We were visiting friends locally on Saturday night and didn’t want to inconvenience them Went for breakfast and walk around Virginia Water lake on Sunday morning Basic facilities but sufficient for a short stay Essentially a single room (“granny annex” above the garage) with separate shower and toilet Comfortable bed and hot shower Very wooded area Walking distance from the railway station and Virginia Water lake Would use again Probably not enough pots & pans etc for cooking

• Gordon (4/5): Unfortunately not a good experience for me too noisy - No, breakfast, location was good The noise, the boiler and pump were below the apartment and the mid to high frequency of the equipment resonated throughout the apartment, did not sleep well. Would not recommend for light sleepers.

• Sharyn (1/5): The flat felt grubby and money grabbing, not prepared for guests - The location was walking distance to Virginia Waters The bed was comfy It did not look like the pictures It had cob webs and towel rail was dirty and dusty, the windows were full of cobwebs It was basically some one’s back room It smelt of mould and damp to the point that I hardly slept and felt sick It was not worth the money Bottles of body wash were empty No effort had been made to be a rental property The balcony looked rotten and unsafe could be an accident waiting to happen The bedroom stunk of damp

• Helen (5/5): Very strange place and an odd experience - it was cheap and it''s a good job it was! - The location was excellent the room was large and spacious. Reasonably equipped but no bottle opener or corkscrew and only 2 saucepans so don't attempt to do much food prep. To be honest the photographs were nothing like the actual place, the garden was unkempt with washing lying all around the lovely stone balustrades, the swimming pool was empty with rubbish and broken furniture in it and as it was the view from the room it was rather depressing. In addition there was a strange chemical smell in the room which dissipated when the windows were open however on arriving home the next day and unpacking our clothes smelled really strongly of the same odour - I did report it to the owners but did not get a satisfactory answer.
• Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Clear instructions good communication nice amount of space to park my medium Wheelbase sprinter , lovely place has a nice feeling about it ,homily. The apartment was spacious with double bed kitchen area office desk and chair, nice big shower room , constant hot water, and good water power . Also room had a balcony which was relaxing to sit out on in the sun and dream that I owned the place, oh well keep dreaming would stay again thanks

• Carol (8/5): Cosy, spacious and quiet room in safe area - Very spacious. Room has kitchen area and large desk for work with several wall sockets. 2 wardrobes and plenty of shelves. En suite bathroom is nice. View is of the garden and it is nice and quiet. Entrance is via gates so you need a key fob. Quiet and safe area with several nice restaurants in walking distance. Heating on all day. Jass was very helpful and friendly. Nothing to complain about.

A bistro type table and chairs and a rug might add to the overall comfort

• Gareth (5/5): Tired but adequate accommodation in very expensive area of the country. - The apartment smelt damp and there were bare wires sticking out of the wall in places. Looked like it wasn't yet quite finished. Parking convenient but finding the property in the dark was not easy.

• Dave (7/5): Great location for Wentworth, had a good night's sleep - The location was superb for my needs (a meal at Wentworth Golf Club). The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. The shower was also good and there was lots of hot water. The large windows meant there was plenty of light in the room. The room was large and so there was space for a bit more furniture (e.g. table to eat at). There was only one towel, a second towel (perhaps in the kitchen area) would have been helpful.
• Chris (6/5): Fine - did the job, and is well-located. - Very conveniently located a few minutes walk from Virginia Water shops, restaurants and station. Large and well-appointed apartment - and milk in the fridge - thanks! The bottle of wine was a kind thought (but I would have swapped it for heating and loo roll). It got quite cold and the heating was turned off. Also there was no toilet paper. The apartment smelt a little damp - it needs some regular heat now autumn is here.

• Peter (8/5): Comfortable stay. - Great location in a stunning house. Secure parking and very good communication from the owners. Excellent value for money in that area. It would have been nice if there was a table and a couple of chairs so we could make better use of the kitchen.

Filthy windows and floors, mirror in bathroom dirty as was the floor, stains on duvet cover and sofa, door lock to room difficult to use, balcony door did not lock, balcony with chairs unusable due to lack of cleaning, garden and grounds generally unkempt and untidy.

• Charlie (4/5): Good advertising, very bad delivery! - Entrance and walk around house to rear, location of room! It's not an apartment! Ex office turned in to bedroom. Very badly laid out. Bed beside counter with TV to side of bed. No locker, lamp or anything to make it feel comfortable. Kitchen sparsly fitted. No coffee/ t-bags or milk if one even had these with them. And remember, a little far from nearest shop. No live TV, only streaming. And for sum of the channels had to be signed up. Bin was full, and place was uncomfortable. House, beautiful on the outside, lovely gardens etc. This seems be xtra space that money can be made from, and is not treated as proper accommodation at any cost. Hate to say it, unless landlord makes changes, give it a MISS!!!

There was an electric fan heater and radiator but it could do with the central heating turned on now that the colder temperatures have arrived.

• Mirko (10/5): 5-star Host - I enjoyed my stay at Maywoods Apartments. The location was perfect for my needs. I'll be booking this place again when returning to the area. It would be great to share the exact location of the accommodation so it is easier to find it when arriving. I arrived at night so it was a bit harder to locate it, but the host was helpful with useful directions and I managed to check-in successfully.

• Stephanie (7/5): Lovely little apartment, friendly host, handy location for Virginia Water/Guards Polo/Ascot/Windsor - The location was perfect for our needs. Jess was an excellent communicator and, although he wasn't there to meet us in person, he was available by phone to let us enter the property remotely (very trusting!). The property was just what we needed being close to the Guards Polo Club where we were attending an event. It was relatively easy to find, I used Google maps aerial view to confirm the actual location as it was dark when we arrived. The let is very new, so there are a few small details that will be improved I am sure... but nothing that would cause me to not recommend to others. Jess even offered to leave us some bits and bobs like milk, tea etc.,. The bathroom was excellent. There was nothing I disliked, but a couple of constructive comments for the host. The kitchen area needs at least one saucepan. The bedding can be improved. Some of your guests may like a TV and I know it is on the host's list, it didn't bother us that there wasn't one. Wifi would be appreciated as the phone signal (at least EE) was very poor in the area. Maybe a couple of lights outside on the route to the door would be a good idea for your future development. The apartment is lovely and could be exceptional with a couple of small extra touches.
• Michael (9/5): Seperate room in exceptional private home/grounds - The host was helpful clear and enabled me to access the room with minimal fuss. The room was large, airy and clean, shower absolutely fine. Nothing to not like. It has a unique entrance but the host ensured this was never an issue.

• Susan (10/5): Comfortable, peaceful and convenient - Jass and his family were very welcoming and ensured that we were comfortable and had all we needed. The location is peaceful, private and secure but close to amenities and within 20 minutes of the airport which was the reason for our stay. The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was all good.
