Вид на океан очень условный, только с балкона сбоку Вилла находится довольно высоко, что бы добраться пешком нужно поднапрячься. Это не похоже на приятную прогулку, тем более что вечером нас встречало несколько собак, которые лаяли и вели себя агрессивно
• Svetlana (7/5): Нужно освежить ремонт и потдерживать чистоту. - Номер вполне не плохой , есть горячая вода, работает кондиционер. Не маленький. Хозяин и его дядя хорошие люди, но это не профессия) Номера уставшие. Элементарно не могут помыть стекла , вытереть пыль. Помыть Сплит систему. Мне интересно просто убраться это уже много? Я понимаю ремонт, это да нужны деньги плюс конец сезона типо на следующий год, но просто убраться? Расположение высоко, либо ходить либо тук туки, но это думаю в Уне много где.

• Lauren (10/5): super comfortable stay - super comfy beds, we slept so well! staff were really friendly and even let us charge our electric tuk tuk which helped us out a lot! unfortunately there was no breakfast available
• Jessica (7/5): - Das Zimmer ist schön und sehr groß. Die Lage liegt in mitten der Natur und ist sehr ruhig. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert gut. Das Hotel liegt schon ziemlich ab vom Schuss auf einem Berg. Man läuft schon ziemlich lange und nur bergauf oder man braucht jedesmal ein Tuktuk. Die Türen waren ein bisschen undicht und wir hatten einige Mücken im Zimmer

The place was clean, well furnished, and in a quiet area with a lovely garden and sea view from the upper floors. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. • Louis (6/5): - I’m not one to leave a bad review and just planned to not leave one, but after checking out I was pestered multiple times to leave a 10/10 review which wouldn’t be accurate. The staff are lovely Location is a bit out of the way so expect a walk up a very steep hill but manageable. Our main issue was the door didn’t close properly and left a few inch gap. We woke up to cockroaches in our room. When we raised this to the owner he told us the hotel is in harmony with nature so they may come. We liked that this hotel was more in the jungle than others on the coast but a closing door is bare minimum not just for stopping insects but also from a safety perspective.

• Sam (5/5): You get what you pay for- not much - The room was furnished to a good standard, with a comfortable bed and sofa. The room itself was large. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are looking for a quiet spot to get away from it all. The security Uncle is so kind, and often will sit up til late waiting for you to come back, to see you are back inside safely. He gave me an umbrella during the rainy days too, a top bloke. I was quite disappointed with the overall experience in the end. I booked knowing that the hotel didn't have a swimming pool, nor provided breakfast. That was okay with me, as it gave me incentive to get some exercise walking down the steep hill to the beach cafes and the sea each morning. As others have said, if you are too unfit or a bit elderly, the steep incline is going to be too much to handle. So far so good, I thought. Paid 230 usd for 7 nights, so I wasn't expecting the Ritz. However, after about 3 nights i became quite dissatisfied at how literally nothing was done during my stay......no room cleaning, no fresh water bottles even just left outside on the balcony until i explicitly kept asking, same with running out of toilet roll. After 4 nights, the owner asked me if i wanted the room cleaned and I said yes. Came back, and the bed hadn't been made, and apart from my toiletries being put in a neat line, it didn't look like anything had actually been cleaned. I understand it's a tropical climate, so the lizards didn't bother me too much, and i killed the cockroach quick enough, but maybe if there was some regular cleaning it would discourage the hotel from turning into an animal sanctuary? The last night was the crescendo....i thought a moth or fly was in the room, until i turned the light on.....another cockroach had ran across my chest in the bed! Surely it must be very cheap to hire a cleaner on a daily basis. There is a lot of potential with this property, but the only time the owner guy became quite motivated was when he requested the last 10,000 rupees from me. I wish he brought the same energy when ensuring the guests had a great stay! It was quite annoying to be "chased" for the money because i had already provided my credit card details on booking.com.....the hotel had chosen not to take payment, so I came willing to pay on card upon arrival on my first night. Was told they preferred cash!

Our stay was great, the room was very nice and clean If your coming with luggage be prepared to walk up spiral stairs however I cannot fault the host as he helped us with luggage both times and was so helpful and kind

The beach is just a short walk away, and you can easily explore the surrounding area without needing transport. Restaurants, cafes, and shops are all nearby. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and well maintained, with enough space to relax properly. The balconies add a lovely touch, making the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. They also provide parking, which is very convenient. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Unawatuna great comfort, excellent location, and good value for money🌊☀️
• Catherine (6/5): Fine - Friendly owner When we arrived we were positively surprised by the size of the room and its initial appearance however we then noticed the room was not super clean and there was an ant issue on the balcony and the window was broken so the bathroom became very wet due to rain. We thought the location would be fine given we like walking but it is a very steep hill and then a busy main road to get to the beach/town and even the owner couldn’t get us a tuk tuk/ taxi with our bags when we needed to check out. We don’t like leaving bad reviews but we just want to be honest.

