• Peter (10/5): 5 star luxury in a heritage mansion with an amazing host in a beautiful setting. - We had an absolute wonderful stay in this newly renovated mansion. Ronnie our host was amazing. Nothing was too much for him. He genuinely wants to make sure you have the best time while staying in his home. We were given whiskey drinks and cake on arrival and introduced to his beautiful poodles, Teddy and George. The breakfast he cooked each morning was superb with everything set out like a 5 star restaurant. He even drove us into the town of Cobh to save us having to find a park. We have been in lots of bnbs during our travels and we would have to say this has been the best of the lot thanks to Ronnie’s attention to detail, love of meeting new people and genuine care for the people who come to stay. If you intend coming to the Cork area this is a must visit. Fantastic value for money, first class accommodation and views and fantastic conversations. We absolutely loved everything
• David S. (10/5): Incredible hospitality and beautiful property - This place was awesome. The owners were one in a million - even so far as to give us a lift to the train to ensure we didn't have to wait for the next train, and a welcome cocktail. Water pressure was awesome, food was great, and we especially loved the gardens all around the house. We would definitely return here and would have certainly wanted to spend more than just one night here. P.s. if you stay here, set aside AT LEAST one day to explore Cobh and one for Cork. We rushed a bit and only spent one day exploring both. Nothing.

Ronnie and Ahmed have decorated the house beautifully and they were very generous hosts. They welcome you into their house and make you feel part of it (two gorgeous dogs included!) Room was super large with views of the river from every window and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing, it was brilliant

Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the friendly atmosphere made the experience even more special. The host (Ronnie) was  incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The accommodation itself was comfortable, spotless, and full of charm, creating the perfect relaxing getaway. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high standards with such personal and heartfelt service. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Cobh. • Pamela (9/5): This is a showcase case of 100% hospitability - The location was super, just a short walk from the bars, shops and facilities of Cobh with amazing sea views. Our host Ronnie (Ronay in french) was beyond hospitable, he took the time to welcome us, ensure that we had everything that we needed and exceeded hospitability during breakfast we did not want for anything during our short sejour, I wish we had of had more time
• Stefan (10/5): - Tolles Haus mit super Lage. Beim Frühstück mit Blick auf's Meer. Parken direkt am Haus. Sehr netter Gastgeber der alle Wünsche erfüllt. Da wir sehr spät ankamen reservierte Ronnie uns einen Tisch im Restaurant und fuhr uns auch noch dort hin. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker und wurde auf Wunsch mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet. Eine der besten Unterkünfte auf unserer Reise. Der Whisky war auch sehr lecker . Danke Absolut nichts

Sehr zu empfehlen! - Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick auf den East Channel, es ist liebevoll und mit sehr viel Stil eingerichtet. Das Stadtzentrum ist fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Herz des Hauses ist aber der Gastgeber, der einem den Aufenthalt mit seiner warmen Art, den Tipps und dem unglaublich leckeren Frühstück zu etwas Unvergesslichen macht. Danke hierfür!
• Tracey (10/5): Ronnie was very welcoming. - Ronnie was a great host and was very welcoming. It is a lovely old home and they have done a lot of work in it to make it special. Drive way entry is narrow (typical of most driveways we have encountered).
• Catherine (10/5): A hidden gem - What an absolute little gem. This B&B was absolutely amazing set in a lovely locations with views out across the bay. Ronnie (the host) was friendly, funny, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was brand new and had just been renovated. It was massive with plenty of light from the massive new windows and plenty of space. The bed was super comfy (which was a god send as we were doing a lot of walking) The bathroom was superb, really nicely decorated, a bath with a view and a separate large shower. The property was spotless. Breakfast was fantastic, Ronnie caters for all appetites. I can definitely recommend the full Irish breakfast. There was nothing bad about this property, the only detractor during our stay was the windy weather which Ronnie has no control over

• VALENTINA (10/5): - Ronnie è stato meraviglioso in tutto: accogliente, gentile, molto simpatico. Ci ha coccolate dall'arrivo fin quando ce n'è siamo andate. La villa è spettacolare, sia esternamente, che all'interno. Finemente arredata e curata in ogni dettaglio e complemento, accogliente , bellissima e curata nei colori. Il dettaglio di ogni oggetto non è casuale. L'aperitivo di benvenuto è stato servito sui divanetti davanti al bovindo,con vista. La colazione è servita in un posto a sorpresa, a dir poco sensazionale. Il cibo era ottimo, cucinato con attenzione. Una colazione senza glutine difficile da trovare altrove. Una tavola imbandita senza precedenti. Un'esperienza sensoriale sotto tutti i punti di vista.

