Guest Reviews
- Paulin (7/5): - Petite chambre privée très bien pour une nuit Mitigeur de douche très compliqué à gérer, faible pression d’eau dans la douche
- Antonio (8/5): -
- Trudi (8/5): It was great to spend time by the sea (2km away) & the price was good value. We will stay again. - The facilities were great for the price. The owners, who live in the house (our room was connected to the house) were home most of the time we were there & didn't interact with us much. Depends if you prefer interaction with the owners or not. It was great to have free NETFLIX & great tea & coffee (not instant) & a percolator included. Lovely under cover area outside our room to sit at with chairs & a table. We would stay again. It would have been great to get fresh towels each day & a face washer. If I'd known there was no face washer provided I would have brought my own. We are smokers & there was no smoking allowed anywhere on the property despite there being a nice outdoor area to sit at so we had to go outside the property to smoke.
- Sue (9/5): -
- Allison (5/5): - Didn't really like it but it served the purpose Cramped. Had to wash our hands in the kitchen sink after going to the toilet
- Pompey (7/5): Good location - Convenient location, private. The noise from people using the laundry given the room is adjacent to this area.
- Shane (7/5): Was after a couple quiet days alone after a short hospital stay - Clean quiet and comfortable N/a
- Mariana (7/5): - Location and price was good Abit on the small side and a few to many rules if your going away to relax .
- Maria (8/5): -

- Hadewig (9/5): - Very clean room, comfortable bed, good communication with owners Noise from busy street
- Barry (8/5): Suited us nice for this trip - Very clean and tidy. Suited us for this weekend Shower was too small, no room for oversize person to bend go clean feet properly. Bed was a little too soft. Had to park a little too far away in the street as it was raining when we were packing up
- azucena (6/5): To expensive for the location - ..... Cost
- Maria (9/5): - Cozy, comfortable & clean. Close distance to our family who reside in Redcliffe. Perfect for our needs.
Easy to communicate with the owner. No concerns.
- Susanne (9/5): -

- Rosemary Sehl (9/5): The Redcliff Homestay was exactly what was depicted in the photos. A comfortable place to stay. - Location was perfect for what I needed. Facilities clean and well kept. Pet friendly a big plus for traveling. Communications were clear and directions spot on. Good AC. A homely atmosphere, good hot shower and everything needed for a stay. A neat and tidy room, big enough for myself and a dog. There was nothing to dislike about the accommodation.
- Sheryl (9/5): Great stay in Redcliffe - A very comfortable stay with everything that I needed. A clean comfortable bed, a hot shower with good pressure a kitchenette that was very handy with a microwave , kettle and toaster with a deep sink for washing up. Great location with public transport nearby. Small shower and no vanity basin in the bathroom.
- Sonia Frances (10/5): - I liked the self check in service. A nice small self contained room at an ideal location.
- Mathew (6/5): 👍🏿 - The room was to small really for us couple and I think you shared the owners kitchen and lounge room plus there is rules like no noise after 8 pm you could also here banging of cupboards and draws slamming in the main house but basically it’s a rent a room with on-suite .

- Danielle (8/5): What more could you ask for ☺️ - Super comfortable bed with lovely clean bedding. Nice layout, with cosy space and everything you'll need supplied. Love that it came with wifi and free access to streaming services. Decently sized kitchenette with a large jar of filtered rain water included (this I absolutely LOVED). I didn't use the laundry but appreciated that it has one and spacious, too. Plenty of street parking available and walking distance to shops/cafes and a botanical Gardens across the road. A pathway from the driveway, through the gate leading up to the patio, would be nice. Its current state made it difficult to get my heavy suitcase and belongings to and from the car.
- farm (9/5): Comfortable and cosy beds, - excellent No basin in bathroom, no milk in fridge
- Abby (7/5): -
- Purps (10/5): -
- Marcella (8/5): Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Would recommend the stay - Very clean. Close to where I had to go. Bit dark outside at night when I got back from an event.
