Everything in the pics look better than in reality Just need proper maintenance and it could be a real pearl with lots of potential.

- Tuva (10/5): Exceptional - Location is perfect, and you have the most amazing view of the ocean where you can also check the waves and go surfing right outside your window. The personal is super friendly and you can ask if you need anything! There is a good AC and comfy pillows. If you are a light sleeper, on Saturdays it is very loud from the party next door until early morning.
- Chung (7/5): location was very good. They don't take credit cards so be prepared to go to the ATM across the str - location can't be beat. toilet didn't work properly, no fitted sheets, no bathroom soap, shampoo.
- Rodrigo (1/5): Terrible place! - I would never book this room and place again! Nothing was good about it. The place was dirty, with hair in the floor and the bathroom is terrible. The sheets were ripped and not very clean. Even with the view of the ocean, they were able to make it a bad staying. Staff was there only when we got here, just to charge us…. The breakfast that they say it’s included… it’s not, as the restaurant is not even open in the morning. Its a dirty and full of mosquitos room.
- Silvia (5/5): Passable - The view from the apartment and the sound of the waves from the balcony! I booked the option with “breakfast included” but there was not any breakfast available. At least they gave me the money back but just because I insisted. The bathroom looked like not even being cleaned before our arrival (sink and toilet seat were dirty). From the room you can hear the noise of the traffic but this is quite common in Sri Lanka if you stay in a place along the main road.
- Angelica (10/5): Most beautiful and chill place you could ask for - Everything… the balcony is the best spot on the beach and to watch the sunset/ waves, the view is breathtaking, a different level peaceful- I miss it already ❤️❤️ the owners are the raddest most wonderful people and every single person who works there is not only awesome but goes way above and beyond to take care of you. Sahan is a fkn rockstar. Great burgers as well, can’t emphasize that enough. Could not sing my praises loudly enough for this incredible place, thank you so much for having me and stoked to come back some day. Mad love Nothing it was amazing ❤️
- Suna (8/5): Ocean view Room - The check in is in the restaurant down under the apartment. The stuff is really nice. The room is a bit small but the view is amazing and you can hear the ocean. Common kitchen available. The bathroom should have more options to put your stuff on. The cleaner lady is very sweet, but she wanted to clean our room and did not knock on the door and just came in without permission. This should not work like that.
- Giovanni (5/5): Passable - Stunning ocean view and good location. The room is very different from the owner's description: the room is small, the bed is small (french style) and the bathroom is dirty. There were cockroaches, probably because the bathroom drain is not correctily installed: it's only a hole on the wall. Hot water didn't work during the first days and also the pression was very poor. In the room there is neither the TV flat screen nor the fan or a waste bin where throw away our trash. Furthermore the room is poorly soundproofed and you can listen to all the cars passing on the street (the hotel is opposite to a night club and the bus station) and in the common area the fridge didn't work and there was a table but not the chairs so you couldn't use to have lunch. Finally, hotel should be smoke free but the last night the staff was drinking and smoking until 3 am in the common area. We had to ask to stop to make noise and to smoke because the smell of smoking came also inside the room. Overpriced.

- Izzadeen (9/5): Value for money, excellent, peaceful and a wonderful getaway. - The food at Pelican was great and beyond our expectations. The staff were hospitable, helpful, and efficient. The hotel and room are located in an excellent spot by the beautiful Ahangama beach. We had a comfortable stay. All in all, great value for the money. The view from the room is amazing. We loved the fact that we had our own privacy. We liked the set-up at the restaurant and room. The cocktails were top-notch. The set-up at sunset near the beach was amazing. Our host, Stephan, was a friendly and helpful. gentleman. The property is situated in the town, and the ATMs and markets are next door, which was super convenient for us. The attached bathroom could be cleaned better, especially the wash basin and the walls. The bidet shower had a water leak, which could be fixed in order to save our resources.
- Prageeth (7/5): Convenient. - Service was Excellent. Host went out of his way to provide us with our requirements. Very flexible with out check in and check out time given that we were hours late on arrival. Nevertheless we were able to contact the host without any delay. Overall experience was great. Suggestions : Great if we were able to access the beach directly from the room.
- Garcia (4/5): value not worth it - The only good thing we experienced was the views. You can listen and see the ocean from your bed. But to access the beach you have to cross the bar which is downstairs. The balcony and the bedroom was super dirty. The living room which you share with other 3 rooms was a completely mess. There were food leftovers. The employees weren't attentive. The hotel has nothing similar to the photos in booking. It could be because it was out of session, nevertheless you has to offer at least at minimun of cleansing.

- Lihme (10/5): Exceptional - Great view from the Room. You have a kitchen if you like and the host provided water. Location is very centrum and literally at the beach. You have to clean yourself ofc. Nobody is going to make your bed but hey it doesn’t really matter :) (it’s a guesthouse)

- Tina (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Ahangama - stunning sunsets from the balcony - Our stay at Pelicanbay was absolutely perfect. Stephan the host and his team is very friendly and was more than supportive with all our requests. The room has a very beautiful balcony where you have stunning sunsets and wake up directly above to ocean to check the waves for the upcoming surf day :) The accommodation is perfectly located in the centre of Ahangama and even though it is directly at the Main Street, you don’t have any car noise at night so we slept very peacefully there. We will come back for sure! all perfect!
