Guest Reviews
- Katie (10/5): Absolutely amazing and such a lovely little cottage. Would recommend anyone to stay here as it’s only a stone throw away - Had everything you needed all under one roof with such a lovely open space downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs!
Communication was 10/10 and if there was anything I needed I knew Michael and Helen were just a message away if needed. They were very attentive to my needs and nothing would have been a bother to them!
I stayed here as a little safe space away from the town for my wedding. I needed somewhere nice to get ready for my big day and this was the most perfect location! Thank you for allowing me to use your space to prepare for my big day and for myself and my husband to escape to after the wedding was over!
Thank you so much!

- Elisha (10/5): Highly recommend for a comfortable stay - Beautifully kept property and a lovely host. Warm greeting, even though we arrived after 9pm. Very spacious m, easy access and has everything you need. Very short drive to neighbouring Towns, 25 mins to the ferry port in Belfast. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay.
- Oran (10/5): - Property was very convenient for me and was a all round good property N/A
- Gerard (10/5): -
- Lizzy xo (9/5): Great little cottage - Close to everything, nice little cottage. Very responsive owners
- Melanie (8/5): Comfortable and inviting cottage. - The cottage is comfortable and inviting. Lots of windows inviting all the beautiful sunshine in. Washer and dryer worked well. We were able to continue our adventure with clean clothes! Host was pleasant and helpful. The cottage had great reading materials about local attractions as well as other areas of Ireland. 💚🇮🇪 The location is tricky, just off a divided highway. Cars are going quite fast there. If you miss it (which we did), you must continue on until it’s safe to turn around. I would recommend adding signage for guests marking the driveway in increments… “cottage in 1 mile, cottage in 1/2 mile, cottage in 1/4 mile, blind driveway for cottage here…”
- Maria (10/5): Cozy cottage - El menjador i la cuina són molt acollidors L'entrada amb cotxe és una mica difícil
- Simon (9/5): Very enjoyable and I would have liked to have stayed longer. - The property is behind the host's house and I assume its a converted garage or barn/farm building. There was a large open plan kitchen/diner with a bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. The property also a walled off garden to itself which was handy for our dog. It was well appointed and very comfortable. The main living area was bigger and better than ours at home! There was nothing to complain about the property at all.
The only slight drawback was the road being a motorway with cars travelling at 70mph. It was initially a little hairy getting in and and out; we did get used to it though and there were several other houses along there. Also the hosts did provide very good instructions on finding the house, depending on which direction visitors were coming from.
- Gillian (10/5): - Excellent wee hidden gem, brilliant as an alternative to a hotel
- Daniel (10/5): - El alojamiento es para pasar varias noches porque es muy bonito, todo amplio, limpio... Todo estaba perfecto
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (7/5): Good value for a short stopover. Friendly host, nearby if required. Well equipped and spacious - Host was friendly and met us on arrival, large spacious property with plenty of parking. Small enclosed garden, safe for our two dogs. Had everything we needed for a short 1 night stop. We even used the washing machine, due to a boisterous pup mudding up our clothing. People have mentioned on previous reviews about lack of cleanliness, however we found that the property was clean and smelt freshly cleaned. Host sent accurate directions, so we found property easy to find. Toilet seat is loose, i would have let host know, but we left early Sunday morning in a rush to get to our event, the bed in the double bedroom is very low to the floor, so we slept in the room with two single beds. A top tip, if you are using the shower, don't flush the toilet just before as it drops water pressure to the shower.
- Marie (4/5): This has the potential to be a really lovely holiday stay but changes to cleaning need to be made. - Tv with channels, breakfast bar and a brilliant hairdryer. The microwave was dirty, towels were still in washing machine, excessive dog hair all over the downstairs and up the stairs, downstairs floor was sticky and dirty so we cleaned it, fridge was dirty inside and had items left from previous guests, plastic utensils were all burnt, dirty socks left under the single bed, double bed very uncomfortable to sleep in, toilet seat still loose (from a previous review), shower is not strong enough but it still was clogged up so we had to clear the trap. The cottage was just not ready for guests when we arrived so we did what we could to make ourselves comfortable but if I could have driven straight home I would have done.
