Guest Reviews
- Claudia (10/5): Great stay with beautiful views - Beautiful location, with stunning views. Comfy accommodation with heating if you get cold
- Mavis (7/5): - Good location between Ross and Gloucester Could have been cleaner, floor was dirty and the pans were dirty
- kerry (4/5): Quiet and blah - Quiet
The pub at the bottom of the hill was great. Fantastic food. Very cold. Not enough wood to burn through the night. Too expensive to keep buying. The carpet was soaking wet, obviously there was a leak.
We didn’t meet any staff either which would have been quite nice.
- lucie (9/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic location next to a gorgeous pub, lovely views and a fab little village store. The beds were so comfortable and the showers nice and hot. We loved the little kitchen huts and covered seating areas for each unit. Nothing, it was all great.
- Sarah (10/5): Eating , laughing and loving the peace and views - Lovely people , lovely location , had the best time
- Charlie (8/5): -
- Kelly (3/5): Upsetting and disappointing - The location would ahve prefect for a quiet relaxing break On booking.com it says your staying in a tent which makes you think of a bell tent. Its a shepherd hut. Which is totally different from the bell tent in everywhere
- Sandbrook (10/5): -
- Connor (10/5): Quiet, peaceful and a very chill time! - Clean and very comfortable, log fire was a lovely addition. Two second walk to a lovely pub and shops. Only a short drive away from lovely walks. I wanted a quiet weekend away for some peace and quiet and it’s exactly what I got. Couldn’t fault this place. It wasn’t really an issue but the the toilets are a little far away but they were clean & tidy
- Merlin (8/5): A great space in a lovely part of the country, all facilities clean and functioning well. The pod was very cosy once the - The glamping pod was stylish and spacious, the fire was excellent.
- Ishimiagi (9/5): - Beautiful glamping experience inside the dome and out.
Great bathrooms.
Comfy bedding.
Well equipped kitchen, no need for anything more. The bathrooms were a little far away but I would book the closer dome next time.
The dome had a few puddles inside on the floors and tables.
- tun maw thu (8/5): - Yes had a very lovely and cozy nights N/A

- Natasha (5/5): Disappointing 😞 - A Lovely location and concept. Christmas lights, some decorations & a little tree were an appreciated extra. Not what we expected at all. It felt like this place was once great but now ran down. Such a shame. A cosy Yurt was advertised but instead we found a cold welcome, we had to ask / remind the owners for logs for the fire, we had to find our own matches / lighter, and clean the outside kitchenette before we could use it; it was not at all well equipped for a cosy winter stay. Bathroom was right at the bottom of the field away from our Yurt - take a bucket for an in the night wee!! And bring your own travel kettle would be my advice. The owners could have added a few little extras that would have made this much more welcoming and comfortable. I shouldn’t have to call upon arrival for things that have already been paid for and promised.

- Anotart (6/5): Pleasant stay - Overall it was pleasant, clean and easy to access. Showers were good. Underfloor heating nice. Little bits like central seating area seemed nice and benches for each unit with fire pits. Bell tents in good condition, warm and dry. Shepherds hut was in good condition. No staff around and no reception area. Arrived at night and had no idea where we were meant to stay without doing a few circuits in the dark. Had a slightly forgotten feel to it, no lights working outside, no milk in the fridge for tea and coffee. No running water unless you go to the toilet block at end of field.
- Emma (10/5): Great location and perfect base for exploring - Great location for walking and exploring the area
- Catt (10/5): The most amazing, peaceful time away when you have a busy hectic life. - Beautiful glamping site! Stunning views, it was perfect location, gorgeous little shop with such a range of items. And pub/restaurant like 2 minutes walk away! The shower rooms were so lovely and the underfloor heating… it just perfect! It wasn’t about the property more the farmlands next door.. there was a gorgeous dog who very much wanted his owners to play with him sooo there was a bit of barking but wasn’t really a problem for me, more my partner.
