• Anna (10/5): - Lovely room, good size, comfy bed and beautiful floor tiles. There is a water dispenser in the kitchen so you don't have to buy so many plastic bottles which is a plus! The people working at Lavender were really friendly and helpful too 😊 Great location, easy walking distance to the cliff and so lots of restaurants/shopping to choose from and of course the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

• Emma (10/5): A great place to stay in a lovely location - Anu was so friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, big and clean, with quiet aircon and complimentary shampoo, soap and even toothpaste! There is water available in the kitchen which is well equipped, although I didn't use it. Anu gave brilliant advice on where to eat and offered to arrange any treatments or trips I wanted. He stayed up really late waiting for me to check in and was still cheerful and friendly. A really lovely introduction to Kerala! In a quiet street just give minutes from the main cliff area. Nothing

My headphones broke and he got me new ones. He was amazing. The room is big and clean the A/C worked well. There was a shared kitchen that was very clean...quiet in the evening....can't fault it...about a five minute walk to the cliff Nothing

• Plabita (9/5): Superb - The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They didn't create any unnecessary issues, unlike some other property owners we have encountered in the past. Even though we had an early check-in, it was smooth. The helper Amma is so sweet. She always greets us with a smile. We felt extremely welcomed there. The property owner helped us in arranging a two-wheeler and also an auto on the day of our return. The location is literally in walkable distance from the north cliff and Varkala beach. If you love walking, even black sand beach can be reached by foot easily. We feel for the standard amenities that they provide, the price is on a high side.
• Jason (10/5): We will be back next season to stay at lavender residency - Great location a 4 min walk from the beach, restaurants and shops and in the other direction 1 min to the main road for a tuk tuk, a street chai and the corner shop Very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was brilliant to have. Anu was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He arranged the laundry, taxi, scooter and is a lovely friendly guy We couldn’t fault it
• Peter (9/5): Well Recommended. - Nice room, nice place, helpful host. Location is a short convenient walk via a narrow path to the heart of the Breach cliff area. I arrived very early and staff facilitated getting my room ready fast. Room was fine, comfortable, clean, fan & aircon. Kitchen close by for fridge or own-food making as you wish. No breakfast included but happy to provide my own. No real negatives.

• Lucie (7/5): Good value for money and great location - Great location!! Super quiet and walking distance to all restaurants, shops and the main beach within 5 mins. We had a cockroach and a gecko in our room. This can happen of course, but may not be suited for light hearted visitors.
• Rosaline (8/5): A comfy stay. - Large room with wardrobe and comfy bed in good quiet location. Shared terrace in front of property and use of kitchen with mineral water available on tap. Lovely staff who were happy to provide extra sheet and towel. The bedroom had frosted bedroom windows. However it remained lovely and cool throughout the day. Some maintenance is required in property.

• Edward (10/5): Peaceful, quiet stay in a very clean hotel - Very comfortable, very clean, and a great location in a quiet street 5 minutes from the beach! For the price, we weren’t expecting Lavender to be as good as it was. Our room was big, had quiet AC, and was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful also. We would stay again! All positive :)

Nice to have a communal refrigerator. The bed is quite hard. The room I had urgently needs a refresh. I had expected a less dilapidated room. Considering the holiday pricing, it was very poor value. Come with cash, as the nearest ATM is a 19-minute walk away.

• Marni (10/5): Great value for money - Great, quiet location, back from the hustle and bustle, yet within easy walking distance of the cliff restaurants, beach and shops, via several alleys. Really comfortabe, firm bed; large room with A/C and ceiling fan. Kitchen with fridge&kettle shared with one other room. Anu keeps the place spotless and is always helpful and kind. He also booked us a taxi to our next destination. Thank you Would be nice to have a few hooks to hang clothes at the end of the day.

• Adarsh (9/5): Overall a nice place to stay if you are planning a short or long holiday. - I wanted a nice, quiet, clean place to stay and it ticked all the boxes. They have 4 rooms in total (2 each side with shared kitchen for 2 rooms, the reception area in the middle & ample parking space in front). There is a small balcony. Good privacy if you are with friends or family. It’s away from the noisy restaurants and very easy to walk to nearby restaurants and cliff/helipad. Anu in reception is a nice and friendly. He will help you if you need anything arranged. Hot water is there 24hours (thanks to solar heaters). Room has AC. No television. Overall a nice place to stay if you are planning a short or long holiday. AC was a bit noisy when it was on high fan setting. If you report any issues, they will sort it soon.