- Sigrid (8/5): - Thank you to Redcliffe Homestay for their generosity and help. I was unable to make my booking last minute and they refunded the cleaning fee very kindly with short notice.
Thank you
- Tracey (8/5): Good - Close to where I needed to be Noisy main road
No wash hand basin
- Leiman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ken (5/5): Don't go there - Not much I couldn't find any tv channels. The shower head would not stay in place and the water temperature would run hot and cold
- Ulisses (10/5): Excelente - Super clean, was worthy the money for sure. Shower, just need some little small maintenance, it wasn’t stopping in the right shower position.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy, nice and quiet, owners and cleaners were so lovely
- Malloy (7/5): Good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): A little gem of a Homestay! - Easy check in.
Clean and tidy with all you need for a short stay.
Self contained room with kitchenette with access to laundry. Additional access to the main lounge and kitchen should you wish to use it.
Super comfortable bed and crisp fresh bedding.
Easy to find and location good to explore the Peninsula.
Easy commute to local towns and beaches on the bay and 20 minute walk to Redcliffe centre.
Recommended with thanks:) The only thing I can think of here is the occasional drop in WiFi connection which impacted on watching TV. Could well be weather related though.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ash (7/5): Good - Comfy bed and convenient location.
- Gail (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Lou (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Brock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Davidson (10/5): Exceptional - Very neat & clean, has everything you need, even though it is on a main street we didn't hear the traffic. The parking was a disappointment as we have a new Ford Ranger & had to park on the street..
But other than that we were very happy with our stay.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Great location right on the circle bus route. Had everything I needed for a short stay. The addition of a single hob would be beneficial (in my opinion).
- Francoise (9/5): Lovely stay. You wouldn’t want to take more than one large dog, not enough space. -
- Jodi (10/5): I’ll be back for another stay - Convenience, privacy, location
- Jodi (10/5): Perfect place to stay with animals or without animals - Everything it’s gated, it’s clean, it’s value for money Can’t think of anything
- Peter (10/5): great room well set up good area - We found the Room very comfortable and the location easy to get around to all parts of Redcliffe The price of the Room which I got discounted was to our budget in comparison to the other motel in area quite expensive . This Room is set up so you could stay there and be self efficient for a week or more The only complaint I have is that the room is next to laundry and when we were there they were doing some washing and the washing machine was a little noisy
- Garry (8/5): It was ideal for what we needed - Good value for the money and we were able to have our fur baby with us Shower was very small
- Kathryn (10/5): Comfortable, clean, convenient and affordable pet-friendly room with private amenities in Redcliffe. - The location was excellent, walking distance to Esplanade and very convenient for us to visit family. The room was everything that we needed, especially as we were out and about a lot and just needed a comfy bed, private amenities, access to laundry, a cuppa in the morning, a lovely outdoor table and chairs and a welcoming room for our pet to stay. Our hosts were friendly and our room was lovely and clean. We loved the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel they provided. Nothing really.
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Dorothy (5/5): Spartan decor but adequate for somewhere to sleep at night. - There was no password for WiFi so I used 2GB of data on my own phone Plane was late, outside light needed as I had to disturb next door occupant for assistance with lockbox.
Only one mirror above kitchen sink, difficult to put on make-up as had to lean over too far.
No handbasin in bathroom so had to clean teeth etc in kitchen sink.
Maybe small carton of milk to make a cup of tea as shops were closed.
Even a motion detector light in front yard to show unneven terrain to prevent trip hazard.
Directions to nearest bus stop would be handy as advise against your own car due to limited parking spaces.
Tiny television and no armchair, just two tiny high stools.
Otherwise satisfactory stay.