- Jill (7/5): Good base to explore the area. Fantastic garden in sunshine - The layout is stupendous, really beautifully done. The host were super helpful with a couple of minor issues (the lock box getting jammed and the wifi not being easy-my fault) the garden is fenced which is very handy for dogs or small children. The shower pressure is low. The road at the front is very fast and noisy, and quite difficult to navigate especially if coming from the north. We were surprised that there is no window in one of the bedrooms-a Velux would be a big improvement
- Elaine (10/5): Excellent and would highly recommend - Beautiful accommodation and lovely owners. House was so comfortable Nothing maybe entrance off the motorway a bit nervy
- Rebecca (4/5): Good space but all in all disappointing - Good size of space and all in all the cottage was handy location wise for visiting family. I did message the seller upon check out to provide feedback but received no response therefore I am not sure any difference will be made.
1. No heating on our first night - it was extremely cold and resulted in next to no sleep for us; I’m disappointed that a basic requirement such as having enough oil wasn’t checked before our stay, they ended up getting an emergency delivery on our second day.
2. Bathroom - the bathroom was not clean; the floor was grimey, the bin hadn’t been emptied, false eyelashes were laying beside the bin on the floor, the hand soap was empty (we had to get some for ourselves) and the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. After the first shower we ended up showering at my parents house.
3. No spare bin bags, toilet roll or dishwasher tablets (dishwasher tablets was important as there was no cloth or sponge to wash dishes in the sink).
- Rachael (8/5): Very good - Good location for the north coast road and plenty to do nearby. Quiet location with hosts on site if needed. The access in and out of the property directly off the main road.
- Suzanne (8/5): Stayed 1 night for a nearby wedding - Lovely open plan kithen and living area, immaculate, parking was great. The mattress needs replaced in the double room, you could feel the springs every time you moved.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (4/5): With I little bit of service and love the cottage could be wonderful. I would stay there again. - Location and space Dirty, cockroach,s in bathroom and generally run down. The shower and internet reflects the slower pace of life in Ireland. Tv relies on the internet.
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (8/5): Comfortable and reasonably priced, would definitely stay again. - The enclosed secure garden was ideal for our dogs. The check in was easy and private. The cottage was spacious and modern, well-equipped, and the hosts friendly and very responsive. Loved the crisp bedlinen. Poor WiFi on our visit. Couldn’t find tea towels and had to use a hand towel from the bathroom. Kitchen paper would be useful for spillages.
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Stewart (8/5): A very pleasant stay… - The accommodation was spotless and the facilities were excellent. We felt very much at home.. The owners sent me directions to the accommodation through my phone ,but we found that they could have put a sign outside the property due to the fact you were on a busy dual carriageway and it was not easy to spot the information given by phone .
- Berni (8/5): Rural, but close to town. Modern and comfortable. Good base for Belfast - Living area/kitchen was very spacious and well-equipped, very nice decor. Location was a plus...close to main road and both Antrim and Ballymena. Nearby petrol station and Spar very convenient. Welcome pack of biscuits and crisps a nice touch. Both bedrooms upstairs but no upstairs toilet made it a little inconvenient. WiFi speed patchy.
- Alistair (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts, and the space within the property. Nothing, everything was as expected and more.
- Nikole (10/5): Looking forward to returning again. - Lovely cottage. Very well equipped. Very spacious. Hosts were quick to respond and were lovely to deal with. Secure fenced in lawn/patio area which was perfect for our little dogs and very safe. Great location not too far from any of the attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
Road is busy but manageable. House is down a lane from the road which makes it tricky to find the first time but the host provided very detailed instructions.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Rebekah (10/5): The big, open plan living spaces were perfect for us as a family. We loved the cosy, light comfort! - It took a bit of a jiggle to get the key safe to open, but we worked it out eventually! Getting on / off the busy main road is a bit tricky, but you can't help the location, and it wouldn't put us off coming back to stay again.
- Colin (9/5): Lovely but not for us. - Huge living space with everything you could possibly need. Host very friendly and helpful. Not suitable for people with physical limitations, disabled or older people. No ensuite/toilet upstairs in the sleeping accommodation. Only one toilet and it was located on ground floor.
