- James (9/5): -
- owen (10/5): Perfect location, lovely cosy wee cottage, would return and recommend. - Beautiful cottage Drive was a bit tight, parking bit ideal but we managed!
- Ann (10/5): Perfect! - Very quirky and cosy, great location, everything we needed plus amazing chocolate cake! An enclosed outdoor space for dogs would be great
- Laura (9/5): - Knockfarrie Cottage was very comfortable and homely and ideally situated to explore Pitlochry.
Naomi and Andy, the hosts were available for any queries but not intrusive.
Ours was a short break but could have stayed a bit longer.
- james (9/5): A lovely place to spend a week with the family and dog, easy access to great walks and facilities. - Cottage was just a lovely space to spend some holiday time. Cosy, with nice decor and well provided for. There is not much they can do about the 2nd bedroom being very small without a wardrobe - but there was ample storage in the cupboard off the hall way. The ceiling to the upstairs bathroom is quite low and I banged my head a few times (and I am only 6ft tall) - so this would be very awkward from someone taller.
- Milly (10/5): Location was absolutely perfect with easy parking. Walk to town is easy if not for the rain! - Kitchen was well stocked...really appreciated the bit of milk in the fridge for coffee in the morning! Chocolate cake upon arrival was amazing. nothing!
- karen (10/5): - Nice cosy cottage. Good location. Had.a lovely time
- Robert (10/5): Relaxed & quiet! Beautiful location! - Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful old cottage. Hosts were fantastic and allowed to us to change our details just prior to staying. So close to Black spout woods, the Blair Atholl distillery ( beautiful at this time of year with the Japanese creeper turning red for Autumn) and of course the Enchanted forest (Faskally woods). Also only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Pitlochry. Be wary though if bringing 2 cars it is a tight squeeze but possible with one of the cars in a small lay-by opposite. Easily accommodates up to 4. Peacefully quiet, only noise we heard was from an occasional train at the nearby train track. Dropped some phots of the surrounding area as there are plenty of the cottage else where. Nothing
- Laura (9/5): Lovely cottage - Lovely, cosy cottage in a great location. Really quiet, but close to town, and to the theatre.
Cottage was really well equipped and the chocolate cake a lovely touch.
- Aedyis (10/5): Très bien pour un séjour en famille - Beau cottage, confortable et calme, à proximité du centre de Pilochry. La place de parking est indispensable en haute saison car la ville est très touristique. Centre accessible à pied.
- Bianka (10/5): - A beautiful cottage that we would have loved to stay much longer in. well decorated, very cosy and comfortable.
- Clare (9/5): Beautiful and well located cottage which isxthe oerfect base to explore pitlochry - The property was very spacious and in a great location. It was very clean and modern and the hosts had thought of everything - lots of little extra touches and a the home made chocolate cake on arrival was such a welcoming touch. Beautiful walks on the doorstep were also a bonus. The outside space was limited but that’s just the nature of the design of the a cottage and certainly didn’t impact at all on the stay.
- Kirsty (7/5): - Lovely small cottage in a quiet but convenient location. Homely feel and plenty of space for 4 adults or a family of 4. Nice not to be charged extra for our dog. Great walks from the door. Very clean. No ventilation in the bathroom and window stuck shut. Downstairs toilet and cooker need checked. Seats outside are on drive where you park.
- Kim (9/5): An excellent holiday base - We had a good stay in this comfortable, well-appointed cottage.
It’s fairly close to the town centre, although a little too far to walk for one of us with limited mobility.
Pitlochry itself is a lovely town. We also enjoyed touring the local area with many beautiful, picturesque views and sights.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sian (9/5): A well equipt old cottage with some lovely features. - We had a great nights sleep!
Plenty of utensils in kitchen and good space in living room.
Downstairs toilet flush was difficult!
Hot water tap in kitchen needs looking at.
Lack of outside space was a real downside for us but the woodland walks just up the road were fantastic and made up for it.
I really appreciated the correspondence from Naomi with lots of helpful advice. Also appreciated the chocolate cake !
Thank you
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (9/5): Great cottage in a pretty location - The cottage is lovely with all the amenities you need.. close to lovely country walks Some windows with no curtains or privacy options are exposed on a popular dog walking route. Shower over bath has no rails or grab handles for entry and exit. Mince pies were lovely but after reading other reviews I was looking forward to chocolate cake...
- Woods (9/5): Superb - Lovely place, great location, near everything we needed and were going to visit. Good communication from hosts. Chocolate cake on arrival nice touch. Plenty of towels, toilet roll , washer dryer very much needed in wet weather. Games, hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner provided. Very quiet at night. Great streaming TV services. Would return! Randomly missing a potato peeler (need one when making dinners) the heating would automatically return to 9 degrees and we kept having to adjust it. Plugs limited and were very low to the floor so need to attach double plugs that were there. None of the above are massive problems, the cottage was beautiful and it was just a case of getting used to the place. Don't let it put you off visiting
Also it says there is no Wi-Fi on booking.com which is incorrect, there was excellent Wi-Fi!
- Rachael (9/5): Superb - Such a beautiful cosy cottage with everything you could need. From the pictures I thought it was going to be a bit small for 4 adults but it was perfect. Some lovely walks right on the doorstep and close enough to the town without being in the thick of it which it just what we like. Everything was great really. I didn't find the pillows particularly comfortable but I am a bit fussy there and they were fine for a couple of nights.
- Ka (7/5): a pleasant stay. the host was quick in answering my calls - location.
the cottage is less than 15 minutes walk from the city centre.
- Joan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant location
Clean and well equipped house.
Comfortable beds
Great hosts
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - Cottage was very comfortable, spacious and still cosy at the same time. A perfect spot to stay a few nights in Pitlochry. Location excellent, hosts very responsive, and no problems at all. Couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - Charming! I absolutely loved this little cottage, which is deceptively spacious. I honestly could live there happily.
Very tastefully done. Everything you could want and a lovely little reading corner. None.
- Linda (10/5): Lovely place - It was lovely, cosy and well appointed. Quiet situation, but not too far from centre of town. Lovely home made chocolate cake awaiting our arrival. Cant say there was anything to dislike.
- Alistair (10/5): Exceptional - The place was really clean and cozy, really quite the location I thought was perfect really close to the town but in an excellent setting
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfortable cottage. Everything you could need for a relaxing break. Location and surrounding area very peaceful and only 5 min walk to town centre. Early morning walk to bakery for rolls was very chilled.
Have visited Pitlochry before , but,1st time renting cottage. This would be my preferred choice fir next visit.
Expect cottage would be really cosy in winter and would definitely recommend. We cooked special dinner on first night and well stocked utensils , pots etc. made it painless.
Lovely large bathroom with 2nd toilet downstairs was fab when 4 women were
trying to get dresses at once. We had a very large car which did restricted the outdoor space, but we still managed to sit out and enjoy the sun. Would probably bring smaller car next time if we wanted to maximise outdoor option , but this didn't impact adversely on out enjoyment.
- Cathy (9/5): Lovely cottage with a great atmosphere. Would stay again when in area. - House was spotless and very tastefully furnished. Beds extremely comfortable and had everything needed to have a great weekend. Chocolate cake was a very nice suprise and was delicious. Wasn't aware of steep stairs down to property which was a small issue for one of our party.