Everything was very clean and super cozy, we truly felt at home. I could truly feel the love for detail in the interior design. There were plenty of shelves and storage spaces, cute paintings on the walls, and the colors matched beautifully. It was really decorated with so much care and love! A special highlight was the spacious room and the constant hot water with great water pressure - even on the 4th floor! The location is nice: close to the center yet in a quiet area (little uphill). The hosts also kindly helped us arrange a scooter rental. We would definitely come back! Honestly, nothing really. There were just a few ants in the room, which didn’t bother us at all and is completely understandable given the location in nature.

Es war mir unmöglich ein Tuk Tuk für den abendlichen Spaziergang über Pickme oder Uber zu buchen - liegt aber leider generell an der Tuk-Tuk-Mafia-Situation welche ich in ganz Unawatuna am krassesten wahrgenommen habe. Der Besitzer war aber durchaus hilfsbereit und hat mir zu den gleichen Preisen wie auf der App zeitgleich eine Fahrer organisiert! Kann dem also kein Punktabzug geben.

It is a small oasis of calm, located up the hill away from the hustle of the town, surrounded by jungle and palm trees with a great view from the rooftop. The interior is stylish, new and modern. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. The price is very reasonable, offering great value for money. The hotel manager was an exceptional host—very friendly and helpful, with excellent coordination throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Unawatuna!

On the ground floor, there is a lack of privacy as people are constantly walking by. The location is very inconvenient; the guesthouse is situated on a hill. The staff were friendly and supportive. Worthy for the amount paid. They didn’t have a restaurant. But there are lots of options available in UberEats. The route to reach the place wasn’t that easy. Hence the pick me or Uber drivers won’t pick your ride. Ask the staff. They will find you a tuktuk without any hesitation.

• Rodrigo (6/5): It was alright but I would on principle stay elsewhere next time. - The room was comfortable. The gentleman running the hotel overcharged us a bit for the room but since we couldn't communicate with him we ended up paying him the extra 15 dollars and didn´t make a fuss. The property is really out of the way which makes a challenge for some of the tuktuks. Also no breakfast place nearby or supermarket if you stay here stock up before you make it back to the hotel.
• Gennadii (8/5): You should definitely try staying in this accommodation. - Wonderful sea view from the terrace. Comfortable room. Renovation. Safe private territory. Quiet. Spiral staircase is beautiful but impractical. Lack of catering or food facilities. Hard to get a taxi from there.

• Darleen (7/5): Good - Kind staff and nice room. Short way to the main street. Scooter rental available. Unfortunately the staff doesn't speak much english. Also we stayed for 5 nights and the room was never cleaned. The hotel is abit hard to reach up a hill.
• Mandy (8/5): Clean, modern stay with a hiccup in location, but the helpful staff smoothed things out. - The accommodation was exceptionally clean, spacious, and modern. We particularly appreciated the bathroom, which stood out as the best among all the places we stayed during our three-week visit to Sri Lanka. The location posed challenges, as tuk tuk drivers consistently charged extra for navigating the mountainous road to reach the property. Fortunately, the hotel staff assisted us in arranging reliable tuk tuks, and we saved their contact for future pickups at a fair price

• Siwei (5/5): nice outside,but the infrastructure needs to be improved. - the hotel is newly built, the staff is polite. the sheet smells not good. they don't provide shampoo or shower gel. the most important thing is that the location! it's on the hill, you cannot drive to the hotel,you need to take tuk tuk, but the hotel gives you a super high price for the tuk tuk. you need to walk in the dark road for 10 mins, then there is a restaurant.
• Catherine (7/5): It was ok but really difficult to access and nothing to do in that specific vicinity. You need to go to Unawatuna or Gal - The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and easy going. The view from the room was beautiful It was really far from everything and getting a tuk tuk to take me back was nearly impossible as they don’t like mountain roads. Also the internet didn’t work at all the first day. There’s nothing at the hotel (no kitchen, no pool, no club room) where I can chill.
• Nicholas (8/5): Lovely stay in Unawatuna - The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The room itself was equipped with everything you would need. If you get a moped, the location is 5 mins away from everything we wanted to go to in Unawatuna. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is located on a very steep hill which would have been a bit of a nightmare if we weren’t happy to get mopeds.
• Daisy (7/5): Clean & comfortable although be aware of the big hill leading up to the property. - Yanan was a very polite and attentive young man, very helpful and was always there when we needed him! The property is clean and comfortable and very well kept. Up a big hill which was problematic for tuktuks, bikes are essential to get about. The hotel is currently going through building stages,however, I imagine when it’s complete it will be brilliant.

• Kimberly (9/5): Superb - *We checked in quite early and the room was ready for us. *Guy helped us with the luggage too. * In the evening we ordered a take away and he provided forks for us. *Bed was super comfy and the AC worked quite well. *In the room there was only one towel (instead of two), there was no rubbish and no toilet paper either (later the latter was provided when we asked for it). *You definitely need transport to go up there. Don't wanna imagine myself walking up there..we had a tuktuk so it worked out just fine. *There were ants on the bathroom towel when we arrived...had to use my repellent to get rid of them as there were many.
