Guest Reviews
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful set-up, generous supplies, definitely look forward to staying again! - Perfect location for a family get-together! Beautifully decorated & generous supplies. Master bedroom had the most comfortable mattress we have EVER slept on in our 50+ lives. Unfortunately the bath plug/tub wasn’t staying in properly….rang owner, tried to tighten it but unfortunately the water just kept seeping out so after only one good soak in the bath tub, the bath really sucked!!🙁Will try and return once the plug is fixed so I can have a proper soak!! It was only a little hiccup in the grand scheme of things. Beautiful bathroom though!
- madeleine (10/5): country charm - This was a very tranquil place to stay. Loves the spacious home with all the modern amenities. It would have been better if the fence surrounding the house was pet proof. I really appreciate that the property is pet friendly but it would have been wonderful to have the pets outdoors in a secure yard.
- Broden (6/5): Quiet country stay - good if you want to escape the city. - Quiet, country location. Good communication from the owner. The lounge and kitchen furniture could be upgraded, quite low and uncomfortable. Also, could use some proper blinds in the bathroom for privacy and blackout blinds in the bedrooms to allow a sleep in and provide privacy.
- Howe (9/5): - Beds were super comfy. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom areas.
Quiet relaxing space.
- cathy (9/5): Super nostalgic trip back in time… - Gorgeous historic homestead.
Perfect
For the three of us on a work trip and so much better than three weird hotel rooms. Nothing

- Jenna (7/5): - Cosy place, loved the views and sitting outside with a coffee. Bed was comfortable! Split systems made for a comfortable warm stay. Host was friendly and accommodating. Had everything you could need for a stay, good size tv, chromecast, coffee machine, hair dryer, pool table, panty/fridge staple items.
If a big comfortable homestead if what you love, this property is the one for you! There were no blinds or heavy curtains in any of the bedrooms or bathroom, only a thin sheer fabric. Some blinds or heavy curtains would help keep the heat inside and make me feel a little more secure and private (especially while in the shower/on the toilet) kids were worried people could see inside, especially towards bed time. The house manual says there are people who come mow lawns unannounced, farmers around etc. We would have been more comfortable if had the illusion of being able to shut the curtains.
- David (10/5): Very good. We will try to book again next year. - Was hard to find the keys from the description given
- Sigrun (4/5): It felt overpriced and we were not adequately comfortable within the property. - It was close to where we needed to go. 1 cold bedroom, curtain furnishings inadequate and left us exposed - no area safe to undress at night. Wallpaper in billiard room not pleasant.
- Tracey (9/5): Fantastic place for family connections. We had a lot of fun - Lots of space and pool table was a hit and could have a pet. Not far to shops if needed. Water pressure in shower a little light on
- Marnie (9/5): Worth the stay - very comfortable - It was clean and beds were comfortable.
The pool table was well utilised and appreciated! Sheer curtains didn’t allow for a sleep in - but that was ok!!
- Julia (8/5): Pleasant - Location. Decore. Cleanliness. Keen to go back. There was no hot water. So needed to turn it on from the unit outside. Again wasn’t working the next morning.
- Denise (8/5): A very comfortable and relaxing stay - Our group of 6 had a 2 night stay at the homestead for a family wedding in nearby Penshurst. The house was easy to find, and being set back from the highway 100+ metres among pine trees, it’s both private and quiet. The yard is fully enclosed and safe from the surrounding farm. It has a lovely outlook to the paddocks and beyond. The house was clean and tidy and had three comfy queen beds. It was well stocked, with all the mod cons and had everything we needed. The renovated kitchen, bathroom and laundry are all very functional. Communication with Kate (host) was very easy and they accommodated a later checkout which made packing up on Sunday very easy. Thanks so much. The house could do with airing out before guests arrive. It was a bit musty which is understandable if it isn’t used very often. Mind you the fresh country air fixed that in no time once we arrived. It needs some more coffee cups too. 😁
- Elisabeth (10/5): We had a wonderful family weekend and loved the house and surrounds. - We loved the kitchen and comfortable beds and location and the house and gardens spacious and well maintained. We also liked that we could take our dog and the rules are very reasonable. The kitchen was easy to cook in but basic utensils were missing eg can opener, potato masher and big cooking utensils.
Also water pressure in shower was not strong.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Eileenc (9/5): Oldie worldie charm with up to date amenities. - Lovely quiet rural location. Comfortable bed. Lots of extras. 6 minute drive to Penshurst. Good lighting for working. Easy check in, although might be difficult in the dark. Roomy. Modern appliances. Good Wifi. Nice large garden with views.
