Michael (8/5): Simply stunning ideal for a treat - What a welcome, never experienced anything like it, stunning interiors and one of the most relaxing environments. Ok so this down to personal preference, if you like Michelin star restaurants then you will love the food, for me/ us we love Italy for the simple wonderful ingredients we don’t need foam or miniature dishes ( and that includes breakfast) to impress us and if I’m being really honest service in the restaurant dinner and breakfast was average, it was a first for me when asking could we order some drinks to be told “wait” nothing else just “wait”. however saying all this I’d go back tomorrow to enjoy this stunning hotel

Andreea (10/5): Simply Superb - Absolutely fantastic place and people, but especially people, because no matter how nicely decorated or renovated a property is, it means nothing without the warmth of its inhabitants - and this is exactly what you can except at VM nothing but warm, welcoming openhearted people that are attentive to your every whim without even sensing their presence. People with dignity, culture and common sense that pour their hearts into making their guests feel right at home. Just a few examples : - we were welcomed at the entrance, it was raining, the team waited for us with umbrellas, helped with our luggage - we received a room upgrade from Deluxe to Junior suite - we received impeccable recommendations for restaurants and places in the area - we were more than welcome with out pet cat Gandalf, although I was forgetful to le VM know in advance that we were coming with a pet - we were welcomed to the restaurant for dinner every night without although we were terrible planners and never bothered to make one reservation - and lastly, but of no small significance, VM serves an amazing a la carte breakfast all day - and yes, this made us very happy not being very early risers And it's not only these actions, but also the authentic kindness of the team in VM where you can tell they are genuinely making an effort for their guests rather than faking pleasantries. As for the place, impeccable restauration, design, quality materials and fixatures; incredible bathrooms and showers and water pressure. The property landscaping is impressive, also the impeccable upkeep during this time of the year. Although we were there almost mid-November, so really off season, nothing felt like it was left unattended or in disarray. Everything here is perfect! Make sure you book at least 2 extra nights if you're only going to Umbria once - just so that you can make this place a destination in itself and enjoy some full days at VM - absolutely impeccable. Almost forgot, except for the Autographs in Marriot and my home bed- VM's beds are the most comfortable I've slept in a long time! Simply Superb!
Brogan (10/5): Practically perfect in every way - We came here for 2 nights (not enough!) after our wedding and were blown away. Fred & Cathi have created the most chic, gorgeous experience from check-in to check-out, the property is breathtaking and service was amazing. All of the staff members were so kind and helpful. We have stayed in many hotels in Italy and this felt so different in the best way possible. Everything is modern and well thought out, but still inkeeping with the Italian feel of the region. Breakfast each morning was incredibly generous; you are given fresh fruits / pastries / meats from the region, + get to order from the menu (which was all delicious). The dinners were incredible and use local produce, and wines were also amazing. Each night you are welcomed to sit outside by the firepit to chat to the owners and other guests, which was such a nice touch. The rooms are so comfortable and grounds were beautiful. I cannot wait to return. Honestly do not have anything to say - we loved it.