- Colin (8/5): Great for our needs. - Breakfast was not included and we supplied our own. Location was excellent for us. Door lock code code have been provided in initial booking confirmation
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (10/5): Lovely place for a family of 5. - Plenty of room for a family of 5. Facilities and location were perfect. Only a few minutes from the function we were attending. Very grateful we had the option to check in early. Nothing
- O'brien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peta (10/5): Exceptional - Anastasiya and Brenton were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, amazing people! Location was close to food options, water views and Redcliffe hospital. Our room was excellent! Perfect size, clean, presentable, everything we needed for our stay was accommodated for.
- Rachael (6/5): Serves a purpose for somewhere to lay your head. - It served its purpose for somewhere to lay our heads of a night. The lack of space was utilised well by the owners. Location was central to where else we had many fellow family and friends staying, which was great as we were in town for a wedding. However, the street noise is quite loud if you're a light sleeper. The lack of space, however this was probably also my own fault for not paying attention to the m2 of the property.
The shower is very small, and we are not large people (11 yr old girl and myself).
The bed is very soft, and I'm unsure if it were due to this or another reason, but I also found myself when laying in it on a 'lean' off to the side of the bed. Again, I'm not an overly large or heavy person.
Killing a massive cockroach crawling over us in bed on the last night was definitely off-putting!
A car parked on the nature strip out the front of the property, which looked as though it weren't being driven often/if at all, kept having an alarm going off.
The property is non-smoking, inside or outside on the 'patio' area, which I was aware of, and information provided stated to smoke out on the footpath. However, the butt bucket that I'd bought purposely from a shop prior to arriving (so as I wasn't flicking butts onto the nature strip or road) that I was keeping outside of the property to respect not having dirty cigarette smoke in the property was removed on me and I can only guess, thrown away. Having only smoked 2 cigarettes 'at the accommodation' over the 3 nights there, in hindsight, I should have just littered the environment or stunk out the bin in the room.
As already mentioned, we were in town for a family wedding, and between all the guests and family staying in Redcliffe, we'd booked quite a large number of varying accommodation and this accommodation was definitely the most overpriced and not worth the money at $150 per night. My daughter and I were not able to get ready for the wedding at the property due to the lack of space. I wouldn't stay there again at all.
- Adrian (8/5): On the whole we enjoyed our time there. - N/A Bed was pretty ordinary ☹️
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margo (9/5): Superb -
- Judy (8/5): Pleasant for two nights - Very pleasant owners, offers of driving me to a couple, places.
Recommend as pleasant place to stay for a short period of time Washing machine or dryer behind my bedroom wall going for ages when I was trying to get some sleep after a long day of travelling
- Lily (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good - The Host is Beautiful & Friendly quick to Fix anything that's goes Wrong... Washing machine going on @ 5-45pm till 7.30pm on Monday night, very noisey next to me...Shower Arm kepted falling Down....host came & Fixed it again & it came down a little bit again the night before I left, I did suggest to host a Hand held shower it would solve the problem of the long Arm Shower Dropping Down.....it's only a Tiny Shower not much room...& I'm not a big person.... It would work better if the Microwave be up on the Bench than on the Shelve Low facing the High Stools hard to get Food out of Microwave ....Why not have Chairs instead of High stools not really Comfortable for an Elderly Couple staying & a Standard Table...
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Great facility
Great value
- Dunlop (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gay (8/5): Very good - It has everything you need for a comfortable stay Street parking but it was easy to find a park
- Lou (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (8/5): Perfect for what I needed, comfortable, good location for me, all essentials covered. -
- Dean (10/5): Decent place, good location, clean, responsive host. Would stay again - The bed. Location. Facilities. No complaints
- Christopher (10/5): Very comfortable. Great for 1 or 2 people. - My hosts were very friendly and helpful.
You would not know they were there.
Great location and close to public tranport if you don't drive. nothing
- Gaby (10/5): I recommend staying here if ever you need somewhere close to the beaches and shops. - Both Anastasiya and Brenton helped me out when I needed things. Both are very polite and helpful. Brenton helped me with internet issues and Anastasya loaned me an iron/ironing board and allowed me to use the washing machine before needing to do her own laundry. There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay there.
