Guest Reviews
- Louise (9/5): very enjoyable stay in a good location. - Kitchen utensils were a bit sparse. Not enough wine glasses!
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Great location, fantastic property and a very helpful property management company. - The space and layout downstairs for the 5 of us, the comfort of the lounge and the exceptional selection of DVD's and books during our stay. Whilst I have not dealt with Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages before, I found them to be excellent and better than any previous experiences with other property rental companies. Unfortunately I can see no way around due to the layout of the property, but the smaller 3rd bedroom becomes uncomfortably hot as the boiler and hot water tank are in a cupboard in that room. In order for our daughter to have a good nights sleep we ended up turning of both the heating and hot water during the night.
- Howard (8/5): Really good choice for us. - Really lovely house in a great location. Very roomy downstairs with comfy sofas, stove, and generously large TV. Great kitchen and dining space. A little less spacious upstairs. The landing shower needs repairing so we had to share the en suite one between us all. Fine as we are family but wouldn't have been as easy with a group of friends for example. Also the boiler and cylinder in the single bedroom is very noisy and resonates through into the twin too. Might be good to explore the cost of moving that downstairs somewhere away from sleeping areas.
- Sarah (8/5): A lovely house in a stunning location - The location of the house at the quiet end of the High Street, just a minute from the beach was perfect. The downstairs rooms were beautifully furnished and spacious. The main bedroom was also of a high standard.
Kitchen was well equipped.
The host company were easily contacted and solved a problem with the beds without delay or question. The 2 smaller bedrooms were poorly furnished - no wardrobe or dressing table, not up to the standard of the rest of the house.
The shower in the main bathroom lacked power.
We could only find one dustbin and no facility for sorting food waste or recycling.
There was a lack of homely touches - eg a welcome pack, salt and pepper - perhaps an indication of being managed by a rental company rather than an individual host
- Victoria (9/5): A wonderful, dog friendly, family space in a fantastic location. We will return to this beautiful cottage! - The location and layout is amazing. Nice decor. The master bedroom is absolutely beautiful. We loved the front courtyard seating and sat out there looking at the stars and listening to the sea at night. The shared, small space at the rear of property as weren’t able to take dog out there (but fine as took the dog out for stroll by the beach). We felt for the price, there could have been a welcome basket or at least basics in like salt/pepper in the mills and tea/coffee in the tins.
- Iain (8/5): Very good -
