Guest Reviews

It was in a very convenient location and it is clear that the hosts take pride in their apartment. The toilet kept blocking and the heating was intermittent
- Steph (10/5): - Good location

- Danh (9/5): -
- Colin (9/5): Perfect 😀 - Beautiful, Spacious and very clean and comfortable Parking was a tad challenging!!
- William (8/5): -
- Jacques (10/5): Lovely stay! - The house is amazing, bigger than what it looks like in the photos. Good access to shops, and a great base to explore Anglesey Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze with a bigger car
- Colette (9/5): Lovely place for my dogs and I to stay - Really enjoyed the log fire on a cold February evening! Thank you for being dog friendly. The fridge is actually a big fridge freezer which was an extra bonus. Very clear instructions were provided to enable me to park properly at back of the property.
- scott (1/5): For us we couldn’t stay so it was a bad experience, would have left earlier but couldn’t find another place. - The house is large ideal for families and has a well stocked kitchen great bathroom and loved the family pictures.
Great bathroom better lighting perhaps.
Fire place stunning! The house itself smelt quite musty and there was damage to the sofa from cats which I have allergies to so after 2 days we had to leave, at the time of booking we didn’t realise they allowed cats, as we would not have stayed.
- Wendy (8/5): - Beautiful property Could find the machine powder, had to go and buy my own, or dishwasher powder but didn’t need it. We were late getting back from our walk, and just finished cleaning up running over our leave time at 10am. And the door unlocks 10.02 am with the cleaners. Very uncomfortable. We left at 10.15am. Otherwise a beautiful accommodation
- Adele (10/5): An excellent base to explore the beautiful Holy Island! - A lovely house! It was clean, comfortable and very much a home from home. The house was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable and the roll-top bath was perfect for relaxing after a winter walk on the beach, which is only a five-minute walk away.
The kitchen was very well stocked, and we really appreciated the thoughtful gifts left for us. The small garden was a bonus, and the log burner was excellent, making the house warm and cosy.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Thank you. Nothing!
- Heidi (10/5): Lovely house , has everything we needed - Victorian, tiled ornate floors, log burner, lovely big bathroom Nothing much
- George (10/5): Our new favourite place to stay in Holyhead! - The house is conveniently located to stores, walks, and town. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and pans- enough for us to easily cook Christmas dinner! There wasn't a thing we didn't like!
- Catherine (10/5): - The house was clean & spacious. Very good location. N/A
- Mcalinden (8/5): -
- Karolina (10/5): Great base for exploring Holyhead and Anglesey - I am very happy about our stay. Decor is awesome and we enjoyed evenings by the fireplace. The home has an everything we needed and beyond including dog bowls and dog towel. The property is a stroll away from a dog friendly beach and woodland park with sea views.
- Tom (10/5): -
- Kim (8/5): Great place to stay for a few days. - Comfy Beds. All the thoughtful.extras. Clean. Cute garden. Facilities nearby. Parking was very tight and personalised photographs felt a bit strange.
- Cobey (10/5): Great stay, beautiful property - Lovely house with all the extras you need.
Short walk to the beach and all the shops you need close by. Will definitely be back Nothing.
- John (9/5): Family holiday - Well-appointed home with plenty of space for family. All rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. The decor in the house was tasteful and impressive. The location was very good near a lot of amenities. We would definitely stay again. The stairs were steep and not for an elderly person. The shower head was not able to be adjusted and fixed in position.
- Dana (8/5): Comfortable and clean homely property - Clean and well equipped Parking not easy
- James Chaiwas (8/5): -
- Melanie (9/5): - Vielen Dank für das Begrüßungspaket.
- Sue (10/5): Loved it We'll be back in the future - We just loved everything about the house and the location The only thing we would say is that the bathroom lights were really dull.
Just wish we had more time at the house to enjoy it we were there for a wedding so didn't get much time to chill and explore the area.