Guesthouse is fantastic with a super view of the waterfront from the house and the garden. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was top class with great service. Ronnie was very flexible in response to requests and the offers of tea, coffee, whiskey and cake on arrival added to the stay. Overall very friendly and a great place to stay.

• Em (10/5): Beautiful charm and comfort by the seaside - The house is beautifully decorated with lots of character and charm. We stayed in the deluxe room with a sea view and it was very spacious and comfortable. We had a a really good nights sleep and the view is wonderful. Ronnie and Ahmed are great hosts and make you feel very welcome. They are also very kind and warm people The breakfast was amazing and as we are both Vegan, Ronnie did not hesitate to ensure he was able to cater for us. They, even phoned a local restaurant for us to check if it had some vegan options on the menu. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakhurst bed and breakfast.

• Tom (10/5): Charming Victorian Guest house. - Upon our arrival we were greeted by Ronnie and were made very welcome. This is a lovely Charming Victorian Guest house. Then we were shown to our room and Ronnie showed us where everything was the room was very clean and tidy. Later on we had arranged to meet friends in town, Ronnie even offered to drive us in. When we arrived back we were just about to head up to our room when Ronnie came out of the sitting room and asked us if we would like a nightcap, we said yes that would be very nice. We then were joined by Ahmad & the 2 gorgeous Golden Doodles, we chatted for about an hour in the lovely Charming victorian sitting room. In the morning Ronnie made us the most fabulous breakfast. We would most definitely come back here again and would recommend to others. Thank you to Ronnie & Ahmed for a wonderful enjoyable stay here. Nothing to Dislike

• Holger (10/5): Schöner Aufenthalt in einem herausragenden B&B - Ein tolles B&B mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Ronnie, unser Gastgeber, war äußerst freundlich. Sein Frühstück war eines der besten, welches wir bislang auf unseren Irlandreisen hatten. Vorweg gab es immer einen frischen Smoothie. Am Vorabend wurde abgestimmt, was wir frühstücken möchten. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Bad, es war angenehm groß und sauber. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. In 10 Minuten ist der Bahnhof zu Fuß erreichbar, (wir sind nach Cork gefahren) und in das Stadtzentrum läuft man ein wenig länger. Wir werden hier sicherlich wieder übernachten. ./.

Oakhurst is beautifully decorated and we got to enjoy the delicious breakfast Ronnie cooked each morning in the lovely conservatory overlooking the water. Ronnie was exceptionally hospitable and gave us some great tips about what to see and do in the area. For us, getting a bit of doggy time with George and Teddy was also a bonus. Faultless, really.

They went above and beyond our expectations by providing a ride to and from the local restaurant where we had dinner. We enjoyed our conversations with them, and their absolutely beautiful home! Lastly, we got our dog fix with their playful Goldendoodles George and Teddy! 😀 Nothing...really nothing at all!

• David (10/5): Estuvimos tan agusto que parecía que estabamos alojados en casa de un familiar - Ronnie fue nuestro anfitrión y nos recibió con la mejor actitud. Simpático, servicial, con interés sobre nuestro viaje. Nos advirtió que en la casa viven también dos perros Teddy y George, como nos encantan los perros nos tomamos un aperitivo con el anfitrión y los perros. Nos encantó. Nos dejamos aconsejar por Ronnie para elegir nuestra cena y nos reservó él mismo. El desayuno fue simplemente espectacular. Creemos que nos hemos enamorado de Cobh en parte por la amabilidad y servicio que recibimos en este alojamiento. Sin duda volveríamos.

Das liebevoll zubereitete Frühstück war einfach fantastisch und außergewöhnlich! Die herrliche Ruhe haben wir besonders geschätzt – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Ein idealer Ort zum Abschalten, die Hunde George und Teddy haben sofort unser Herz erobert. Herzlichen Dank an Ronnie und Ahmad für die unvergesslich schöne Zeit – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

From the warm greeting, to the welcome beverage, Oakhurst was a lovely place to stay. The breakfast was amazing. We were served in the conservatory, with a beautiful view over Cobh. Finest ingredients, exquisitely presented, with all the condiments and extras that you could want to heighten the flavours of your chosen meal. The bed was so comfortable, we slept soundly. I have to mention George and Teddy. Two beautiful golden doodles (Groodles). As dog lovers, we made instant friends. You must stay here. Must. Nothing to not like

The location of the guesthouse is ideal for exploring the area and both the house and property are gorgeous. The linens were of excellent quality, breakfast was amazing and served in a stunning room with huge windows. The common area for guests was absolutely lovely. The 2 golden doodles, George and Teddy were so friendly and a huge bonus for us dog lovers! We really enjoyed everything about our stay with Ronnie and Arman, especially getting to know them. We loved everything!

