• Karen (7/5): Very convenient stop off for a night close to motorway - Great location, just off the motorway, plenty of secure parking, friendly staff, great pool and gardens with bar area. Building is a little tired but price reflects this.
• Aline (10/5): Kind hospitality with mountains as a backdrop - Very close to the motorway. The welcome and kindness of everyone who works there. Ramon and Elena are wonderful and really looked after us as we had a car situation on the way. The room was immaculate and the small fridge was very welcome too. The pool with the backdrop of the Mountains. Nothing. All was great and so accommodating for my fur baby.

• Elizabeth (8/5): Aldeanueve stay - Everything was almost perfect. The ability to get a cup of tea or coffee would have been nice. The restaurant recommended 300 yards down the road, was a disappointment: the food was inedible.

A nice bonus. We even had a fridge in our room! Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. Highly recommend.

Lovely gardens with fantastic mountain views around and marble swimming pool Spacious ground floor bedroom with direct access to the garden for our 2 dogs. Very secure parking within gated compound. Nice continental breakfast with plenty of choice Steep stairs down to breakfast area with no handrails. Only 2 pillows on bed - needed 2 more but couldn’t find anyone to ask

• Cook (10/5): Overnight oasis during move south. Will Return! - The Pool is a gem in parklike grounds with old millstones as steps and decor, with outdoor bar. Peaceful not a perty scene. Mountain view from pool.Lovely. Local Iberian sausage and fresh baked bread, and more. Coffee, etc. Great air-conditioning. Silent room. The staff, especially Elena, went above and beyond, genuinely friendly, and helped me carry my suitcase.

• Marta (8/5): Nice pet-friendly hotel with gorgeous garden and swimming pool. - Wonderful garden with swimming pool, really nice and professional staff, great setting, nearby beautiful nature reserve. Great that the room included a fridge. Air conditioning was a bit loud, and the mattress was protected by some (plastic?) cover that made me feel very hot at night.
• Algarveian (10/5): A hidden gem - This was my tenth visit to this hotel and will not be my last which says it all. Great hotel lovely staff and they allow dogs. The parking is very secure in a gated courtyard. Nothing
• James (7/5): Comfortable place in a quiet village. - We have stayed before so had expectations. Room and ensuite are large and hotel is close to the motorway in a quiet village. The member of staff who greeted us did not speak English so we were put onto a phone call with someone who did. We were the only guests and no overnight staff so given the keys to lock up the hotel in the morning when we left.

• David (10/5): Exceptional - Looking out to the garden from my patio was an idyllic experience. A peaceful location with a glimpse through the cypress trees of the Sierra Gredos. The staff were amazing as was the breakfast. The best place I have stayed at so far on my cycling trip from Santander to Huelva.

• Stephen (8/5): Very good - A lovely Spanish characterful hotel. Very clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows. As it was December the heating was on and the room was nice and warm. The lady booked us in quickly and advised us on where we could eat that evening. It was an ideal stop for us with our dog on our way from Santander to Malaga as it’s close to the motorway in a small town. There is secure parking in the grounds of the hotel free of charge. We had the continental breakfast for 5 euros each which was perfect for us before continuing on our journey. We enjoyed a pleasant walk with our dog in the countryside to the special tree. Nothing

• Henning (9/5): A pleasure for people travelling with dogs. - A pleasure as usual. Very friendly staff. Rooms for my dogs and a big garden with a wall around. Nice area to have a walk with the dogs and a nice small bodega where you can get a meal. All in all a pleasure to stay there again.
• Linda (8/5): Dog friendly. - Lovely gardens, dog friendly. Aircon was turned off at 2am and didn't come on again until 8am. If I'm paying for a hotel with aircon, I would prefer to decide when I turn it on/off.

The Posada suited our requirements exactly and it is situated fairly close to the motorway (a very quiet one so no noise!), There are a couple of interesting places to visit if you have time - Grenadilla an abandoned but preserved village just 10km away, Also a family picnic area within walking distance of hotel. • Isabel (10/5): A hidden gem: beautiful and relaxing stay - Absolutely loved staying at this beautiful, country house and we wished that we had been able to stay for longer! We booked this stay as a stopover during a long road trip, but we enjoyed it so much that we hope to return and stay for a few days next time. Spacious and comfortable room with lots of natural light, and lovely views of the garden area. A nice terrace area outside our room, with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful and peaceful rural location. Relaxing pool area set in a beautiful garden. Outdoor bar and dining area which served drinks and delicious evening meals at very reasonable prices. Friendly and professional staff. Free and conveniently located parking area. Good wifi connection. Excellent value for money. We sometimes noticed a smell of drains in our bathroom area. However it was not enough of a problem to spoil our stay.

Sign for hotel on road through village would have helped to find it ( unless we missed it !).

Quirky property very warm with large secure garden & parking. Very hospitable hosts. Dining area rather noisy for evening meal due to large party but not really a problem.
• Chris (9/5): Hidden gem, in a quiet village but only a couple of minutes off the motorway. - The property is well kept and clearly cared with nice grounds, pool area and poolside bar. It is just a short drive from from the highway and is an ideal stopover en route to/from the Algarve and dog friendly too. Breakfast is exceptional value, made using local produce. One night’s stay does not seem to do the place justice. Nothing.
