• Carlanna (4/5): Dissappointing. - We could not find the location as there was no name on the front palazzo door. Called the host and he had to come out to meet us. We were a little taken back in that the room we were given was not the room shown on Booking. We were expecting a wonderful palazzo and we got an old and very tired apartment. Everything in there is extremely old and not comfortable.

Gian Lodovico è persona di estremo garbo e cultura. Qui si entra nella sua casa, che rimanda a viaggi per il mondo, ad un epoca che non c’è più e che durante il vostro soggiorno potrete di nuovo assaporare. Ogni quadro, ogni fotografia ogni scultura è un pezzo della sua vita. L’appartamento è ampio come il suo vissuto, le finestre dominano il mare e l’abitato nuovo. Qui siete nel vecchio borgo, discreto, ventilato, silenzioso. Un buen ritiro dove perdersi nello scorrere di un tempo lento. Emozionante

• TROUBAT (10/5): Séjour dans un lieu magique - Séjour dans un Palazzo, entouré de belles objets d’art, des magnifiques couleurs, en dominant Amantea, dans le centre historique. Les hôtes sont des gens extrêmement cultivés et sympathiques, parlent plusieurs langues et sont la pour vous aider si besoin. Je n’oublierai jamais cet endroit magique. J’ai tout aimé.
• Serena (4/5): Pulizia assente - Sicuramente la struttura essendo una dimora nobiliare è molto particolare e suggestiva. Molto bella la vista sul mare. Pulizia praticamente assente, era tutto molto impolverato e trascurato. Lenzuola macchiate. Il bagno sarebbe da sistemare, non è presente neanche una tenda per la doccia.

Sorry to say the old world charm was lost on me with the state of the bathroom and laundry area , urgent need of upgrade!!! trip hazards throughout the apt and no AC! The lady owner was quite condescending when we mentioned it to her. Don't be fooled by the pics!!
• Katherine (10/5): Clean, comfortable, pleasant, thoughtfully provisioned, plus original art and a mini library. - The view was great, of course. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment we didn't need because we weren't there long enough to cook for ourselves. The towels were large, and the place was so quiet I didn't realize it was raining. Loved browsing the book selection, and it was very cool to be in a building that was already old when a local sailor joined the expedition of Christopher Columbus. The owner was pleasant, helpful, and responsive. The only thing that didn't work well for us would be tough to fix. It would have been nice to sit on the sofa to chat, but the couch is in the main bedroom -- not a deal-buster but a little quirky. Our conversation spots were chairs by the window and the ample dining table.

• Martin (9/5): Amazing palazzo. It’s worth staying indoors for some of your stay. - Palazzo Carratelli is a marvellous old building. Our flat had an exquisite view over the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is tastefully decorated and there are several original pieces of art in display. The kitchen would benefit from improved lighting. The town of Amantea takes some getting to know but is mostly worth it.

• Linda (8/5): Great for a long stay during less hot summer days - Artistic touch in the apartment The apartment was fully equipped for kitchen, bathroom, and cleaning items Very clean and spacious apartment with fabulous view Kindness and preparedness of the host Location close to the most famous Gelateria For the very hot summer days, 1 floor level ventilator was not sufficient for the size of the apartment. Opening the windows resulted in a wave of mosquitoes so we had to buy vape for each room. We could not sleep at all. In the bed attached to the wall, wall paint was coming out on the pillow after only one night of sleeping on it. Fridge was not in a good shape perhaps because of the very hot weather that particular week of August

• Timothy (7/5): Spacious apartment in the hills of historic center, with excellent views of the city and sea. - Excellent views, spacious, very interesting historical property, short walk to excellent bar/gelateria, walking distance to center of town, adequate street parking, friendly, helpful hosts. Slow internet (insufficient for streaming), quirky layout, antiquated kitchen and bathroom, wet room shower. Air circulation/breeze through open windows provides some cooling, but lack of air conditioning is a but problematic.
