked out we were still able to use the swimming pool N/a
- Angus (9/5): Great value for money. - Quick business trip, Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much to ask. Nothing comes to mind.
- linda (9/5): Very pleasant. - Very friendly staff. To far away from anything you need a car
- Lindsay (3/5): Very disappointing stay - Quite good breakfast.
Easy check in where the receptionist was polite and helpful The traffic noise was bad from 0600 until close to midnight and at times through the night. The doors were ill fitting so rattled all day and night. Wedged the bathroom door open with a towel which solved that one, but even putting a large bag in front of entry door didn't stop it banging. Specifically booked this accommodation due to it having a pool, but staff refused to roll back cover on our second day. The excuse given was rainwater would affect the chemicals. As you can see from photos, the cover was ripped in several places and did not fit to the edge, so rainwater was constantly going in anyway. From earlier reviews I now realise the pool is often not available. The hotel is far from most amenities, so as I say the pool was it's only attraction for us. Pealing paint in bathroom on ceiling(see picture) Scruffy exterior
- Forryan (4/5): -
- Tim (7/5): Don't expect food here! - The hotels very clean and staff are friendly. The restaurant couldn't cater for the number of guests, so was said to be fully booked. As the hotel is slightly remote this is a disadvantage.
- Kevin (8/5): Very pleasant and relaxing - Overall a very pleasant stay
- christine (7/5): A lovely hotel close to gorgeous Gorey and helpful staff - The staff were lovely and helpful
The area was quiet
Our room opened onto the garden The base of our bed was in poor condition and our window blind was also poor. So maybe some things needed attention
- Kerr (6/5): Family Holiday. - The staff were all very pleasant. Not that knowledgeable when asked about certain aspects of the area. We felt the room and bathroom were small. Not enough shelves in the bathroom. The shower was poor and small. Pillows were awful. The room felt like it could do with a refresh and small for a family room.
- Katherine (8/5): Great would use again - Nice clean Bar not attended to when wanting a drink
- Lauren (5/5): It was ok - The pool was great The room was nice and big but the beds and pillows weren’t comfy and you could hear every noise from carpark or next door neighbours speaking, did not get much sleep that’s for sure. The food was expensive and not that great, the presentation looked better than the food tasted
- Spear (9/5): Fantastic value and great base for a long weekend - The staff are really friendly and helpful. The beds are really comfortable and rooms clean. The food served at breakfast is high quality. We decided to dine in one evening and the steak was so good we stayed in for dinner another evening too which is rare for us when we're on holiday! The only down side was the pool was colder than we expected so the kids didn't spend as much time swimming as we had expected.
- Monika (9/5): -
- Munns (8/5): - Loved the pool & tennis courts & restaurant on site.
- S (4/5): Good location but needs better maintenance procedures - Good buffet selection for breakfast. Restaurant changed menu once during our 6 night stay. Window could not be closed so had road noise. Cistern had a leak so refilled approximately every 4 minutes. Shower cubicle had mould. We complained. The shower was cleaned but it took 3 more complaints before the window was closed and the cistern repaired. Our last night was quiet.
- Alexis (4/5): - Friendly staff and great location. Clean. Quite tired, rooms were a bit small and basic - could do with a dryer for towels and swimming costumes and some shelves to put things in the bathrooms.
- Janeafrington (8/5): Very good - The staff are excellent -very friendly and couldn't be more accommodating. They are extremely kind and thoughtful. The only thing I really didn't like is the carpet in room 39 looks and feels like it needs replacing or a jolly good clean. Other than that - all was very good
- Elisabete (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is lovely The stuff was lovely polite and kind and they are dog friend
- Tony (8/5): Our stay was just what we needed and the hotel staff were excellent. - Everything was good but I think the shower fittings could be better as they are old and difficult to turn if you are older. The meals were excellent and very satisfying, and of a high standard. All the staff were excellent and deserve a particular mention, nothing was to much trouble. There was a problem with the swimming pool so for 5 days it was out of bounds, do to a water quality issue. This was very disappointing as we booked this because it had the pool. It was all sorted before we left though.
- John (5/5): Staff very friendly, good location but money needs to spent on refurbishing rooms - Location and friendly staff Run down bedroom and bathroom. Only Venetian blind and no curtains in the room. Bedroom furniture can only be described as worn…
- Raymond (8/5): Very good - The buffet breakfast was ideal and all tastes where catered for . Lovely rooms and Happy staff
Beautiful location. The step from the library room to the pool is a but high and could do with a ramp .
A rail to help people that struggle to walk to get into the pool would be of great help too .
- Olivia (7/5): Stay in Jersey - Location - served the purpose for what we wanted.
Comfortable bed and clean bathroom/room.
Pleasant staff at reception, restaurant and cleaning. The pool was out of use. We weren't informed of this until the day we arrived.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Esther (4/5): Don't go! - Staff were friendly Don't trust the photos on the website. This hotel very run down and neglected. Everything just needs care and attention. Rooms damp and musty.
- Carol (7/5): Good -
