• Mandy (8/5): Peaceful stay with beautiful outdoor space - We absolutely loved our stay at Sunrise Apartment. The apartment was peaceful and tranquil, with a beautiful outdoor space where we enjoyed sitting with a drink, reading and relaxing after busy days exploring a very busy Cinque Terre. Having on-site parking was a huge bonus and made everything much easier. The owner was lovely and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was okay, which we really appreciated. We also loved having access to a washing machine - such a help when travelling. The walk back up from the beach is definitely steep, but we actually enjoyed it after dinner each evening - the perfect way to aid digestion after all the amazing Italian food! A wonderful stay overall and somewhere we would happily return to. We would have appreciated a couple of bottles of water in the fridge on arrival BUT this was our over sight - not arriving with them in the car! rather than carry them up from the beach area.

• Robert (9/5): Beautiful home with amazing views. - The unit is very adorable, as my wife would say. The view is spectacular and the unit was clean and functional. Our host was very polite, arranged our taxi and tried to be as informative as possible. When guests are staying in the house for a short stay it’s nice if some of the basic necessities are there such as napkins, maybe oil and vinegar some spices so that if you go to the market and decide to cook, you can use the spices. I also would suggest keys for all of the bathroom and bedrooms, especially for Americans we are very used to our privacy and being able to lock our doors, especially when we’re in the bathroom or in our bedrooms. If you have guest staying for long periods of time two weeks or more then I’m sure they can run to the store and buy all the spices and have all the things they need for dinner but when you’re on a few day trip like we were, it’s just not very practical

La struttura è grande, comoda, pulita, dotata di ogni comfort e anche di un parcheggio privato. La proprietaria è molto gentile, disponibile e attenta ai propri ospiti. Un ambiente che consiglio caldamente.
• Leanne (9/5): Accommodation was very comfortable. - Lovely view from the decks. Accommodation was clean and some snacks supplied. Informative instructions on how to locate the accommodation. It was up the hill on narrow roads with a 10-15 minute walk down to main town area and beach. Not an issue if you don’t mind walking (which we don’t) but it was a steep walk back up the hill!

Le logement, situé dans les hauteurs du village, offre une vue exceptionnelle… mais il faut aimer grimper un peu pour en profiter pleinement. L’appartement est d’une propreté irréprochable et bien équipé. La propriétaire est aux petits soins, toujours attentionnée et disponible. L’emplacement est parfait pour explorer cette magnifique région. Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement

• Emily (10/5): Loved the apartment and the host was incredibly helpful! - The host was incredibly helpful throughout our stay! She gave clear instructions with pictures explaining directions to the apartment. She also helped set up a taxi driver for us when we had travel issues in a nearby village. Would definitely stay here again!
• Golden (9/5): Superb - The view was amazing and the apartment was clean, spacious and well-supplied. Gaia was a wonderful host - she checked in regularly, offered recommendations, and helped with transport. Note to other travelers - it's a steep 15 min walk to the house from the beach area. This would likely be lovely in cool weather (pretty views, houses etc.), but in the hot weather it was pretty tiring. Definitely take Gaia's suggestion to take a cab when you arrive if you have any luggage.
• Julian (5/5): Not worth it - look elsewhere! - Nice view Initially host was helpful, then became extremely rude and harassing shortly after. I had visitors during my stay and she insisted they were staying even though I told her they weren’t, her family lives in the property next door and will be keeping an eye on you the whole time - was very uncomfortable. Meant to be a house so no daily cleaning service, yet you don’t have a laundry, or access to basic things like more toilet paper or towels. Finally, the location is a nightmare - great views but so impractical for getting to the beach. It’s a 30-40 min walk up /down a very steep hill and that’s only to the beach, the old town / city centre is another 20 mins from there - taxi (if you’re lucky to get one) is 20 euro for a 2 min trips. Nowhere to hire cars in the city. On check out she tried to claim that a door knob which was loose to begin with was my fault and wanted to charge me for it. I would not recommend this place for the price they’re charging. In my opinion - book way in advance so you can get accom in the old town or one of the other cities - manorola and riomagiore are the best looking ones for sure.
• Lucero (10/5): Amazing house and view but not easy to walk to town (taxi or car needed) unless you are super sporty - House is stunning and the host is lovely. However my only negative would be the location. You do need a taxi or a car if you stay at this property. Taxi is 15 euros each way. We did get used to it and we did walk to the centre but it was an atlethic challenge to do so. The host very polite and helpful. All appliances in the house are new. Beds super comfy no noise at night so really good sleeps. Host left breakfast for us and some sweets in the rooms which was a really nice touch. I loved the house and how welcomed we felt by the host. However again, i did not enjoy not being able to walk to the centre’. I can imagine that the pool next door that you can see from the terrace makes a lot of people jelous in summer.
• Europe2024 (10/5): Great place to stay, with fabulous views to start / end your day. - Great views, host organised transport on arrival and departure which was most appreciative as the hill would be a challenge with luggage. Very clean, welcoming home including a basket of snacks, tea and coffee, the beds were comfy. Host checked in to make sure all was good, which was appreciated, easy and quick to respond when communicating. There is a bus that will bring you part of the way from the village. Mindful that the internal staircase is quite narrow, take care coming down.
• Berryman (9/5): Salute!!! This was a beautiful, clean and comfy perch for our stay in Monterossa! - The location was beautiful though it was a climb. Gaia got us a taxi for the first ride from the train station with our packs, and when we left after our stay. That was much appreciated! The rest of the time we got our workout in hiking down and back up with a cocktail on the balcony as our incentive! Gaia was very helpful making dinner reservations and recommendations. We truly enjoyed the view and our stay! We would have loved to have met Gaia but we completely understand she was busy with a her new baby😊