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good - The living area and kitchen were spacious. Location was good for exploring Northern Ireland attractions. The accommodation was more suitable for 2 adults or a family with children. Second bedroom was very small. Wifi reception could have been better.
- Brian (9/5): Loved our stay. Would stay again if revisiting Northern Ireland. Pleased to recommend it. - Privacy was good. Owners were easily contactable if any issues arose.
The location is fantastic. Very central in northern Ireland with anywhere accessible within a couple of hours.
Lovely fluffy towels and comfy bedding. The only bathroom being downstairs can be a problem if mobility is an issue. The loose toilet seat and sink plug jamming were annoying, but we did report these issues and am sure they will have been fixed now.
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Very clean and comfortable
- Laura (10/5): Nice and Spacious - Very spacious cottage. Modern and comfortable with all the cooking space you need. The owners live in the house in front of cottage but still had own privacy. Is just off a busy road but we were given step by step instructions on how to find it. Dog friendly which is always a bonus for us. Shower pressure wasn't the best.
- Dexter (10/5): Perfect location. Slightly difficult to find on your first go but easy after that. Had a fantastic time here and would s - Really big living space, lots of thought has gone into the property.
- Aileen (9/5): Superb -
- Eleanor (10/5): Absolute gem of a place, perfect location for exploring Northern Ireland and has everything you could need whilst on hol - Great facilities, and very comfortable place to stay. Slightly difficult to see the entrance from the main road when approaching (especially in the dark)
- Rainnaídh (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning cottage. Beautifullly decorated lots of usefull information and littke touches local.to the area, very well thought out.. Would be perfect for a family or some friends to chill with some food and board games after a day of adventures in the area. The Tayto and biscuits were a lovely bonus. Hosts were excellent communicating and with directions Bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is downstairs.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodation was excellent, very clean and spacious
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - The place is spacious and comfortable, The Kitchen was kitted out. It was very clean too.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Емилия (6/5): Not the best experience - The size of the cottage, the interior the, the location The kitchen, bathroom and the mirrors were not clean. There’s no full roll of toilet paper 🧻. There’s no hot water in the kitchen, and the bathroom sink. The heating was not turned on when we arrived. It was cold. 🥶
The big bed wasn’t comfortable.
- Elisha (10/5): This place was warm, secluded, and perfectly set up for us. - Secluded and perfectly set up! It was great! We didn’t find anything that we didn’t like about this place.
- Heather (7/5): Host response to us, means won’t stay again, could have apologised to us, but didn’t even bother - No hot water for 3 days, host said we had dishwasher, need hot water for basic hygiene after toilet, !! Shower door hanging off, toilet seat broke, bedroom blind couldn’t close, heat not working on Saturday night, cooking utensil not very clean, glad I brought my own air fryer and frying pan, living area comfortable , very hard to find the property, on a busy road,
- Rose (9/5): Superb - The place was spotless, host was very welcoming, great location Better quality pillows and water pressure in the shower was not good
- Sally (8/5): We had a busy working week and it was pleasant to return to - Carefully maintained and pleasant rural environment Busy road
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Superb property, modern, spacious and very comfortable, Heating was on when we arrived which was great, fresh milk in the fridge which was a nice touch along with other treats crisps and cookies. Really couldn't ask for any better very happy will be back for sure.
Thank you for your hospitality. Only if I was to be really picky
Dishwasher was full with dirty dishes/pots no tablets to turn on.
Shower on the weak side.
- Heather (9/5): Superb -
- Umar (10/5): Lovely cottage - Downstairs very spacious, lovely cottage, well maintained, easy access, very comfortable and warm. G Nothing
- Judith (10/5): Stylish cottage - great place to stay - Great cottage - very comfortable and well-equipped. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and location was central. We had a lovely stay and hope to return very soon. Would definitely recommend! Nothing (except maybe a sign or something to make gate stand out on dark County Antrim nights).
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roy (10/5): Fabulous - Lovely Cottage, feels like it’s brand new. Had everything one could hope for. Only slight difficulty was finding it. It is on a very busy road and we arrived at rush hour!
- Connie (10/5): Exceptional -