- Amie (10/5): Wow,beautiful - Very tranquil and enough space for everything
- Lottie (10/5): Loved the whole experience and would definitely recommend and be going back! - Loved the location and the vibes of the yurt. Very cosy Nothing
- Roi (9/5): Tranquil and aligned with family quality time - The tent was clean and tidy and the kitchen fully functional. Also, the toilets were well maintained, even when other guests were less careful. The outside eating area of our tent was a little bit unbalanced, as the ground was irregular, so the table was torn. Also the wooden roof over it was quite low and both of us knocked our head twice (I actually hurt myself as I'm bald hahaha)
- Diana (10/5): Nice Glamping Site, definetly recommended! - We had a lovely stay at Green Acres Glamping! Tents are beautiful and comfortable. Well equipped with everything, private kitchenette very handy. The view is perfect, lovely grounds to go for a walk around the camp. There is also a local shop just down 1minute walking, which we found very convenient. The only negative things are: wi-fi was not working during our stay.
And second thing: while booking, although you select "tent", it might book you the only shepherd's hut on site.
As we aimed to have a tent experience for the kids, and there was availability during our stay, the manager has kindly accommodated our request, but this is definitely something to consider when booking.
- Robert (10/5): Relaxing. - Great location and an excellent pub just 2 mins walk away.
- Mansfield (7/5): Good - Clean and tidy in shepherds hut. Peaceful location. Clean, well maintained shower block. Maybe store items better over winter. Wooden spoon mouldy so had to buy. Outside furniture cushions probably need storing better / replaced. Bin in washing up area would help for any rubbish.
- Adam (6/5): Pleasant - Loved the location. Loved the outdoors and the bed was very comfortable. Shop just across the road and a pub at the bottom of the field. There's alot of things to do around the area and everywhere is pretty well priced I didn't like that i couldn't lock the door from the inside at night . Twisted my ankle within ten minutes. walking off the end of the slabs at the dome probably my fault . You have a bench with a wooden canopy to sit out side which is very low I mean below my chin and im 5'7 so short and I managed to hit my head twice and cutting my head both times . It really should have a foam padding on it just as a precaution.
- Sarah (8/5): A lovely glamping escape in a pretty village with lovely views. - Beautiful location, easy to walk our dog. Very easy access to both the local country pub and lovely quintessential village store with juicy local strawberries. Loved the bell tent, really comfy beds and Egyptian cotton bedding. Great outside kitchenette with all equipment needed for tea and breakfast.
- Ramona (10/5): Exceptional - The view was amazing!!!
- Patrick (6/5): The price was correct to the value. - Accommodation. Standards
- Davies (10/5): Excellent campsite would recommend - The local pub was lovely food and the local shop was handy and had lovely staff the accommodation was clean comfortable and tidy everything worked except the WiFi The WiFi didn't work the kitchen area was a little small but workable
- Vanessa (10/5): Lovely little glamping site - Lovely quiet location. Tent was great and the facilities were nice and clean. Great stay Nothing
- Lizzie (10/5): A brilliant adventure in the outdoors with a touch of luxury - The yurt is surprisingly spacious - especially given that there were four of us staying. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was well supplied. We didn’t come the plug sockets till we were clearing up to leave but that was definitely us not looking hard enough. They are there!
- Leanne (10/5): Perfect getaway - Lovely relaxing campsite with all the facilities and a great shop and village pub 2 minutes walk
- Sarah (10/5): A perfect spot for a great getaway. - A well maintained site. Each unit has its own cooking ‘shed’ and gazebo with table and seating. The bell tent we stayed in was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. A great site. N/A
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Nice place, good showers/kitchen facilities, nice setting and a great local pub yards from the site
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (9/5): Family cycling trip - Shower block was great. Kitchen useful, good facilities. Met our needs Bit cold at night, couldn't work out how to turn heater on, personal instruction would have been good.
- Virginia (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely place and people would stay again.
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Great fun - would be great for 3-4 families to book together - Great facilities Weather could have been slightly better!