• Rtchee (10/5): Wonderful place, location with a great and helpful host. - The apartment not just met but exceeded our expectation regarding cleanliness, comfort and the location itself. We got a nice welcome package with some snacks and also coffee which was more than enough for our stay. We are usually really picky about the cleanliness of the bathrooms so it was quite amazing that we found a perfectly maintained and clean one. The atmosphere of the place is wonderful and we couldn't get enough of the view. Everything was great, nothing to complain about. The only thing is that I don't know why the upper door to the terrace was closed, as it would make a nice addition to get to it not just from the outside. Lastly, this is not the fault of the place or the host but we were a bit envious about the neighbours pool. Maybe non permanent one somewhere? :P

• Katie (9/5): Beautiful location that is clean and has all you need. - The property was clean and had a beautiful view. Gaia had coffee and snacks waiting for us. She also had a driver pick us up at the train station so that we did not have to walk up the hill with our luggage. She was very responsive throughout our stay there. I highly recommend this place and am thankful I got to stay there.

We were very thankful for the Taxi when we arrived as the walk with luggage would be tough, but every other trip to and from the accommodation was done on foot even taking the luggage back down the hill. • Susan (9/5): Enjoy great views from your private patio and roomy apartment. - The Sunrise apartment offers comfort, privacy, and beautiful views. Live like a local, away from the crowds and enjoy birds chirping and relaxing on the private patio overlooking the sea. This lodging provides a variety of outdoor lounging areas and all the amenities for longer term stay like full kitchen, comfy TV den, large modern bathroom and two bedrooms. The owner is easy to contact and has done a great job making this place warm and welcoming. The apartment is split two levels so you need to be comfortable going up and down a spiral staircase. Contact the owner for the initial check in on arrival at the train station. She will help you get a taxi to get you and your luggage up to the lodging way up on the beautiful hillside above town. After you get all checked in, it is easier to walk to and from town after you've gotten your bearings.
• Scott (10/5): You won’t find a better host than Gaia. - Quiet spot away from the busier parts of Monterosso. Clean, spacious, incredible view, beds are firm and great. Host (Gaia) communicates extremely well and helps facilitate her guests having a wonderful visit.
• Arvind (10/5): Very beautiful and comfortable place - Lovely home with very beautiful views of the sea and hills in a nice and quiet location that is less than 10 minutes walk from Monterosso train station. The house with its very good amenities and setup made for a very warm welcome. All the rooms are spacious and well kept. Gaia is a very caring, attentive and responsive host who graciously answered to all the questions I had. Thanks Gaia! I would love to go back and stay at this place sometime in the future.