- Margaret (8/5): Overall good - Very clean. Very nice people. Morning light bleeding into room.
No breakfast. No milk.
No iron.
- Martin (7/5): Satisfactory - Quiet, despite being on a main road. Shaving at the kitchen sink.
- Mcfeat (5/5): Get what you pay for I guess. - Reasonable price, clean premises.
OK location but definately need car.
Hospital close, lucky not needed. Tiny room, fridge small and nowhere to cook as door locked through to share? kitchen.
No bathroom sink having to use kitchen sink for everything.Outside area needs some TLC.
Maybe replace mattress as existing not comfortable.
- Lynn (10/5): One night stop in the best bed of our trip. - The bed was so comfortable, fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. We had the small room which is great for a short stay, good outside area to sit in.
Everything one needed was provided, better than expected as it was a last min booking. Had driven from the NSW border through stormy weather back to Sunny Coast, just couldn't drive any further, this was a haven. 6 hotels later this was the most comfortable bed :) Nothing
- Kylie (6/5): I would not rebook this property. - The room was clean and comfortable. I did not receive the email with the code for the lock box until after I had arrived, therefore had the wrong code - fortunately there was someone on the property that could help.
I found walking into someone's front yard being overlooked was uncomfortable for me.
There is also not parking on the property and the listing should reflect this - there was either footpath parking (full) or street parking. I would not have booked had this been reflected properly in the listing and to make matters worse street parking is under a tree and my car was covered in bird poo, leaves etc and had to be washed the following day.
This unit is very small and it is overpriced for what it offers.
- Sharon (8/5): It was relaxing and enjoyable and close to many things. - It was very easy to use the facilities. The unit had everything you could need. It was private and the host was quick to respond and nothing was too much trouble
- Hollie (10/5): Great little place - Considering you are in someone's home it didn't feel like that at all and is very private.
The bed is extremely comfy and I didn't want to get out and it is all very clean. Small little bathroom, shower is tiny but it does the job and is clean and well stocked with soaps and shampoo/conditioner.
TV on the wall with netflix etc all logged in which was a nice little touch and made life easier than logging in and out.
Well laid out and surprisingly spacious.
We did the Moreton Island trip from here and got picked up from the jetty and it was fab and alot quieter than staying in Brisbane. Shower head was a tad floppy but not a massive issue.
The room/location isn't well signposted and on arrival we weren't sure if we were at the right place, we were expecting to walk into a strangers home and them be like 'argh get out', although once we seen the keybox we were fine, think a few visitors also had this confusion when they knocked and we weren't the home owners.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Clean & Comfortable, Netflix was great, Quiet, The Host had put Patio light on for me as I was Arriving @ 8.30pm that Night, it was much Appreciated..I Would Recommed Redcliffe Homestay to My Friends..... Much better than some of the Motels I have Stayed in which had been Expensive.. Nothing 😊
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Wicks (4/5): Don't stay here!!! - A bed to sleep in The shower head kept falling down, no milk,no free toiletries,no bathroom basin, no sandwich maker. NOT value for money. It was very small!!
- Dsorrensen (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect in every way Nothing
- Martin (9/5): Clean, comfy great value - Good communications, fast responses. Easy to find. Friendly welcoming hosts. It's an older building but renovated and very clean. Good bed, mattress on the soft side. Fast wifi. Completely equipped kitchen. Super quiet and effective aircon. Private, I did not hear other guests or the owners....you have your own entrance. Traffic noise during the day but dies right down at night. Facilitated charging of my electric car for a small fee which is very convenient.
Exceptional value for money, would stay again. Usually there is always something but in this case: Nothing to complain about....except: Difficult to find switch for room lights (it's below the TV).
- Megan (10/5): Lovely stay thank you 🙏 -