Pub 1 minute away being refurbished - opening shortly
- Deborah (8/5): Lovely spacious tent and good shower facilities - Tent was warm and cozy, beds comfortable, shower facilities clean It was a shame the local pub isn’t open and that the road was noisier than we expected
- Bonnie (9/5): Exactly as advertised and perfect base for exploring the Forest of Dean - Electric heater wasn’t working but other than that it was all good. Great shower block
- Aimee (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulously clean
- Meg (10/5): Can’t wait to book again - Absolutely beautiful, the facilities are excellent and all so clean! Felt very 5*
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Smith (10/5): Relaxing with amazing views - It was amazing great views, very clean and tidy. Comfortable bed definitely somewhere to go and have an amazing relaxing time. It rained one night we was there and the sound of the fire going and the rain on the dome I was asleep in seconds. Not first time we have stayed there and definitely won’t be the last ❤️
- Jo-anne (10/5): Peaceful break, dome was lovely, bed was super comfy and the grounds were lovely - Comfortable and homely very peaceful
- Francesca (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (9/5): Lovely location and I would definitely consider going back - The cleanliness and location. The local pub being closed… not the campsites fault but impossible to get a taxi anywhere.
- Natalie (1/5): Disappointing my bday was spoilt - I feel the issue with the electrics sparking was played down by the host. As an electrician I would not have passed these sockets pay testing clearly hadn’t been done. We left a day early due to sheer coldness and lack of heating. I appreciate it’s winter but surely the host wouldn’t stay in this freezing cold environment The bunk beds were good and how clean it was is all I can say and that scraping the barrel
- Caroline (10/5): lovely stay will go back again - very nice just the right size bed comfortable, close to a shop, same the village put was closed for refurbishment but other pubs local. no lights to the shower/toilet block very dark at night
- Shakespeare (9/5): Superb -
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Vicky (4/5): Disappointed with stay, - Toilets and shower room was alright, and having a freindly shop on main road, Advertising should be better as it stated a tent and we was given a tiny sheperds hut, and we did not book a bed with ladders aswell, which caused myself a accident, being disabled, got locked inside, as lock on door was stuck, which is unsafe as the fire was on inside, caused a bit of a panic, stayed 1 night out of 3, didn't get a refund, disappointed.
- Jones (10/5): Exceptional - The yurt was well layed out and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. N/A
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - The views were amazing. The yert was beautiful. Lovely size. So nice to relax. As a married couple with 4 kids it was so lovely to get away on our own and relax, go for lovely walks. We will be bringing a child or 2 next time. We are already planing next year's weekend away.
Thank you Nothing. It was beautiful I wouldn't change anything.
- Vicky (9/5): Superb - The ease of use of facilities and the comfort of the tent. The heater was a lovely touch, very cosy. The noise of the road was quite loud.Ear plugs needed.
- Bianca (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Conor (9/5): Superb -
- Rose (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (9/5): A little gem in a lovely village - The view was wonderful and the site being small was not overcrowded and allowed for privacy The geo dome we stayed in needed a bit of attention
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Lyndsey (10/5): Couples trip away - What a lovely find. Lovely clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was in the yurt. The owners were helpful and friendly. Lovely clean and warm shower block. We will be back we had a great time thank you. Highly recommend the yurts.
- Bridget (8/5): Very good - Peaceful location, short distance from the site. Bed was higher off the ground than planned for
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb - The yurts bedding was really comfortable. My granddaughters loved it. Setting lovely great local shop. Some local noise one evening sounded like motor bikes racing.
- Tracy (8/5): An enjoyable experience. - Lots of space between tents so very private. Lovely safe location if you have young children. Beds were comfortable but small. Nice underfloor heating in the toilet and shower block. Nice views. Overall an enjoyable experience. The double bed was a very small double. It is worth booking an extra bed for the tent which fits in easily. And remember to bring towels.
- Bethany (9/5): A lovely peaceful and relaxing stay. - The location was lovely. It’s so quiet and peaceful! The yurt was really nice and cosy and felt far enough away from the other properties that you had some privacy. The bed was comfy and the toilets and showers were clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The listing said there were three beds however when we arrived there was only one. The staff did rectify this when we alerted them though.
It would have been really nice to have a table (even just a small one) inside the yurt for when it was raining as well as a brighter light (the lights were very dim).
