• Gladis (10/5): Ottimo - Appena arrivati sembra di essere lontanissimo da tutto, mi chiedevo come sarebbe stato il mio soggiorno, devo dire che già subito la gentilezza e la semplicità dei titolari mi hanno messo a mio agio. La cena è stata bene oltre le aspettative piatti ricercati sapori della zona eseguiti con cura e passione. La colazione ottima abbondante. Che dire spero di poterci tornare
• Valeria (10/5): Esperienza da ripetere - Cosa ti aspetti? Cosa vuoi dal tuo soggiorno, breve o lungo che sia? Io volevo proprio quello che ho trovato. Anzi, ho avuto la fortuna di trovare più di quello che avevo sperato. La locanda è adagiata in una vallata tranquilla, raggiungibile dopo un percorso di curve e tornanti sponsorizzati da Travelgum. Una vampata di aria calda ti abbraccia non appena apri la porta e poi ti ritrovi nel regno di Maura e Giacomo (ma soprattutto di Vecio). Prima cena con pizza preparata con lievito madre. Papille gustative in festa! Eccellenti preparazione e materia prima. La stanza che ci viene assegnata è una classica camera da letto da rifugio / hotel montanaro. Calda, accogliente e pulita. La sorpresa inattesa arriva al risveglio, quando la luce illumina l'intera vallata ai piedi del nostro terrazzo. Per la cena della seconda sera abbiamo voluto esagerare. In un'atmosfera familiare, alle prese con umani educati/gentili, abbiamo fatto un po' i FENOMENI approfittando di un menù molto ricco per assaggiare i piatti tipici e bere una quantità non pervenuta di vino rosso. E poi non ricordo più nulla. A parte gli scherzi, io ho mangiato divinamente. Il cuoco è un maestro del disossamento ed ha preparato delle carni ripiene da sogno. Giacomo non ha una preparazione accademica ma deve aver studiato tanto, fuori dai circuiti consueti, per proporre dei piatti che fanno perdere i sensi. Ed eccoci di nuovo all'incipit. Cosa ti aspetti dal tuo soggiorno? Io mi aspettavo banalmente di "staccare la spina". Il soggiorno alla locanda Genzianella mi ha ridato ossigeno e pure un bel sorriso. Sono pronta ad affrontare l'inverno in città. FIno alla prima sosta disponibile. Per tornare a Costa di Gargnano per fare un grattino a Vecio. Nulla

• CAGOL (10/5): Bella locanda - I proprietari sono molto accoglienti e professionali. Il cibo è favoloso. Il paesino è un po' lontano ma vale la pena se si cerca tranquillità e bel paesaggio. La mia cagna è stata accolta con amicizia.

• Raffaella (9/5): Una locanda d'altri tempi che ti fa innamorare - Ho prenotato pensando ad un posto vista lago, e risalendo la lunga strada a tornanti ad un certo punto il Garda non si vedeva più e si era immersi sempre più tra colline verdi. L'iniziale pensiero "che fregatura" ha lasciato posto alla sensazione di benessere e pace che la frazione di Costa di Gargnano, in cui si trova la Locanda, genere. Una locanda d'altri tempi aperta tutto il giorno per gli abitanti della frazione, dove si fa il pane nel forno e poi lo si sfrutta per fare la serata pizza, cuocere le verdure ripiene e l'agnello... La camera, nel nostro caso in una dependance tipo "albergo diffuso", era fornita di minifrigo e microonde, utilissimi. La colazione, compresa nel prezzo, vale tutto il soggiorno: rorte fatte in casa, frutta, yoghurt, affettati e formaggi locali, ogni ben di Dio. E' davvero una gemma nascosta del Parco dell'Alto Lago di Garda, da scoprire e da custodire. L'unica cosa, che però è stata risolta con la possibilità di vedere la partita dell'Italia del basket nella locanda, è l'assenza di una tv in camera, cosa che peraltro per noi è abbastanza irrilevante, salvo appunto in occasioni come queste.

• renáta (10/5): - This guesthouse is a real wonder. It is located in a tiny mountain village, in a stunning natural environment, with breathtaking views. Perfect place for those who love peace and quiet. The staff is very kind, the food is always freshly prepared with local ingredients. I liked the authentic decoration of the rooms. We only stayed here for one night, but we will definitely return for a longer stay.

• Paola (8/5): Tranquillo e rilassante - Molto gentile la signora. Ottimo cibo e grande varietà nella scelta. La struttura è datata, ma pulita. L' arredamento vecchio, ma perfettamente funzionante: si ha l' idea di essere ospiti in casa della nonna.