- Daisy (10/5): Lovely house in a great location - Really well kept and spacious. In a great location. Felt right at home. Bathroom lights could do with being brighter but other than that nothing bad to say!
- Dianne (8/5): Super convenient location! - Literally a few minutes drive to Holyhead ferry port and local supermarkets, and only a 5 minute walk to Penrhos Beach. Great dog friendly stopover accommodation en route to the ferry. On site, off-road parking is very tight ...but was advised by host
- Jayne (9/5): Nice stay we were out all day golfing -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Real gem in Holyhead; clean, spacious and well equipped. A home away from home. Everything in walking distance. We loved our stay. Nothing really
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Everything you would need for your stay. Comfortable and close to the ferry port for Irish day trips. Being an old terrace the stairs were steep.
- Anna (10/5): Lovely house great location! - Lovely homely house, decorated to a high standard and well stocked kitchen with all the things you’d need. Lovely sun trap back yard & garden. Great location for exploring Anglesey, convenient for shops and close to beaches on Holyhead.
Helpful responsive owners. Really enjoyed our stay!
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - On arrival, the accommodation immediately made a big impression with every possible home comfort that we could have wanted. The location was ideal for us. The local amenities were close by while not intrusive. The walk to a quiet bay and the coastal path is 5 minutes from the door. The beautiful woodland area of Penrhos Estate with its Red Squirels and quiet bay is only half an hour further along the path. South Stack (we saw Puffins!) and Hollyhead Mountain are a few minutes away by car. We would not hesitate to visit again.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Beautiful house, great location! - Lovely house, beautifully decorated with high spec decor. Felt really homely. Really well stocked kitchen. Lovely yard & garden with sunshine throughout the day. Great location for access to the beaches.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Szymon (9/5): Overall great place to stay and great value for the price. - Spacious, clean & cosy. Garden with a secure fence where dogs can roam freely. We'll equipped, for everything you need. Dog friendly. Close to busy road.
- Rachel (9/5): Homely and spotlessly clean - Lovely little home, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Plenty of space. Handy for local amenities. Couldn't fault it. Earlier check in/ later check out would be nice (as is the same for most properties these days!)
- Steve (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable. - Excellent from start to finish. The accommodation had welcome gifts and all you needed for a comfortable stay.
- Kate (10/5): Lovely - Such a cozy, homely little house with everything that you need. Easy access to the beach opposite by foot and lots of places ten minutes away by car. Clean and spacious with a lovely bath. We will be back.
- Lynsey (10/5): Brilliant stay. - The layout. Everything was fine.
- Judit (10/5): Splendorous spacious colorful comfortable, loved it :) - This house is enormous and everything is working, which is quite rare to say. The shower was powerful and there was enough hot water for 3 of us easily with washing up the dishes. The kitchen is a dream. I liked the woodwork throughout the house. It is a place where you like to stay a bit longer not just using it for sleeping and go to explore Anglesey.
Although the house is on a frequented road, it was quiet inside and the garden is a little Mediterranean gem.
oh and all sorts of shopping is in walking distance, all sorts I mean we were actually want to go back to look around for kayaking related shops too. Found close parking in next road. I did not liked the parking, but that is my personal reference.
- Johanna (10/5): Dog friendly and very well located - Everything ! the house was clean, awesome and dog friendly ! Nothing
- Aimee (10/5): Perfection!! - The house was beautiful! It felt like home from the moment we walked in. The hosts have really thought of everything for your stay, from all the guidance leading up to your stay, down to a fire stick for the TV! We loved getting all cosy in front of the fire after a day of exploring the island. Honestly we can not fault the hosts or the property! We will definitely be back!!
- Matthew (10/5): Cosy family trip into lovely Welsh house with plenty to do nearby - Christmas tree on arrival was a nice bonus.
Spacious living room, bath/bed rooms and especially the wood stove. Kitchen lights could be brighter especially on the sink side.