- Lynne (9/5): Superb - Very quiet & peaceful. Comfy bed. Good shower with plenty of room & very clean. Nothing
- Craig (6/5): Pleasant -
- Noreysi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (8/5): A cosy pleasant stay - Our glamping tent was great, it had plenty of room and the bed was really comfortable. The field was kept and maintained well with plenty of room between the glamping huts, yurts or dome tents. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and toilet roll was provided, again well maintained. I loved the idea of having our own little kitchen units near our tent with a seating area. Greenacres Glamping site is situated in a little village (Lea) just outside Ross on Wye historic town with approx.10 minute drive in. The nearest pub was approx 40 minute walk from the site. The heater in the tent was really handy for the colder evenings which made our stay so cosy .Would definitely recommend a stay here. Thanks Greenacres. Nature being nature the crows are noisy extremely early in the mornings. ( even with my ear plugs in).Not the sites fault. I eventually managed to fall back to sleep and then wake at a reasonable time.
- Debashish (9/5): GREAT stay! A must-do getaway for glamorous-camping (glamping)! Can highly recommend. - Loved the place - it is in a beautiful setting. The dome room we got - Osprey - was big, nice and comfortable.
The kitchen is a lovely little thing which was quite functional and helped us make our own meals. We opted to go with the firewoord and even did the BBQ. It was all really good and we can highly recommend. I really think they should provide their guests with the keys to the tent they are going with - ous had a door and a keyhole but we were never provided with the keys.
IF by chance, something goes missing - it can really turn the trip into a bad one.
Also we couldn't access the WiFi networks which had the maximum strength - which we really wish we could.
- Brian (9/5): Perfect location for train spotters like us. Three major heritage railways within easy travel distan - Location was fantastic. Nothing. The part owner we spoke to was very helpful.a new experience for an old fellow.
- Charlotte (6/5): Lovely place, but needs some TLC - Lovely location, great views, peaceful and relaxing. Excellent bathroom facilities. We did enjoy our stay, the highlights were the location the views were lovely, the tents positioned well allowing privacy. The shower blocks have been done to a high standard and are a definite postive to the stay.
The tent is spacious but we feel there are areas for improvement that would make it fit the luxury glamping market. The mattress really needs replacing it is not comfortable at all and we didn't sleep well, it was so bad we went into town and bought a mattress topper. In addition the mattress is frayed and stained and no longer fit for purpose. The furnishings in the tent could be improved upon the chairs provided are basic and uncomfortable, we feel the tent would benefit from more comfortable chairs or maybe bean bags as well as more cushions for the bed.
The side tables and lamps have seen better days and need replacing. The bed also needs replacing, the head board is torn and frayed and the slats are mouldy.
The outdoor seating is on a slant so when we ate at it everything kept toppling over, this would be an easy fix to level it out. We would recommend providing smaller frying pans as it was difficult to cook with two pans at the same time as they wouldn't fit on the hob.
If these adjustments were made this would be a 10/10 stay for us. We did have a good time but wanted to be constructive and honest in our feedback, a good night's sleep is so important and we didn't get that.
- Louise (9/5): Superb - Great facilities, beautifully quiet & exceptionally clean
- Emery (6/5): Osprey - Room was lovely, well decorated and in a lovely location in the field with a perfect view. Bathroom/shower rooms were also very nice, shower was lovely and hot, liked the idea of using tokens to stop using too much water. The bed was very comfortable, and sheets were clean. Had almost everything we needed, didn't try out the air conditioner but I feel it would definitely be needed on a hot day. I think the kitchen shed should be on the same side as the opening to the yurt, plates and bowls were inside the yurt but everything else was outside and on the opposite end to the yurts entrance. Makes it a bit more convenient if there was everything you needed in the shed for example cooking utensils eg. Fish slice, wooden spoon.
I also think that if the yurt/hut comes with a wood burner then there should be at least 1 night worth of wood included in the final price, we arrived late because of traffic (we had a 5 hour car drive which turned into 7) and when we arrived it was too late to buy wood so had a very cold night. We had assumed that wood was included and there wasn't anything on the advert that said otherwise
- Emma (9/5): Comfortable stay for families and dogs in a pleasant location, would happily come - Our yurt was lovely, comfortable and clean. Other facilities like the kitchen, toilets and washing up area were good. Good local shop on the doorstep. Good outdoor space for kids to play/dog to run about. Staff were helpful and pleasant when contacted. Log burner was lovely to have and great that we could get a starter kit after we arrived. We hadn’t had a confirmation email of which tent we were in so had to call owner on arrival rather than self check in but not really a problem for us.