It was a beautiful ride up the mountains and along the valleys into a picturesque little village. Perhaps I would have preferred a little screen between the balconies for added privacy between guests.

• Arthur (10/5): A calm and friendly place - I must say major thank you to Maura for rescuing us while our car broke down in between mountains! Amazing views and great calm place to rest. Multiple free parking areas available around. It's a short drive to lake Garda. Can enjoy a cooler climate compared to down at the lake. Restaurant uses local produce. Fridays they have pizza dinners, so people from the valley gather. I'm glad that the community is being supported. And I hope they will prosper! If I have to be picky then the drawbacks are that you basically can get there only by car. As this is a small village there are no shops or any other restaurants.
• Zsolt (10/5): Exceptional - The accomodation is in a really calm and peaceful village, which has a really wonderful neighbourhood. The weather is much more pleasant there than on the lake shore. It is a 30 minute drive from Lago di Garda. The staff was extremely friendly and we received a warm welcome. There’s an incredible view from the balcony and the rooms are fully equipped with everything you need, and they’re also really clean. The soaps and shampoos are local products, too. Their restaurant has a full menu of delicious meals, which are made of locally produced food ingredients. We would like to highlight the Friday Night Pizza party, the roasted goat, the pastas and we also would like to recommend you the vini da casa.

• Lesley (10/5): It was fantastic, we loved the area and the village. The residents love if their village is apparent in all of the flow - The hosts were most welcoming and helpful. The accommodation, was comfortable, clean, with a balcony - the views are just so beautiful. The bar & restaurant area are great spot to meet locals and travelers and just feel relaxed and at home. Nothing.
• Līga (10/5): Exceptional - If you like mountain views outside your window, this is the perfect place to stay. To get here you will need a designated driver, as there is turn after turn, after turn, after but the view is worth it. Our flight arrived late in the evening but our host was so generous to wait for us. The rooms are simple but nice - double bed, shower, towels, terrace, wi-fi. We were lucky with the parking space, because there was a place near the accommodation, but it could be difficult to find a place in the summer. Breakfast was simple but tasty - just like at home. We had scrambled and fried eggs and bacon, bread, cheese, ham, tea, coffee and orange juice. We only stayed one night but would love to come back again to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view of the mountains. It's not a real negative side, the drive up and down is challenging, so be aware that it will take you some time to get there, even though it's not that big of a distance in kilometers. We wish the towels were a bit softer as they were quite rough. The shower head is fixed to the wall and doesn't move and you have to be patient to get hot water.

Especially the view from the balcony and the charm of the silence of the village are priceless. The highlight is the food, which Maura and her team serves. All the products and meals are not only delicious but come also from the surrounding villages. We would definitely like to spend another vacation at Locanda Genzianella.

The room was comfortable with a balcony that had a stunning view. Overall fantastic and one for the memory bank! Thank you so much Nothing but parking was a bit tight but not a problem just park at the top and walk down to the B&B.

• Arnold (10/5): Absolutely amazing! - Easy to reach from the Garda lake if you don't mind the quite curvy mountain roads. You could park nearby for free, which was a huge plus. The surroundings were beautiful, Valvestino lake is about 1.5h of easy hike from the place (just follow the signs). The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the view from the balcony was amazing! The owner and the staff were very kind and helpful, and the included breakfast was delicious! 10/10

• Lukáš (10/5): Great, relaxing stay ! Fully reccomended... - Nice small hotel in small village. Rooms are with charm of "belle epoque", clean with renewed bathroom. Breakfast offered on request with plenty variations. Balcony with view into hills and forests and during evening you hear nothing ! Pure silence , spa for nervs. As per atmosphere at the evening in the restaurant, Genzianella is point, where the friends from village and surrounding meet themselves with very smooth wood smoke smell from owen in the background, probably for homemade pizza or bread. Generally friendly mood and great relaxing stay. We stayed there just one night on the way to the sea, but if you search for relaxing stay close Garda Lake, but you don´t need overwhelmed streets and want to experience, how the ordinary people live in surrounding hills, you´re here on the right adress We appeared in the darkness and the way through forest on very thin way was scary and we slowly lost the hope, we drive right :-D But we get the hint from host how to follow the way and find the hotel. Nevertheless next day with full visibility wasn´t so dramatic. To the hotel we can´t say anything negative.

• Rafał (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionaly cosy place in the middle of National Park. Owners were superfriendly and helpful from the begining. Before our arrival we receive even direct instructions how to reach the place without navigation. Panoramic view over the hills and mountains from balcony of our room was truly great. Its a one of those places with soul. Our rooms had beatiful wooden furniture which is unparalleled in modern hotels. PS. We loved the tarta on breakfast!