• Schrauth (10/5): The ONLY place to stay in Cobh!!! - Ronnie met us at the door with a warm welcome and invited us into his and Armans home and what a grand home it is. He showed us the downstairs,the sitting room and the breakfast area and then to our delight introduced us to George and Teddy, father and son golden doodles which really tickled us both as we were already missing our pup at home. He showed us to our booked room then gave us the choice of a bigger beautiful room with a wonderful waterfront view. Breakfast is made to order each morning and is top notch! He had day trip suggestions that were spot on and we enjoyed them. In the evenings he had dining recommendations that were wonderful even offering to take us to and fro in case we wanted to have an extra cocktail. We were so wowed by Ronnie and Arman that we both just can’t say enough. The last evening was the most special surprise of all as they invited us to dine with them and enjoy a wonderful meal especially prepared by Ronnie while Arman picked out some wines to accompany the wonderful meal.We visited for almost 4 hours.It was a truly memorable end to a wonderful stay. We can’t recommend Oakhurst Guesthouse enough! Thanks Ronnie and Arman. We will never forget our stay with the two of you!

We loved the Victorian house and absolutely every detail had been carefully thought of from the fluffy towels to the capers served with our smoked salmon and eggs. Ronnie suggested restaurants, provided directions to great stops and was genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Cobh. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The room was clean and spacious, offering a lovely view. The high ceilings, old shutters, beautiful staircase, and charming interior all added to the unique atmosphere of the house. The breakfast was simply incredible! In the sunroom, a beautifully set table awaited us, adorned with elegant cutlery and stylish dishes. The meal was varied, delicious, and truly perfect. Our breakfast felt like a masterpiece, and Roni, the host, is an artist who created it with care! We left with wonderful impressions, unforgettable emotions, and pure joy!

Oakhurst guest house is to me a place of serenity with it's scenic water views. • Jacqueline (10/5): Fabulous guest house, amazing hosts, tremendous value for money. Highly recommended. - We had the most amazing experience staying with Ronnie and Ahmad during our honeymoon. This was our first stop on a road trip around Ireland. We were upgraded to an amazing room with a sea view. We were brought Prosecco, chocolates snd a congratulations card on arrival. The breakfast was 2 courses of fabulous quality food. Ronnie was so hospitable it made our time there really memorable. Would definitely recommend to stay there. I hood to stay there again when I return to Ireland. Nothing. Everything was amazing.

The guys looked after me very well and went out of their way to care for my specific needs. I had a very early start on my departure day due to an event I was participating in, not only did they look after me for the early start but I was invited back to have a full breakfast later and a shower before I headed home. Very few, if any places would go out of their way like that for customers, I very much appreciated it I couldn't fault the place. I liked everything

The breakfast was amazing. It was quiet and comfortable. It was very close to a beautiful town. If we do come back to Ireland, we will come back to the Oakhurst Guesthouse. The only suggestion we have is that they have some tissues in actually the room.

Not far from the city centre (ca. 15-minute-walk) and also perfectly located to explore the area around Cobh. Ronnie is a wonderful host who made us feel welcome immediately. The superb breakfast, which was served in a beautiful conservatory, was just overwhelming!

The host Ronnie was so helpful when we were planning the trip and gave us good advice on restaurants. The bedrooms in this house are large with beautiful prints on the walls and lovely crisp clean linen, bathrooms lovely and clean with breakfast the next morning fit for a king ! • Robert (10/5): Perfect stay just loved it would stay again amazing place brilliant hosts - Absolutely everything especially the hosts who made us feel more welcome than any other B and B during our month long stay in Ireland and the UK the breakfast and attention to detail was much better than anywhere else. We felt like we were in a 5 Star resort the little extras were very appreciative like a Baileys might cap when we arrived back from dinner totally unexpected but appreciated. The breakfast was divine fresh berries yoghurt juice nuts and a cooked breakfast I wish I could put a photo up but it doesn’t seem that I can Absolutely nothing such care and attention to detail there was nothing at all that we didn’t like