Low hanging bulbs weren’t great for anyone over 6ft.
- Mark (10/5): All we could ask for and more we’re glad the hosts had thought about. - Exceptionally well appointed property. Super hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful homely feel. Super kitchen. Fantastic bathroom including power shower and separate freestanding deep bath. Blissfully comfortable bedrooms. Great lounge and dining area including an awesome log burner. Nice enclosed garden. Easy to find and great base for travels around the island. Parking at the rear was a bit tricky. Easily remedied with the support and guidance of the hosts
- Hermie (10/5): Beautiful, clean and spacious, homely house! - Really thoughtfully kitted out- even had rubber gloves! Had everything that we needed 😊. Spacious, clean and very comfortable- loved the log fire Holyhead itself isn’t the nicest town but this didn’t really impact our stay
- Marie (10/5): Family weekend - Had a fabulous family weekend. The house felt like home from walking in the front door
Very clean and comfortable with everything and more you could need
The location was great with a short walk to the beach shops and a pub
Would definitely stay again
Host very quick to respond and very helpful Nothing
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely house. Great facilities - Had everything you needed regarding facilities. Very cosy. Bed was quite uncomfortable. Could probably do with new mattress.
- Colin (9/5): Superb - A wee map or diagram showing a walking route from the rail station to the accommodation could have helped my old mind and body. Everything was fine. Stairs may have challenged the less agile.
- Gaynor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): We had a very pleasant stay. - It was spacious and comfortable with an excellent instruction book on how things work. The kitchen was well equipped and towels were provided. It is very difficult to get out of the parking space at the back of the house. It’s better to find somewhere to park in the street.
- Klaudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (9/5): Close to family and handy for the shops - The bathroom door needed to be made more private, you could see through the glass
- Phoebe (10/5): Home from home in a beautiful corner of the country. - Victorian Splendour was so comfortable and well-thought out. We felt at home straight away and found everything we needed easily. The beds were great and the bath was fantastic. There was a lovely garden corner to sit and eat in. 5 minutes' walk to the beach and 5 minutes' drive to the ferry terminal. Very handy to have supermarkets within walking distance. A shame we only had two days here before travelling on to Ireland. The costal scenery was stunning (and we saw the last of the puffins) - hope to be back - next time for a longer stay! Nothing!
- Imelda (8/5): Nice home. Nice garden. Close to ferry. Would recommend - Nice comfortable property . Providing all I need for a weekend stay with family. Nice home .nice garden . Would recommend x Glass in bathroom door. Needs more privacy.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (10/5): Clean warm and homely.. Absolutely lovely - Loved the house.. Comfy clean warm and homely.. Our hosts left a welcome beer and Welsh cakes.. Ideal for our base to explore Holy Island and the rest of Anglesey.. N/A
- Frances (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (10/5): Perfect stay in a beautiful house - This is such a beautiful house! Gorgeously presented and fully equipped with everything you could need. Everything is spotless and there is so much room. Thoroughly recommended. N/A
- Rosemary (10/5): Exceptional - Very good location, close to coastal paths ,bus stop and railway station.
- Andy (10/5): Lovely property, perfect location, well presented, would 100% go back - Location and size of property was spot on for our needs
The coms from the hosts was excellent, the instructions given perfect
Special mention for the quality of the bedding - superb
Really enjoyed our stay, well worth considering if in the area and there is a small group of you - worked out very cost effective The cooker, worked, but needed a little TLC (was clean just old) :) although no big deal, it wouldnt be balanced feedback if it wasnt mentioned - However the BBQ provided more than made up for this
The lack of a 2nd loo for the girls proved challenging, but this comment is more of a suggestion than any kind of issue
- Sarah (10/5): Great location, beautiful interiors! - Beautiful interior and facilities. Good location, short walk to the beach and hills.
Lovely Welsh gifts for guests too, Welsh cakes and local ale! Would definitely stay here again. I can't think of anything they could do to improve.