Kitchen utensils a bit hit and miss, again not a massive problem but just mentioning as the point of glamping rather than camping is not to have to take things like cooking stuff.
Unfortunately, our gas ran out on the last morning. We hadn’t used it much and there wasn’t time to get it replaced before check out so just something to keep an eye on.
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Leeanne (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the area.the dome was spotless. Took us a while to find the communal Wasing up area, a sign on the door would help! The dome was spotless, the outside kitchen ideal. Showers were part of individual bathrooms which were clean and hot!
Definitely need a car and advised to research and book places to eat. Came from the area growing up, and many pubs have now closed. Will come back again for a chilled break.
- Matt (10/5): Amazing place - back soon - The family who own it are so ready to assist with anything you need to help you. Literally do anything to make our stay conformable Leaving
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Would definitely do again - Something different for the kids Was very cold when we arrived (understandable given it was January), so potentially could have put the electric radiator in pre-arrival
- Leonie (7/5): Just the tonic - A unique getaway and something different. The showers and washing area were exceptional The pod was tired looking inside and a bit of water dripped on me in the night when it rained. Nothing major, but made me jump
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thilini(tilly) (9/5): Superb -
- Hugh (8/5): Relaxing and grew on me - It was very bijou and, in view of the turn in the weather, surprisingly warm.
The bed was very comfortable and the toilet/shower block was spotless.
Views from the site were fantastic.
The staff were very chatty and welcoming.
Suggestion: a recycling point? For my back, climbing up and down the steps onto the bed (at top bunk level) was a struggle.
I am glad I was on my own with my dog; two adults, in poor weather, would probably find it quite cramped.
The 5 minute shower concentrated the mind, especially struggling to get the water temperature set.
Possibly not practical, but towels (or advice to bring them (might have missed that)) would be good.
- Amanda (8/5): So friendly and welcoming we could happily have stayed longer - Very secluded site.
Helpful hosts.
Extremely quiet location.
- Amy (7/5): Cozy glampsite with little staff - The sheets and linen were the softest I have ever slept in! The outdoor kitchen was nice to have in a glancing setting. The showers were fantastic. The staff was very helpful over message before our stay but during our stay we only saw someone once who was quite cold. Couldn’t easily access bbqs or fire pits as promised and ended up not being able to find someone to borrow these. Also quite a few spiders.
- Deb (6/5): Pleasant stay and facilities. I wouldn’t recommend because of the dog fouling situation. - Good shower and washing up facilities. The bed was comfortable. I liked the shed kitchen and outdoor eating area. I really didn’t like all the dog owners allowing their dogs to crap on the lawn area. This happened throughout our stay and included all of the dogs on site. The owners were good at clearing up but there were some exceptions. Not great when going to the wash block when it was dark.
- Ian (10/5): Nice relaxing visit in a beautiful location - Beautiful location, clean and tidy site, beds are really comfortable, the marquee/bar is a really good addition for groups.Air-con units in the dome tents is ideal in summer, Requires a cutlery audit as some units had lots and some didn’t have enough, we booked the whole site so we were able to share, a lot of spiders and webs inside tents that a vacuum could deal with (I understand it’s a rural location) lack of fixed lighting in the marquee as solar lights are not serviceable, a small welcome pack with a pint of milk would be a nice gesture
- Eva (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Ana-maria (10/5): Perfect birthday weekend - We had an amazing weekend at Greenacres Glamping!
- Rob (9/5): Very enjoyable. - There were no recycling bins for plastic bottles, cans , glass bottles or food waste. All waste went in one bin.
- Polly (9/5): Very peaceful and a great stay! - The accommodation was very comfy and had all the facilities we needed. The toilets and showers were clean and private. It was a little dark inside our accommodation at night (we stayed in the Shepherd’s Hut) as there was only one lamp - but this wasn’t a huge problem!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
